Another vote for "Hook of the Week". Tehy're both useful projects and perfect beginner items. Lots of different techniques used, but on a simple object so us beginners can concentrate on the basics.

I like the idea that every Sunday is a little project from scrap stuff. Everybody accumulates scrap and most don't know what to do with it

You have not made a bad or boring video yet.
So I will veiw anything you put out, but I am really glad you are still doing the hook of the week!
I like this adjustable trammel, it is big enough for any campfire & small enough for backpacking & a single night in the wilderness.
Used with a single rod & two large rock & the soup on or coffee/hot chocolate .

I like the more advanced hook options for hook of the week, keeps it interesting for everyone.. hope the hooks continue, because we all have too much scrap metal and it’s a lot more valuable when it’s something useful, and not just stuff in a bucket.. cheers

    • @BlackBearForge

I will certainly keep doing hooks. But I have to admit the more advanced hooks really add to the production and editing time

But I just do not have the room, money or experience to know how to set it up.. At least I can come here and enjoy watching you.. you teach very well, at least I enjoy following you as you explain things.. Thank you John.. I can tell your a good man and I appreciate all of your hard work.. (it must be all of the great country air) Wishin' I was back in the mountains.. take care, carry on and be safe!

I like the hook of the week. Truth is that I can be a little unimaginative in my projects so seeing all the different designs helps with that for me. You might be thinking I'm a little bit of a Yahoo with some of my past comments but I really do want to thank you for your content on you tube. I probably wouldn't be able to get this kind of learning experience otherwise.

Funny, you began the video saying that some people thought these hook of the weeks were beginner type projects . To those peope I say try this tramel hook. Definately not a beginner project but very much so an interesting challenge. Once again well done John. This one looks like a neat project to try.

Huraw for the Hook of the Weel series, Keep it up John! I'm looking for ideas for building a very Large, heavy, functional Adjustable Trammer Hook setup in my Tire Hating Furnace I'm planning on building to Arrest Sparks and Contain Heat. for Tires from 18 " inch up to 50 something Wagon Wheel Tires. A Trammel may fit the Bill.
Once I accomplish this, I may build one at the Pioner Town in Cedaredge.

Hook of the week, hook of the week YYAAAAAA! Haha. I know you've done many Frederic crosses. But maybe it would be a good base for a hook rack. Maybe big enough for tackle like bits and leed rope and such in a loafing shed/barn or if its smaller a key chain umbrella and hat and coat. For more of a dont leave home without hanger

I made my first hook today! I’m going to clip it over the top of my apron that I use for work and it’ll dip below my name tag and act as a spot to put a scraping tool that I don’t want in my pocket.
Thank you for the motivation with your Hook of the Week series, I appreciate it(:
