That’s fair. Video coming.. and we talked about it a lot on this live stream about half way through as someone asked the difference between DistroKid and cd baby : th-cam.com/users/livebT10JvSetFI?si=X8bWSTnFNwQ4irkC
Great video !. However people still need to work on their marketing allthough they can upload endlessly music onto plattforms. This in order to get known by a particular audience or audience in general. Ohterwise they never gonna be heard. The pros of a real record company is that a record company has the big money to invest in for example marketing and merchandise. Nowadays its easy to distribute music, but other topics are left.
This is true and it’s the marketing budget that labels still have that help push the song or songs out there. That playing field I fear with never be level. 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Man plz if u could help me with this I have a distrokid acc and when i was navigating through the app i clicked into master a track for a mixea and it was saying its trial for free so i uplaoded a track and flipped the page while its loading and did not submit or approve any thing to be continued to figure out that 99 $ has been taken out of my acc for a free trial as it was typed and i did not want it and they took money out of my bank acc and i cancelled already the release and the whole track and still has not been refunded , i sent them an email and im still waiting for a reply , do u think , will i get refunded back for ghis extra or not , if u could help me plz ?!
Hey dude. Ahh that’s a shame. I don’t know as I don’t deal with them from a customer service point of view. All I could suggest (which you might have done already) is to go through here and chat to them: support.distrokid.com/hc/en-u Go to the bottom and there is a ‘contact us’ option. It takes you to an AI 🤖 but go through it and you can emend a message there. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Hope you get refunded.
@@ispitfactsregardless7535 Yeah the other platforms only show up on the earnings. Stats are still only counting Spotify but the earnings shows everything
Nope. Unless you want to add on their bonuses like leave a legacy or add to more stores. Check this out: th-cam.com/users/livelHtsi7XIFdQ?si=ICfIFAmjbyWZAFE_
sir can i ask why my artist name cant change in applemusic and spotify even if i change my artist name in distrokid. its been a month but dis not change my artist name in both platforms but in youtube is change already.
That’s a very good question. Have you claimed them both on the platforms? Once you release music you can claim your artist profiles and with that. Change a few things. If it’s not changed then have a look here: support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

That’s right, they don’t pay artists. They collect the money from all the places your music is played and store it for you which can take up to 90 days to recover and then you can transfer that money.
Damnn.. that’s not good! Did you have samples or stuff that was copyrighted from somewhere else? Or where plays on playlists where they are paid for? Did you reach out to their support?
Please talk about all the other fees and how it can increase with other features

With distrokid it’s never just that $19.99 every release that you upload that has extras you have to pay that every year which is super annoying
That’s fair but they are extras that are all optional. You don’t have to have the extras if you don’t feel like it’s worth it.
how can I contact Distrokid to fix my account, upload is delaying

distrokid vs asacap or both?
Both
GO HARD OR GO HOME DO IT ALL
How long it takes to get paid for you music?
Normally streaming services run on a 90 day schedule.
All my plays from every store are not show in my stats. Only Spotify plays are being counted and not the TH-cam ones, can you help me?
Go to DistroKid support here: support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us

Distrokid took down all my music and held my $3k and locked my tipalti from editing it
