  • In this weeks video we continue progress on the frame reinforcement for the 60. We make custom wishbone brackets on the frame for the “Pitbull Hydraulics” custom made wishbone. We utilized some Hoppo’s frame brackets to accommodate the wishbone. The wishbone replaces the factory upper trailing arm and eliminates the panhard bar. This in turn eliminates the side to side movement of the car when lifting up or down. Combined with the narrowed ford 9 inch, it is a great combination to accommodate a 59-64 impala when running skirts. We also moved up to the cross member and continued the process on the front of the frame. Stayed tuned for more updates!

    Bobby g's face at 10:20 like when you have the kids out all day running errands and they're pissed off until you ask them if they're hungry and want McDonald's!! Hilarious!

      Yep. My editor in chief (wife) has discovered the loop/replay feature. More of that to come. 😁

      It's not bad but it's definitely warming up. When we did the floors back in November and December the heat from grinder and welder kept us warm lol

      Love them 58s. The rest not so much. These guys should have ran two 2×4s down the middle so you could cut out the bottom of the frame and run a 1piece drive shaft. I did my frend ed. M. 58 that way. And that bracket that the 2 bolts for the lower control arm need braces.

    I have a schwinn bicycle frame that needs reinforcement cause I'm fat. How much?

    You can always count on running out of gas....................
    Great job on making the metal conform to all the curves on the frame.
    You should sell your adaptor for the Porta Power, and next time get a powered pump :-)
    How about a Bronze bushing for the rear Wishbone ????
    You said 84 at your place and we got Snow this morning......and more during the week.

      Ran out of c25 yesterday. I got 3 bottles to go refill this week. Moving along. We flipped the frame over yesterday. The videos posted are about 2 weeks behind of progress !

      @@lonestarlows You always give the dates at the beginning so I know what's going on.
      Now do you fully weld the plates to the frame ????
      I cannot imagine how long it took to figure out all those plates..........with all the bends to make it the right size.
      You could never afford to pay someone to bend and weld all that.
      Good think Bobby works cheap, I hope :-)

    • @lonestarlows
      @lonestarlows  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes everything will get fully welded and grind down and molded. Probably 3 or 4 rolls of wire, and 400 dollars worth of flap discs.....I'm going to do it in my backyard because it's going to make a huge mess

    • @edgrabski1390
      @edgrabski1390 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lonestarlows I figured you would weld the whole frame.
      My Buddy RIP did his 34 Lobeck frame with the Flap Disc, no one went over to see him for a whole month but it looked great.

      Yep. Lucky for me, the young man graduates high-school in about a month, and he is extremely eager to learn, with a bunch of time on his hands 😁😁

    It might be rusty in the area when the torch cuts like that. It starts to look like shit and very difficult to cut

    So you box the frame like this, but what about the bare metal underneath? Is it fine being uncoated? Don’t want to sounds sarcastic, I’m just curious

    Did you say you’re using 1/8 metal to reinforce? I’m looking to reinforce a 68 frame
