I'm having a blast with GT7 while successfully tuning my car collection thanks to your videos. Now I love every single one of my virtual Corvettes and they all (mostly) drive like I expect them to! Bravo, well done! 👏
Keep up the good work. Though you don't set your cars up the way I prefer (lower DF, higher camber, low stabilizer bars, sport tires, etc) I still find your information to be quite versatile and has helped me tidy up a few monsters in my own garage. One question: Do you like tuning and racing cars to handle lower PP races like The clubman plus 550 PP at Tsukuba? I got my first victory there the other day finally in a Toyota AE86 Shigeno version after repeating the race and adjusting the settings each time until the car got it done. Very satisfying.
Most of my content is aimed at driving cars at full tilt on racing soft tyres, but I do sometimes tune cars for sports tyres and lower PP levels, but typically my favourite is around 700PP.
Hi, love the series, super helpful for someone like me who has no clue how to tune a car. I do have a question tho: I'm trying to tune a Ferrari f12 berlinetta for menu 39, which is the 800pp GT Series. I have not yet adjusted my tune after watching the video but I was wondering should I be using the same approach as you did for the high powered muscle car in the video or the general Style, like with the silvia? Or does a supercar like a ferrari need some particular tweaks or maybe an entirely different approach?
The F12 is pretty decent to drive. If it's fully upgraded maybe try the silvia set up. If it's too difficult to drive you may find things like adding front toe out, rear toe in, increasing initial torque and reducing front downforce will help the most. You'll only need ballast if the car spins its wheels all the time but the F12 doesn't have all the muscle car torque, so should be okay.
@fossilfueled27 Thank you for the swift reply! I will definitely try those things. Main thing I've noticed is how easily it spins out when accelerating out of a corner.
Also I been enjoying your content for a while and I don’t even have the game lol. Think you might have something good here going man, but i notice the tuning guide series can only go so far. Might i suggest content that’s more evergreen. The engine swapped series is good but there are only so many cars in the game too
I'm currently using the Lexus RC F GT500 '16, with customisable racing transmission, I could use some help with the gears as when used in automatic switching from 3rd to 4th the car seems to bog down
Great video. How would you mitigate not having high rear downforce on a classic muscle like the C2 and C3 ? I do not really feel like putting those wings, but as you can imagine, it really gets feisty mid corner.
If you're using slick tyres, it needs rear downforce. The only other way that helps a bit is adding front toe out, roughly 0.60. It'll make the car not want to turn as much.
Using the settings for the C3 on the G.T.350 '65 and i just have a bit too much power oversteer.. any fix for that? Top notch guide by the way, steered me off from paid tunes at least
People pay for tunes on GT7? I never knew! For the Shelby, things that reduce power oversteer include: -Less front downforce -Increase front body height vs rear -Reducing rear natural frequency vs front -Making rear camber slightly higher than the front -Adding rear toe in -Increasing initial torque -Decreasing acceleration sensitivity -Adding ballast to the rear will decrease the likelihood of wheelspin, but too much and you'll get lift off oversteer like a porsche. Hope this helps
I use a controller to play gt7. When I make small changes to the suspension I don't really see or feel the difference while driving on the track. I enjoy racing 550pp road cars with ss tires at tsukuba circuit. For controller users do I need to make more drastic changes to suspension to feel or notice the changes?
I'm also a controller user. Racing tyres highlight the differences more, but in general, yes, bigger adjustments will be more noticeable. You'll generally find that body height, damping and camber won't yield very noticeable changes. Natural frequency and toe angle make the most obvious changes to handling, along with the LSD. Half the battle is knowing where to look for the changes once you've made them.
ok time for another setup helper. about to start an season of 80s road cars. using RS tires and PP limit is 700. I plan on using the C4 Vette. what settings would you recommend? thanks!
@@B-kn8yb If you find it wheelspins too much you can add some rear ballast. Other ways to make it more tame are: Decrease front downforce Add rear wing to max rear downforce Add rear toe in Add front toe out Increase initial torque.
@ thanks. It’s odd, I’m finding it oversteers into the corner and I really have to watch it coming out of the corner. It just wants to turn all the time. I’m going to try your lower natural frequency at the rear compared to the front. It’s on sports soft.
@@B-kn8yb How much power is it running? Things that can help with oversteer on corner entry are; Anti roll bars higher at the rear Natural frequency higher at the rear Camber lower at the rear Less front downforce.
Love builds where the pp is capped. Maxxed out cars are for 12 year olds and normies. Performance capped cars need sophistication and creative expression to tune
I lean both ways, depending on my needs. That being said, if there exists a rear diffuser option alongside the usual front splitter and rear wing, you bet your ass I’m throwing it on and cranking downforce to the max (only adjusting if handling can’t be affected by any other change). Same story if there’s a wingless option alongside the rear diffuser, except with leaving downforce low to keep drag low and top speed (or in some circumstances, fuel efficiency) high.

There will be an understandable and concise encyclopedia for tuning, I expect! Fantastic for everyone!
I wanted to see more of the Corvete in the thumbnail. The livery is incredible! I'll look for it.
I love how you’re evolving this series. Great job.
Another great video thanks. I’ve bookmarked your playlists for easy reference when I’m tuning my cars 👍🏻.

Whow, again great work. Thank you very much for your contents. 👍👍👍
Love the vids man🙏. Would be interesting if you cover FF cars and their setups because I wanna hear your perspective on this. Keep up the good work 👍

Great stuff...
Always learning
Good video like usual, I have just one thing to say : have anyone achieve to tame the bmw 3.0 csl ? Swap or not I don't have tamed this car yet.
I've tried, my only real tip is to run it below 650pp
You've inspired me to try later, after work.
Perfekt Top
Can you please tame the Honda beat from 91? The keycar
Isn't the higher the braking sensitivity, the more intense the braking effect (slowing down faster)? I always set it to max at the rear.

How do you manage break controller?
I usually leave it in the centre, it never makes much difference.

Pretty much the same settings as the 700PP Silvia in this video. Maybe with more front downforce and less power so it's got less understeer.
Do a setup on the 88 supra
The '88 Supra works with more or less the same settings as the Silvia in the video.
