Great watch... I'm often around that area as I live about 30 minutes drive away, probably was a bit windy on that particular day as you can usually get close to them. More than happy to put you in the area to go and not such a long walk either.
Hi Simon love your stuff so l subscribed, a great place to see Dartford warblers is the New forest if your down that way, what part of the U.K. do you live?
Hi Neil, thanks for subscribing and the tip on the Dartford Warbler. I'm up in Northamptonshire. I usually venture north to Scotland but I would like to visit the New Forest sometime. Thanks for leaving me a message and glad you enjoyed the videos. 👍 All the best..
Hi Simon, I feel your pain! The 600L MkI is a heavy lump to carry around, for sure. I also managed to see my first Dartford this summer in Dorset, such a lovely bird.
Thanks Steve. This is actually the 600 mm mark II so a little lighter but gets you in the end. I think it was the tripod that added a long with the gimbal attached.
Simon Wantling I had the chance to try the Mk III recently. That is incredibly light in comparison, but then so would my bank balance be if I bought one! 😱
I did purchased this bag, even though it is a nice bag, I had to return it because very uncomfortable to carry and got the Shimoda instead which is way more versatile and comfortable and can carry your camera set-up!
Happy to see a new vlog posted. I try to travel as light as I can when I go out and about so a lot of my videos lack stabilisation since I leave the tripod/monopod in the car.
Excellent video. I can totally relate to your body pain, even with the 'light' 500mm f/4 L ii I'm getting a dodgy shoulder from all the lifting. I use a Thinktank Glass Limo bag for my super-tele, it's very good indeed. Subbed.
Love the photos, like how you leave space around the bird makes for an all over pleasing image rather then a record shot. I couldn't carry that weight around think you need a fishing trolley :)
Amazing video
Thanks very much.
Great video. Many thanks for sharing.

wondered where you had been good to see you back cracking channel
Thanks Andrew. Thanks for the support. Will be uploading another one in a couple of days.
I often go to Thursley for the Dartfords. Would recommend. Can get quite close.
Thanks for the tip. I'll check that out if I go back that way.
The heather looks amazing, good to see you back in action - great shots too, as always.
Thanks Edwin.

Hi Simon, Just found your channel - great content. Please can you add your camera settings to your photographs to help those of us starting out.
Thank you Brian. Yes no problem at all. I will do that in my next video. Thanks

Thanks very much. Yes it is quite a weight. 🙂
It is lovely. Is a heath in UK like our salt marsh here in NH?
Thanks Lauren. Heathland are dry sandy places where salt marshes much like they are in the UK are wetlands.
Nice video Simon never seen a dartford warbler myself but i will make a point some time , keep up the good work :)
Thank you.
