I visited Hinulugang Taktak once, about 4 decades ago. I went home with a stray yellow kitten and named her Shirley. She was a sweet cat and we enjoyed each other for many years! Glad to see this fall being enjoyed by many these days.
Ive been to hinulugang taktak when i was a child ( that was like 40 years ago hehehe) and before it looked like a natural falls and river . But seeing it now that they have developed it into an eco park looks great! Also they put up fences on both sides of the river to keep the river clean, and if you like bathing, theres a pool! Lots of seating and places for families to enjoy the falls in an organized manner. Kudos to the antipolo government for doin this and having to do everything for free! Also with the spider web and canopy walk, and the rock climbing that should attract a lot more people and youngsters. And having uniformed people to assist you is really cool! Hinulugan taktak is very famous because they also have a folk song that features the falls.
i really love the video from hinulugang taktak... you see how diverse the beauty of philippines... there are so many tourist attractions in that country such reason the philippines is becoming the vlogger capital of the world.... very clean and tranquil... nice place very peaceful for meditation....
Goodness Mergim....you’re so dedicated ❤️ Don’t you ever sleep?! You’re having too much fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 i just hope and wish that Dept. of Tourism will recognized you.
Yes, I think Mergims initial vlog of why youtubers from Thailand are going to the Philippines sent an avalanche of TH-camrs goin to the Philippines. And Im glad that he took my recommendation of riding the pasig ferry to give it the much needed publicity it needs. Even famous vloggers makin it happen abd juicy vlog recognized that they didnt know about the ferry and were goin to try it someday. This is what makes mergim lovable. We should help him get to 100k before October ends. He's a walking endorser for Philippine tourism. Btw, the falls is not allowed for swimming because of dirty water. It was worse before. The Antipolo government did and is doing a good job of maintaining it. I didnt know about the falls until you vlogged about it. Try to go to Pililia windmills and Antipolo church. In Qc you overlooked the Parks and wildlife near the Quezon memorial. Lastly, theres the interesting La Mesa Eco park. Glad to have been part of your TH-cam journey in the Photo Mergim. You're doing well for us Pinoys. God bless you more
Whew! Mergim, this is much way better than the creepy mystery cave you've been on your other vlog. I was damn so scared for you entering the dungeon below and you loosing your flashlight's battery at the same time. Hahahahaha. This is more beautiful and bright. I like your vlogs like this. Feels a lot safe and cool watching. Hehehe 😂😂😋😉
Visit also Daranak Falls and Batlag Falls in Tanay Rizal. It is about an hour from antipolo. Tanay has a lot to offer that is why it is called The Home of Adventure and Nature Experience.
You're really different from the rest, you've explored a lot of places. I hope you and Mayo decides to spend more time in the Philippines soon cause I'm sure you'll discover so much more.
I enjoyed seeing this video. Thanks Mergim…… local government had developed this tourist spot for the locals & foreigners to see the natural beauty of the Phils
Are you ready to see Xmas trees ,xmaz decors ,lanterns & Xmas carola on Tuesday 😁 Visit Pampanga on December to see Big Lanterns ...as high as 20-30 ft
Hey mergim! Thanks for covering hinulugang taktak falls in Antipolo. I haven't been to that place for decades now. Surely there's been a lot of changes. Looks much better now!
@@kilometer6712 I agree! 5 years ago I was in Maui and the waterfall that I used to go to in the 1990's is also totally polluted that you feel so sticky when your in it!
We used to go there nearly every year when I was a kid with my family especially in the month of May like a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Antipolo ( church close by) after going to mass we go visit the falls, have lunch and buy some delicacies from the local market. Looks all different now but better. Thanks for the vlog, update Mergim, really enjoyed it 🥰👍🖐️tcare, stay safe🙏📿❤️
I just want to say thank you for making these videos. I’m from the United States and I plan on making a trip there for my vacation next year with a fellow coworker who is actually from there and it’s nice to see what it’s really like. Keep up the good work sir and take care. Cheers!
Good to see that place and all I can remember when was little is we were there just to see the water falls and we ate a lot of cashew and “Suman” more than 40 years ago as I can recall. It’s been developed to an eco park now which is nice. I just watched your video exploring that cave and then I found this. You’ve been going places out there and you’re doing a good job. I wonder how you’re able to discover places to go to next. You’re amazing! Take care❤️
