QUESTION: Is this your grandmother's cabin? Did she take over your apartment in the city or did you give that up altogether?
I usually wait until the rose hips are DARK red and soft before harvesting, usually in January- early February, so much sweeter and way easier to process! Also my favorite way to use rose hips are by boiling them (fresh or dried) in a huge pot of water until thick and strong, no sweetener needed and incredibly medicinal. My next project is making rose hip and elderberry syrup, I just harvested so many elderberries! Good luck and thank you for all you do! I really appreciate the magic you share ✨
The creaking of the camera and the water shots are so relaxing. Seems like the visit to Virginia was exactly what your soul needed. You seem more settled and peaceful now . Love your videos ❤️
Don't complain about an unexciting blog! I swear, the past week has been awful for me (caring for my grandma who passed away, boyfriend was away on travel, looking after my pup alone) and your blog hit me in the comforty mundance spots I was craving. Thank you for this.
I'm glad you're back, safe and sound. You have a very different energy (more peaceful) in the cabin. Sounds like Hazel is also having a good time. I'm also glad you got to hang out in Colorado for a couple of days. I'm a native to the state and while I know there are many wonderful places in the States to visit, I will always live in Colorado. There is an inherent magic in the land here. I hope you get to come visit again!
When I was in my 20’s I lived in a small town in northern Wyoming .I learned to spin wool on a spinning wheel.I made strawberry jam and would natural dye sheep wool for spinning.I went on wonderful hikes with natural beauty all around me.I enjoyed the simplicity of the changing seasons.I even plucked a turkey for Thanksgiving.I am now a senior and those simple experiences stayed with me. I just got back from camping with my husband at the Pacific Ocean .I too can remember worrying about having enough wood for the winter. Living life is in the every day.Your channel is wonderful.
I'm taking my first self-care day in months and using a lot of it to catch up on your videos on this channel and your main one - your content calms me, inspires me, and brings myself and so many other people so much joy. Thank you so much for being you and for creating such lovely content
Okay... 1) Look into a firewood permit. Let's you harvest wood from dead standing trees. (Might have a different name from Arizona. ) 2) This winter is supposed to be a HARD one. Even for those us in the desert. You need to get more sand bags. 3) Ryobi makes a battery powered chain saw. 18 volt. Maybe offer to trim wood and clean up tree messes if you're *that* worried about firewood. 4) Find the firewood on the mainland ad bring it back. Stock it up, cover it up and keep on the higher ends of the property (but that last bit I'm betting you knew already). Also, when in the city, stop into the thrift stores and grab blankets, sweaters and a good pair of house boots. I'm not kidding when I say they are calling for a hard winter.
I won't lie; I watch your videos several times because my ADHD/Anxiety infused brain calms down. Few things do it so well. Your presence adds a peaceful quality to my days that I wouldn't so easily attain. Thank you, hugs!
She has the life we would like to have, but personally right now, I'm trying my hand at goat breeding and raising - definitely not as calming or peaceful!
It sounded like a very wonderful trip across the United States, and I'm happy you got to see Colorado and the red rocks. I moved to Colorado from Belgium almost 4 years ago, and the beauty of the mountains and the red rocks, still amazes me each day. I absolutely love fall here as the aspen trees get their beautiful golden colors and I hope you got to experience some of those views as well on your trip. Also, I love your vlogs, they are such a joy to watch and so relaxing. Thank you for sharing with us! 😊
I've just recently made rosehip jam actually. I don't usually take the seeds out but mesh them through a sieve (or use a food mill / what we call a "Flotte Lotte" here in Germany, if you're not like me and actually thought to buy one before standing in the kitchen for an hour meshing cooked rosehip through your smallest sieve 😅). I love how they just spell autumn to me! Good luck with your wood search and enjoy getting settled in again!
