Cleo's task was almost as easy as Tango's "get scar to talk about star wars for 60 seconds" task from session one, love it

within 2 episodes, cleo went from having 1 of the hardest tasks (without pushing the hard button) to 1 of the easiest tasks to get. kind of ironic how fate works
yeah that task is insanely easy. step 1. find scar (this is the hard pard, i swear Scar is part ninja) step 2. mention star wars. step 3. sit back, have a cuppa. say "uh huh," "oh, really?," and "wow" occasionally.
I think it was supposed to be different bases not just one.
Also author didn't thought about lectern. He was clearly thought about chests...
It's great how couples can reconnect after the kids leave the nest.

@@KensoyJo It's easy if you're clever about it like he was. If you just rush around with no plan, it might be sus and they might know it's fake. But if you play it smart like he did and act like it around everyone, then yeah, it makes it far easier.
I don't think it was a super easy task, but definitely not a hard one. And with some minorly creative thinking, it became a cakewalk lol

Task idea: Place a button near Grian. If he doesn't press it after 1 minute, you succeed. If he presses it, or leaves before the minute is over, try again later.

I love that this series has made Etho come out of his shell. While he isn't afraid of joining in on things, he always feel a bit reserved. But the tasks he has done, like the jumpscare one and this episode one has made him a lot more active in things.
You haven't watched Team Canada's adventures or his let's play series. He's not about faking it for likes. He's just Etho.

I genuinely love Etho and Cleo as an alliance so much.
Its proof that the lifers and hermits need to try and mix up the colabs more.
Grian and Mumbo, Tango and Impulse, ect are classic combos. But every so often we get a rare Cleo and Etho that has a certain magic to it.
And now Grian has joined Cletho and i don't know if the server can handle that specific combination of chaos and talents.

Cleo’s laughter is so genuine in this episode. It makes me smile to hear such a heartfelt giggle
Cleo's giggle makes me smile but Cleo's cackle is the best thing ever.
You can just tell when Cleo laughs that she's enjoying herself. Like you can just... *feel* the joy in her laugh. I think it's partially due to just how straightforward (And slightly unhinged) she is. Always makes me smile
Cleo's laugh is so infectious as well.
I always say I live for it which may be an exaggeration but it does make one feel like living for sure. xD
BDubs has a big heart, but there are three things he adores unconditionally above all else: horses, shweeping, and Etho.

How much people is "enough people"? Maybe it's best to specify.
Maybe just Amnesia as a task. I think it will be hard enough keeping the yellows from guessing without bringing in the greens.

What always impresses me about Cleo is how well they mesh with literally every person they interact with. Cleo can be talking to two completely different people - even people with whom there isn't (to my knowledge) an extensive history - and yet it's like with each person they've been besties for years. Super admirable and makes the content so fun to watch!
i love how cleo and etho keep just one-upping each other on the niceness front, its hilarious. also such a wild switch from last season xD went from 'no, YOU'RE the worst' to 'NO, /YOU'RE/ THE BEST'
this season feels like it should be chronologically before limited life with the cleo, etho and bdubs dynamic. limited life is the fallout and cleo has the kids
As a welsh person, Grian saying Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (etc) was hilarious to watch. The struggle is real.

Task Suggestion: Afk Session! Convince 3 different players to protect and intertain your audience while you are "afk" for 2 minutes. If they hand you over to another player or just leave you, that person doesn't count

You must make a minigame. While someone plays it, you must commentate on them like a sports commentator. If you get called out, you must try again with a different person.

I think cleo's task was very easy ofc, but do think there was some risk to it. bdus, tango and skizz simply didn't think to run to a yellow as quickly as they could and point them in her general direction

Task Idea: On three occasions while talking to other players, you must do a piece to camera advertising a Minecraft item or block but disguise it as if you are talking to the player(s) and not your audience. You must be in third person facing the camera when you do it.
Like how they did ads in "The Truman Show"

I am SCREAMING. The one time when Scar had to do the opposite of what people told him is when Grian asked to be friends!!! Tagedy! I shall never recover. The pattern could've continued. DAMMIT. Hopefully they'll resolve it next ep but now that Grian's teamed up with Cleo and Etho...
But oh well. This team up is bound to be fun either way. Looking forward to it.

I feel like the key to victory in Secret Life is full thorns armor :') I don't know if that's allowed, probably shouldn't be to be fair, but if you go full thorns you only ever take 1 single hit and they'll think twice before ever touching you again because they can't regen through it like normal PvP.
That'll just set folks to trapmaking and poison pots, I suspect.
It will mainly force people to resort to indirect damage from things like lava, potions, mobs, falling, tnt, ect.
Basically traps and inconvenient PvP from lava bombs and poison.
Although the evilest thing you can do is poison people. The most involved being to leave a cave spider in someone's base. (Either renamed or hide multiple spawners)
@@monatae9725 Well yes it would, though that is many times easier to dodge than a superior PvPer smacking you in the face. Although Grian outplayed me before I even typed this comment apparently because the reds don't do regular Life Series PvP it appears as I've learned later. The way red names work makes thorns potentially useless.

@@okebedoke Yes it definitely would, though with the system being them doing tasks that will hurt you rather than damage you directly, I think thorns might be a wasted enchant slot in this case :p When I heard that I was thinking more of fall damage, mob spawners, playertraps, I doubt many of the tasks will include "do the regular PvP we try to avoid with this system anyway".

