    Glad to see that you like the kit!
    Just want to add that if you want to reduce the spring travel even further and don't mind a stiffer initial pedal feeling, you can tighten down the thumb nut to compress the preload spring quite a bit. You can run it with just a few mm of travel if you like.

    • @benwatkins3794

      That’s good to know, I really can’t stand the 2 stage feeling, would that stop it or would I be better off just using elastomers?

    • @racesimengineering5827

      @@benwatkins3794 You could wind it in all the way so you don't get any preload spring travel but at that point you would get the same effect as just running elastomers. Do note though that if you go for only elastomers, you will need something to cover the standard spring seats as they won't sit flat against the elastomers - like that blue piece used in this video

    3DRap makes progressive elastomers and what I found works best for me and a lot of others have tried this and love it. I'm using a medium strength red compression spring 15mm ID, 30mm OD and 35mm Length. Combined with one stock 60A elastomer and two progressive elastomers from 3DRap I have about 4-5cm travel and it does get progressively stiff whereat about 85% braking it gets hard enough to not lock the brakes unintentionally, you need conscious effort. I love your reviews by the way, very descript and detailed with excellent camera work. Keep the awesome content coming!! Cheers✌😎

    Bought a set of these off the back of this thorough review. However, i hadn’t got around to fitting them and they've been sat on my desk for weeks.... but tonight my stock brake spring snapped so i had to change it!
    A very quick job to change (literally a few minutes) and checking the calibration i was able to feel that 100% point easily in my seat.
    Took a couple of laps to get used to it but it has improved my braking, and just feels so much better than before. Adds to the immersion in vr too. A huge upgrade, wish I'd fitted them sooner 😅

    Quick question. Do you think, that the combination of 75A and 85A elastomers would be still good for a simjack pedal or would it be too stiff? These are the two softest ones, that I can source locally.

    Nice review. How is it compared to the mod you did? I was wondering if it's worth since the mod you did seems pretty solid.

    • @SimRacingCorner

      Technically, no difference for improving braking accuracy. But this mod does give the brake a nicer feel over the skateboard bushings mod. So it's a good upgrade for that.

  • @Brunnen_Gee

    I wonder if those will work on the Cammus LC100's. The only thing I don't like about these pedals is the elastomer may as well be wood.

    • @SimRacingCorner

      I would say no, the LC100 is designed for the resistance to come entirely off the adjustable damper. And the spring below is just providing input to the load cell. And the position of the spring, being low, means a lot of leverage from the pedal into that spring. The LC100 load cell capacity is only 100kg. So putting a firmer elastomer will max it out with light pressure.

    • @Brunnen_Gee

      @@SimRacingCorner I hadn't thought of it that way. I have the pressure of the damper where I like it, but once I hit that elastomer it's like running into a wall. I'd like it to be softer. Maybe I'll have to play with it some more.

    • @SimRacingCorner

      The skateboard bushings were an effective, quick/cheap fix for the problem. This mod does give the pedal a nicer/premium feel, and of course, adjustable combinations. That's the difference.

    Hi SRC, what is the difference between the SimJack and Simsonn pedals you have? I have the Simsonn pedals with the red elastomers I don't know if they're stronger than the Sim Jacks? Would this mod be a great for the Simsonn Pro pedals as well. Or should I just go with the skateboard bushings..... easier to Source? Sorry for hassle whenever I Google something my research takes me back to you 😅

    • @SimRacingCorner

      The brake load cell is a different capacity (SimJack Pro 200kg), otherwise these pedals are sort of the same thing in other respects. I'm now in the process of getting the Simsonn pedals set up for the rig. So I haven't used them yet, and I don't like to speculate and advise if I'm making a guess. In a few days, I'll run out an early impressions video. I talk about the brake once I've had a chance to properly try it.

  • @VirtualRyders

    I stopped using elastomers because of the inconsistent behavior they have. Even with the hardest elastomers, it feels exactly like having air in your real life brake lines and looks that way in the calibration software. The springs I have were way more constant and i can regulate it better. I am only using 2 springs instead of 3 elastomers now.

    • @SimRacingCorner

      These are M10, the TLCM rod is M8. So a loose fit, also I would suggest they will be too firm for that brake pedal, as the load bearing angle leverage onto the pedal is very different.

  • @aeppikx

    the real problem on the original isnt the 60A from the eleastomeres , more that the spring is almost the same pressure so that all compress at the same time.
    i prefer a bit longer softer initial , so i went with a 2x35 spring and than 2 25mm 70A elastomeres from ebay + 20mm 3d printed spacer to reduce overall travel a bit. 2 stage with progressive end i got it perfect for me and i cost me less than 10€

      Too difficult to go to the website to see for yourself? The biggest issue with TH-camrs commenting on price is, years from now while the video is still up, the price could change and then you'll have people upset that the price isn't the same. They can't win.
