I also hope you'll be able to get a review unit of some of the BBK owned phone brands as well as Xiaomi in the future but nonetheless i look forward to your future content. Keep up the great work 👍

10:07 - Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra actually produces much better picture quality in 50MP mode instead of 200MP. It's especially obvious in harsh lighting conditions where it needs better HDR processing.
so are you seriously saying that, as a professional photographer, you can achieve MASSIVE potential with the s24U? How many photos did you open on a larger screen? How many times did you zoom in? You really didn't see the MASSIVE amount of noise that these lens produce?
I have but one question about this camera...do I have any control over the aperture? Because I see the F number on the side, but I don't seem to be able to change it.
To me it seems like the photos come out like.. overexposed? And the colors not really matching what I see if I use the HDR - any suggestions? E: Ok, so after more testing it looks like the images are taken OK, but then the 4 dots turn on the image in the gallery, and blow the contrast to the moon... but the Auto HDR and scene optimization was off? So what's at fault here, what's doing the processing?

ProRaw is really good in low light, it’s literally making night into day when the moon is out. The sky is blue and all the other things have the right colour and brightness(when your iso or exposure is right). Sadly many reviewers and People don’t know this and Samsung also doesn’t seem to be to interested in the incredible performance.
This is really helpful, thank you! Do you also have a video about the S24U video setting? Wondering how to maximize the pro video for a concert setting. 🙏
Pro setting is only for professionals with addional gear like tripod, ND-filter, mikes, etc. For shooting from the audience, handheld, you will have the best results in standard video. Best shutterspeed/ISO combinations, fast switching between focal lengths and good stabilisation. Of course you can use Pro Mode and set it at auto-shutterspeed and auto-ISO, but that has no advantages over the standard Video mode. In strongly varying lighting conditions the Promode wil give you under-exposed (with fixed low ISO) or over-exposed (with fixed low shutterspeed) video. Lens/sensor quality is not better in Promode.
Hi Tom! And thank you so much for your videos!! I got a question about the S24 ultra battery > I went for on outdoor photo session, and it sucked 100% out of the battery in 5 hours! (no wifi, no bluetooth, no extra app but phone & gallery) Did you have similar experience?

I don't know if you or anyone else can answer this, but... I've got an S24+ and I've taken three identical shots of different things in 12mp and 50mp. All in HEIC. Does auto hdr in camera assistant work with 50mp mode or only the 12mp mode? Does it also work in selfie mode? Can anyone please let me know. I feel auto hdr does not do a great job anyways
I bought s24 ultra and first time in my life i am disappointed about photos quality. I have never had such a poor quality night photos. Even note 10 plus did better. If i do photo with normal mode its dark as hell , night mode it blurry very light and its impossible to do without tripod... never had such a problem with any samsung phone
I've been holding off because I get such mixed results in low light atm. Samsung is due to release an update but the more it goes on the worse it becomes in terms of it's now been a good few weeks since the release
Unfortunately does the name Professional not mean that professional settings are better. It indicates that the user is a professional and uses ND filters, a tripod, microphone, etc. Professional Mode: with not too much light you can set the speed fixed at double-frame rate and ISO can be set in auto mode. Problem: with too much sun there will be overexposure. Other way: Set the ISO as low as possible (25 ISO) and speed automatic. Problem: with little light there will be underexposure. Standard Video setting solves these problems, although you can in Promode also set ISO en shutterspeed to automatic. Anyone can do a simple test. Promode: Make a video while slowly moving the phone from within a not too bright room to a window facing outside sunlight (1 minute). Speed and ISO at auto. Standard Videomode: Make the same footage (1 minute) Compare the two and you will see a difference. My personal experience: the standard Videomode is better, especially while Promode had more overexposure of the bright areas.
I've had issues with camera done everything with settings on my S24 Ultra, I loved the phone itself, but I'm taking it back tomorrow, I've set up my Pixel 8 Pro again, camera much better on that, it's a lot of money to feel feel dissatisfied, shame, maybe the update will improve things at some point.
The post processing of the 50 and 200 mp are destroyng the phots even with all the settings (optmization) OFF. That is a BIG let down.

Question, that softening option in Assistant, is it applying post-shot or actually tweaking the main programming?

I don't get the Camera Assistant app in my Galaxy Store, guess it's only available in some regions. Indont get Good Lock either unfortunately.
Does auto hdr in camera assistant work with 50mp mode or only the 12mp mode? Does it also work in selfie mode? Can anyone please let me know. I feel auto hdr does not do a great job anyways
Which app do I need to download for Camera Assistant?
How to stop post processing of photos?
Turn off the scene optimizer
I bought s24 ultra and first time in my life i am disappointed about photos quality. I have never had such a poor quality night photos. Even note 10 plus did better. If i do photo with normal mode its dark as hell , night mode it blurry very light and its impossible to do without tripod... never had such a problem with any samsung phone
I've been holding off because I get such mixed results in low light atm. Samsung is due to release an update but the more it goes on the worse it becomes in terms of it's now been a good few weeks since the release
How to get "camera assistant" option in the dettings?

Standard Videomode: Make the same footage (1 minute)
Compare the two and you will see a difference.
Great decision I also returned mine S24U
Thanks for this excellent video is it possible you could do one for the Google Pixel 6 pro?
Cheers 👍
