If you can get the 25k by 1 second, you can get the 50k by 1 second. It's so unlikely that it would come down to that much time difference. Yeah they get an extra chaser, but the gained knowledge is also the gained opportunity of a mistake or delay if they buzz but don't know the answer and fumble for a bit.