Etho's task was definitely to bring back an old bit from a previous season in front of the people involved in the original bit. 😂
It wasn't, Etho's video is out but incase you didn't see it his task was to ask someone else what they think a good task is and that becomes your task.
He asked Martin who gave him the task of pretending a made up event happened on a previous edition of the Life series. Etho having 0 listening comprehension did this instead but Martin liked it and let him press the button anyway. (Martin's silence was bought so he wouldn't try to guess Etho's task, or rat him out to the other yellows.)
Task idea:become jimmys butler. You can let him in on the secret. He can NOT call you out or tel anyone else.
Task idea: Speak in rhythm. Speak in Rhyme. This is your task for the rest of time.
Secret task idea: Replace someones crop field with cakes, don't get caught.
That's devious, but I feel like that should be a hard task
What if it’s like, make X number if cakes, or cover your bases floor with cakes

P.S.: Task Idea: Go and Challenge Gem to a PVP match. If she refuses you gotta bait her into atleast hitting you. If she hits you you succeed. You have the whole session. May Gem have mercy on your soul.

I've been hoping for a Cleo and Grian teamup for so long and I cannot wait to see how this goes. Etho being included just feels like it'll be the silliest group and I am here for it
Task idea: turn in your task immediately without being seen. For the rest of the session, you must convince everyone that your task is practically impossible and garner genuine sympathy from at least three other people. If you fail, you must re-roll for a hard task next session
TASK: WAITING, convince everyone that you completed your task but you can't hit the button til the end and you can't get accused of not really having done your task.
Task idea: pretend to be a couple with another player. They must help you in this task and must read this book. This overwrites their task unless both of you fail. You fail if you, at any point, use their name instead of an endearment.
Task idea: While talking to someone, start walking away and get them to follow you for at least two minutes, without explicitly telling them to follow
A couple task ideas:
Find out someone else's (completed or failed) task, complete the same task
Convince 5 different people you have succeeded 5 different tasks
Task idea: you can only walk in a strait line for 10 minutes for where you chose. After the 10 minutes, you are free to go and hit the button
Cleo’s task: Pass go, do collect 10 hearts, go straight to the secret keeper
Considering the pig task was definitely a net negative on her hearts, she deserved this easy one.
I'm sure she's going to get more hard ones, and possibly even reroll some for some potentially impossible ones. (Grian has said so himself that some of the reroll tasks are basically impossible)
I would love to see a task where it's literally just "Get at least five people to mention memories of past seasons."
Task suggestion:
[NORMAL] You are the boogieman. Dance in a group conversation, and get at least 3 other people in that group to dance with you.
[HARD] Bring home an elytra.
[RED] Kill someone using a TNT minecart drop from the sky.
Task ideas:
-Dont use a shield for 50% of the session
-Be someone’s secret admirerer, if someone figures out it’s you, you fail
This base is basically just the Hilltop farm from Stardew Valley, I love it

Cleo, I love how you put text on the screen to show what you're thinking. Not too many people seem to do that in videos anymore, but it's always fun when they do.
Task Idea: Ask someone their favorite color. Then go and collect blocks of that color to give to them. Must be at least one 64 stack of blocks.

1. Steal a mob from someone’s base, and settle it in PearlescentMoon’s base upside-down, without being called out.
2. Pretend to be obsessed with the new 1.21 additions coming to Minecraft. Do this while having a conversation with another player for 10 minutes, without being called out.
3. Stay 10 blocks above land for 30 minutes.
4. Endure 30 minutes without wearing armor. If you loose hearts, reset the timer.
5. Convince 3 different people to doubt themselves, without being called out.
6. Find a creative way to play “patty cake” with mobs during conversations without being called out.
7. Convince someone to think you’re the Boogeyman, for 10 seconds, without being called out.
8. Be vegetarian the entire session.
9. Ignore whatever SolidarityGaming says, for the entire session without being called out.
10. Pretend to be shy for everyone conversation, without being called out.
11. Over exaggerate 1 laugh, for everyone conversation you have, without being called out.
12. Be competitive around LDShadowLady, without being called out.
13. Laugh after everything Etho says for the entire session, without being called out.
14. If you have a British accent, speak with an American accent for 5 minutes during conversations. If you have an American accent, speak with a British accent for 5 minutes during conversations. You must not be called out.
love how last season Cleo and Etho had like the troubled marriage dynamic with her being the resposible parent and etho being the absent father and now this time they have a healthy relationship and Grian may as well be the only child lol 😅

I'm going to go on a limb and say this - Jimmy/Solidarity has really pulled himself along. He's never been the first one to Yellow or Red this season, it's ALWAYS been Martin. The canary curse may be broken this season!
Task suggestions:
Get three people to call you annoying.
Kidnap pearls dog without getting caught.
Scam three different people out of a heart or items
Get three yellows to guess your task incorrectly.
Task: Noone above, you can't talk to anyone that's 1 block or higher than you or even sitting on a mob if youre not on a mob. Dont get called out
Task idea: start a rumor about another player saying “you didn’t hear it from me.” You succeed if someone else comes up to you sharing the same rumor not knowing you were the one who originated it.
I love the ceremonial burning of The Egg to symbolize Grian joining the team.

suggestion: follow the rules of improv. whenever someone asks you something, say "yes, and..." continue conversations going for as long as you can.
In my head canon, this is the prequel in the timeline to Limited Life where a nasty divorce between Etho and Cleo happened.
Or a sequel where they rekindle their marriage after the kids move out, except bdubs who keeps wanting to move back in
With the Cleo’s videos you always have the adult dialogue. I love that.
Task ideas (and engagement):
Toll tale: build a toll roads on the server. If someone successfully pays the toll in 30minute, the task has failed.
4D Silent Chess: Build a game board on the server and challenge a player to a game. You may not say the words: chess, king, queen, pawn, black, and white. You must convince someone that your task is chess-related, but if a yellow accuses you of avoiding chess-related words, the task has failed.
Secret task idea: Convince another player aside from the members to join the Heart foundation.

I think the danger in this task is in accidentally telling your task (which is still a fail) or getting called out by a Yellow before you can push the success button.