Antipolo is known for its church, Our Lady of Antipolo, for its mango and "suman" delicacy (eaten together, each compliments the other) and roasted cashew nuts. In the past, picnic-kers were allowed bathing/swimmin in the river down the falls. I have no idea why a pool is given instead. I noticed that the water level of the river is shallow. Summertime is the season people throng to the area, March-May.
Those waterfalls were rehabilitated because there were lots of people who went there before. That place used to be popular. A folk song was even composed for it, titled, hinulugang taktak
im glad to to learn hinulugan taktak is alive and vibrant again, the local govt did a good job..... there was a time the water has almost dried up and it was filled with trash
Mergim if you want to experience fresh water / river / hiking you might want to visit Tanay. It’s just around 15 to 30 minutes from there. I live in Tanay
Nice, if you want to go farther, visit eastern Laguna via Rizal province. Waterfalls like Ambon-ambon falls in Pangil, Pagsanjan falls in Cavinti/Pagsanjan, Hulugan falls in Luisiana, Taytay falls in Majayjay.. Also you can visit various handicraft towns of Laguna like the wood carving capital of the Philippines which is Paete, embroidery capital of Ph that is Lumban, also Tsinelas capital of Laguna, which is Liliw..You can also visit Laguna’s old churches (Pakil, Paete, Liliw, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, etc).. If you decide to visit, either stay in Pagsanjan (Casa Marina) or Caliraya lake (numerous hotels and camping sites) it is because these two places are in the middle of all I’ve mentioned.. It’s all green, nature💪
Mergim, if you're in Manila this September 20 to 25, please come to the Negros Trade Fair at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City. All the best of Negros Island will be there. see you.
The last time I saw Hinulugang Taktak in a vlog was the water was soapy but many years before the water was murky and there were squatters on the top of the waterfall (talon in tagalog). From your vlog, the water is a lot better, cleaner and no more squatters on top of the waterfall. But the water is still not suitable for swimming as the water in the swimming pool is supplied by Manila Water.
There use to be a entrance fee. Making It Happen also did a video. What sucks back then was the fee local was different from the foreigners. 50 for locals, 100 for foreigners. It's a good thing they scrapped the entrance fee.
Mike of Making it happen Vlog certainly can afford to pay a Php100 or less than $2 entrance fee! Tourism spots & tourism activities are there for a purpose! It's not just for relaxation & recreation purposes but tourism is also a means to generate revenues or income for the government and it's local people! They also use these fees to fund the maintainance of the place. Otherwise, it will not be sustainable in the long run unless the local government is rich and have extra funds to spare for the maintenance of the place!
Yes Sir not only there is free. The govt giving us educational financial assistance for those schooling in public school. Since the start of pandemic, they r giving us financial assistance for free, the entire country. Salamat po
There is a very similar Eco-Park inside Quezon City. Please take a short trip to Balara Filter Plant and the University of the Philippines Diliman campus. I hope you can vlog a motorbike ride on all the side streets of the campus residential areas. Then you can ride on the widest road in the Philippines, Commonwealth Avenue (eight lanes going north and eight lanes going south) to the La Mesa Dam Eco-Park that supplies drinking water to the entirety of Metro Manila.
I was there in 2020 March, at that time they were charging an entrance fee. That was my second time to visit the falls together with my son. My first visit was when I was about 4 yrs old ( that was a time interval of 54 yrs!). Not sure if the creek you saw at Burrow Cafe is connected to this falls. Am so happy you were able to visit this simple place that I remember since my childhood.
There's similar to that falls in Quezon or even much wide and bigger falls in Villa Escudero where you can dine literally in the falls and your feet are submerge in water. ☺️
Wow its look different now. Last time I was there in 1997 during our high school bivouac. We can swim at the falls and all those attractions are not yet there. And I remember we had entrance fee of I think 10 pesos those days. (Without the attraction😆)
what I like about your vlog, you are covering something that other vlogger that never vlog before. alot of vlogger now are vlogging the same stuff that other vlogger did already.

song line "maligo tayo" is gone. Because of the contaminated water🤮
Tayo na sa Antipolo

Holy week is the busiest time there...
Rizal is like Cebu, there's a lot of hidden gems in the province that you can visit. Just do some research and it's worth the trip.
Rizal and antipolo really are similar to the mountains of cebu, I think that’s why I’m so drawn to the area :)
Agree..

Hinulugang Taktak used to be very popular many years ago. The emergence of big malls maybe one reason for its decline in attendance.
Omg! I thought you almost fell on the stairs lol, be careful though if your are petrified of spiders