Glad you got back safely. I love your calm simple vlogs. Thank you for sharing. Some day you should visit Sedona, the red rocks are beautiful. Sedona is such a magical place. I think you'd love it, Hazel too! Blessed Be from Phoenix, AZ. 💖😎🌵
I make rosehip jam every year. Family tradition! You just have to boil them whole until soft. Mash them and press them out through cheese cloth/strainer and then cook those juices /pulp with sugar down to jelly consistency. Colorado has wild roses all over the mountains and the plains along the roadsides I collect those ones for my jam.
Love the Cabin. So mellow and I understand the wood issue. Nobody wants to be cold. Burrrr. I lived in Colorado for 15 years. It sang to me. I miss it. I'm learning much from you, thank you Annie!
I enjoy ur vlogs no matter how u film them. Loved seeing Hazel with u as well. From the comments, ur fans including me tune in fir different reasons. Keep being you. That's what we love😊❤️☮️
I need two cords of wood for this winter too, & yes..it’s unusually difficult to locate a source for that this year here in Midwest too. We have never found this difficulty here in our 31 years of living in and around Shawnee National Forest. (Lots of pvt. Property bubbles in National Forests in Midwest as they were created well after pioneers settling the area). We have abundance of trees here. Love your channel dear sister. Your Channel is a healing balm. 😘. Thank you for your consistent authentic sharing and your wonderful herbal insights and teachings. 💗
I love your Cabin and so glad you are there fir the winter! It’s beautiful and just speaks fall and witchy and peaceful! Looking forward to seeing more videos! Love to Hazel! I also love the drawings you share with us on Pateron! ❤️❤️🧙🏻♀️🥰
Thank God for closed captioning. I love listening to you talk! Your voice is so soft and sweet and quiet, but with that, I need help as my hearing is impaired. Actually, you just mentioned that your mic died and you had to get a new one and you are waiting on it. Well, the closed captioning did just the job for me, and when your new mic comes in I will be better able to understand you again. That said, don't change the way you talk, because it is so calming and relaxing, and I suffer from chronic complex migraines and so many videos I have to turn off a few minutes into. Your videos help me feel a little bit better when I have what feels like an ice pick through my brain. Also, your vlogs are not boring! They are anything but boring! By the way, you are a beautiful human being with an exquisite spirit. Remember that always, no matter where you are!
🤔At first the sound was distracting by the water, but then my mind said it was a boat tied up nearby so it was nice. …and now there’s a boat tied up in your cabin!😳😁 I love it! 😄 Don’t worry, your videos are always lovely and relaxing. 💕
I am so happy to hear you mentioned your girlfriend. I was worried something was wrong..I'm.glad I am wrong! Stay in the cabin! I LOVE that place! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Enjoy every moment, sweetheart.
I love your vlogs they keep me grounded to the love of what the world has to offer instead of the materialistic world we have there is something about you where it just sets the tone to have minimal and be satisfied with who you are peace love and light my friend
Hoping all has gone well and smoothly, that your procedure went well and that you now have some wood for the winter. It is, as always, a joy to see you and Miss Hazel, Annie. Always sending gratitude, love and all good thoughts to you and yours. 💕

Hi Annabel, this place is also really beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us, I found you recently and I'm learning a lot thanks to you, I also follow you on the other channels. I love your videos, always so rich in color, light, following the cycle of the seasons, it seems to be there with you! A big hug from Italy!
Colorado here. Boulder and the mountains for over 20 years. Now a homesteader on the eastern plains. If you came through on I-70 you came within about 5 miles of me. We even have an outdoor amphitheater called Red Rocks.
Glad to see your back at the cabin. I know you like it there. I have been living in W.V. but am going on a road trip to my other home in the white mountains, N.H. USA. I think you would like it there We are on the verge of Vermont. Looking forward to the rivers and trees and the turning of the leaves. Enjoy your time at the cabin and i hope you get your wood soon. Many Blessings Annie and Hazel 💘

For processing the rose hips, have you considered using a food mill? Very efficient when trying to make jams out of tough skinned or small seeded produce.
