That Zion shoe game was so surreal. I'm a die-hard Tar Heel one of my best friends is a diehard Duke fan. We watch every UNC/Duke game together. As soon as his shoe blew up we both looked at each other like "what in the world just happened...".

The electricity from just watching games at bars or restaurants is crazy. I’m from Durham & lived in Chapel Hill. The police block highways and cut off entrance to Chapel Hill at a certain time in hopes to contain the chaos that’s inevitable.

One of the great travesties in sports history that Zion did not play in that game at Cameron after his shoe busted. No matter WHO you are a fan of…we all needed to see him get busy that game.

@@jasonedmundson6299 He actually didn’t play in Chapel Hill either! Almost as sad. It was in the ACC tournament that he returned and faced y’all and UNC played lights out after all the Zion talk - as y’all were fired UP!! Duke barely made it outta that alive - and wouldn’t have were it not for Zion’s heroics.
That said…for a dude of that caliber not to play at Cameron was tragic. Same with Kyrie whose situation was even worst! Two of the top 10 Duke talents ever - never played at Cameron…I’m getting nauseous…I gotta go 😂😂
i get that feeling of losing to a rival. at a much lower level, i experienced that playing ball in high school. after a unc dook bball game the whole country knows. as a die hard heels fan, i feel awful after losing to dook. can only imagine being a player after a dook loss.

Isn’t Kentucky and Louisville more of a rivalry, although I’m going to Kentucky vs North Carolina for cbs sports classic my 2nd time seeing Kentucky vs unc I saw Kentucky play unc in elite 8 in 2011

UNC, I do not mind. But Duke sucks. Duke, gets any recruit they want. I dislike Duke forever. Most of the time, Duke is on EPSN. Put Villanova or Kentucky on ESPN. Screw Duke.

I love the UNC vs Duke rivalry as a UNC fan, but it's not best rivalry in sports. The best rivalry in sports is Real Madrid vs Barcelona; it's recognized by the entire world. UNC vs Duke is still great though.