I'm excited for you, Annie! I hope you have a wonderful relaxing time with Hazel. I'm sure the wood and microphone will show up soon, and I can't wait to learn how to make that syrup!!! 😁💜
I can't think of a better place to be than by the water entering into the dark season. That cabin speaks cozy so well and I'm sure it's a family treasure. Hope you get your seasoned wood before the cold weather hits... Glad you're back at the cabin safely!!
Also, I hope you share your rose hip recipe, I really want to work with rose more for its' qualities. I have some rose petals I am drying and wish to turn into rose petal powder for latte's and moon milk. Any recipes with rose petal powder?
Hi, whenever I've made anything with rosehips I've always chopped them first then strained them after to remove the seeds and irritant hairs. It also means that you get every bit of goodness out of them, I absolutely love rosehip syrup 🙂
I've always wanted to visit Colorado, Aurora in particular. I was born there, then adopted out of Arizona. I've lived in AZ, so Aurora is at the top of my list to see where I came from :-)
Yay! Glad you’re back home in the cabin 💙 I simply love it. From what I could see in the video it’s beautiful and it makes want to redo my whole living area.
@Treetops' Tales 🎶 Dried. Just that. You can also buy the dried rosehip in a herbalist shop. I sometimes mixed the rosehip with rooibos, really great combination.
Glad to see you made it and are well. Such a beautiful place to live, a wonderful place to let your creativity flow. Life is never mundane , it's all in how we look at it. Wishing you well on your feeding tube fix. Take care.
I don't know if it's just me but I find you are more calm and at peace in your little cabin. It truly is a beautiful place to be, how can your heart not be lifted with sights like that waiting for you every day ❤ hope you manage to get some wood, nothing beats an evening spent in front of an open fire ❤ xxx
Loved listening to you as always! Hazel and my shepherd are so alike I just love it- Willa chews her bone when I am talking and Hazel did that reminding me of just how much I adore it- like she’s happy you are just doing your thing! ♥️ I hope you find the 2 cords of wood soon-maybe you already have! 😉 I look forward to your next vlog- thank you Annie ! 🙏🍁🐕🥀
You are such an amazing young woman. I enjoy learning from you! Love the ambiance of your channel, you inspire me to learn more about herbs. I enjoy watching how you are so mindful when you are handling everything. ❤️❤️
AM: it’s so crazy to see your cabin and the beach. I grew up on an island in the bottom part of the Puget Sound near Shelton WA. Reminds me of so much seeing you on the rocky beach.
I live in Colorado 🥰 Happy you enjoyed your time here! I would love to experience rustic coastal living as an adult. I lived coastal as a child, but always in the south in cities & on Pacific Islands. Then once as an adult briefly in Silverdale Washington, however it wasn't a time in my life that I was in tune with myself & nature. I live in a small city now, but I have a lot going for me here toward living a more spiritual existence. I live walking distance of a cemetery, i have beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains when I go for walks or wherever I am driving 🌄❤ I am a 20 minute drive to nature & an hour drive into the mountains. I am learning about nature's offerings in every season, even in the cold dead of winter. It is giving me love & appreciation for where I live. But I long to live near the water again. For peacefulness & work, knowledge, growth. Thank you for sharing your life & experiences with us 🙏🏼❤
Hi! I would like to live by the sea as well, though I'm not sure where exactly. Which Pacific Islands did you live in? I have a big attraction for the area but I have only visited, I don't know how everyday life would be there. Also love Mediterranean. 🏖😘
@@anastrawberry8047I have visited Oahu & Kauai, which of course are gorgeous. We lived in the Philippines & on the tiny island of Guam. Guam is great, but it is very small. nly 40 miles long & 1 to 8.5 miles across & population just under 169,000 people. The sland fever is real if you aren't used to it. It's an 8 hour flight south west from Hawaii if you are coming from the states & it is a US territory. Good luck with your search!
I am from Colorado! I am so glad you were able to enjoy our beautiful state. My girlfriend and I are natives to this state. However, we have always wanted to visit Washington and take in the beauty there. Maybe our paths will cross someday 🙂
I've also been feeling stuck for similar reasons. The part of California I am in just doesn't get chilly as early as it used to, so I'm feeling very much like it's still summer and not autumn. But your other video and pumpkin bread sounds like an excellent way to fix that, as well as putting up all my autumn decorations. Your videos are so centering, they remind me to slow down and pull my head out of the clouds from time to time.
Don't worry.. The Sound is great, not disturbing at all! The scenery is beautiful as always. The mood given is nice & calm. With, of course concerns to be delt with. But All looks well.. Till next time...👍👏👏👏🤗💕
I put on youtube to watch a calm video while embroidering. It was great to see you uploaded one… they always calm my troubled mind after a stressful day. And doing embroidery + watching your video is the best thing to do in the evening
Welcome back home here to Washington. So glad to see you back in the cabin, it’s so beautiful. I recently went up to Sequim and visited a long time friend there. I live here in Bonney Lake. Sending you lots of blessings.
Really needed this with my breakfast, wishing the best for you. Blessed be! I've lived im in colorado for about a year and its so beautiful. Being from Delaware its so different. For one going from flat marshland to huge mountains with no humidity, its so crazy lol. Red rocks is so pretty
I love that you show when things don't work as well. Like having to rethink how to use the rosehips you collected, and not being able to crush them 😊 :-) It helps a novice like me feel like I'm not alone when I'm learning. So thank you ❤️

The mundane calmness is the thing that makes me feel the most alive right now.
I feel like I’m living vicariously through your adventures!❤️
For processing the rose hips, have you considered using a food mill? Very efficient when trying to make jams out of tough skinned or small seeded produce.
I'm excited for you, Annie! I hope you have a wonderful relaxing time with Hazel. I'm sure the wood and microphone will show up soon, and I can't wait to learn how to make that syrup!!! 😁💜
The water 🏞️or the lake in your video looks so nice and calm. And the cabin looks so nice as well. I know I'm late to this video.
I love the cabin…so glad your back there 😊🇬🇧
I can't think of a better place to be than by the water entering into the dark season.
My favorite use for rosehip is as infusion. It's really packed with qualities and with an infusion you can absorb them straight away. 🥰
Take care.
It's a beautiful place, Annabel.
Just watching you stir the pot is so satisfying. Enjoy your time in that beautiful place. ✨💜✨
Thank you for your beautiful and calming videos!
I absolutely LOVE the cabin. I’ve missed it. Thank you for the beautiful video.
I love the cabin. 🥰 I hope it's mild this winter.
These "simple" videos are the best, imo.
@@anastrawberry8047 oh! And I would love to visit the Mediterranean as well! I haven't been anywhere in Europe!! 🥺
I love your videos I listen to them while i am cleaning and what not, its like motivational but calming. Lol
Contentment is greatly undervalued
Don't worry.. The Sound is great, not disturbing at all! The scenery is beautiful as always. The mood given is nice & calm. With, of course concerns to be delt with. But All looks well.. Till next time...👍👏👏👏🤗💕
What a great vlog. I enjoy seen you in your daily life. Wishing you much love, health and peace of mind for this season in your life.
I'm so so happy to see you and Hazel back at the cabin. 💚
I put on youtube to watch a calm video while embroidering. It was great to see you uploaded one… they always calm my troubled mind after a stressful day. And doing embroidery + watching your video is the best thing to do in the evening
Thank's 💚🧙♀️🌲🧝♀️🍀🌲👍
And s delightful, if damp, welcome back to Wa, dear one.
Hazel appears happy to be a cabin doggo again.
I'm glad you made it back safely! I love your videos they are So soothing.. Thsnk you!!
I love this place. Love your vlogs.
I thought the background noises were quite soothing along with your content as always! Thanks for some beautiful pictures of your re-homing
I love that you show when things don't work as well. Like having to rethink how to use the rosehips you collected, and not being able to crush them 😊 :-) It helps a novice like me feel like I'm not alone when I'm learning. So thank you ❤️
