Their not restrictive because they excersice a ton. They would not have the energy to be athletes and wouldn't build muscle if they did not eat as much as they do especially since they are eating mostly whole food vegan which generally is lower calorie.

Plain peanuts and chocolate chips sounds so yummy…I should start doing that in place of trail mix cuz lord knows I hate all those raisins and cranberries…Right now I feel like I eat more like the body builder but I would love to eat more like the ballerina. I know eating more Whole Foods will make my body feel much better
I love these realistic and healthy what I eat in a day videos as opposed to other channels which promote really extreme diets. Also the ballerina’s recipes looked soooo good!
I appreciate the different range of complexity of cooking between the vegans featured here. I'm sure everyone wants to be a Nina but sometimes it's ok to be Alex/Allison lol.
The runner and bodybuilder are the quick and lazy meals with no seasoning. I much prefer the ballerinas. Presentation, flavor and unique. Whatever works for you as long as your enjoying your meals 😁👍🏽
honestly I’m also vegan and all of them are more patient with cooking than me. I’m one of those “hunger is so inconvenient omg” people so I was really impressed with all of them!
Please make a video of what different ethnicities who are vegan eat in a day. What a vegan Indian eats in a day, what a vegan Filipino eats in a day, what a vegan German eats in a day, what a vegan Japanese eats in a day, etc. Basically like this video but of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I enjoyed all 3. The perspectives were interesting and I appreciated Alex's honesty about struggling with gaining muscle and mass at a point. The ladies were really good with their whole food diets. Good work, folks❤❤❤
I eat a lot like all three of them. I must say the peanuts and chocolate combination is the best. Keeps me full for the rest of the day, gives me a lot of energy and I don't need coffee.
There was this fun point in vegan TH-cam where there were a lot of vegan athletes sharing. Their channels are all probably still here but this gave me 2015 nostalgia
that’s how i used to be!! the only way it’s filling is if it has enough protein and fats: i started adding peanut butter to it, and i cook it with ripple milk (plant based milk with 8g protein) and it’s a game changer!

but it's not necessary, so her saying this wasn't useful. Only for those who may suffer from deficiencies which isn't inclusive to the vegan community. I don't think this comment was helpful, it just showcased another non-existence deficiency supposedly vegans suffer from.
@@chinajennaalys14 I don't think anyone was implying that. a lot of people struggle to get enough iron if they're not constantly eating red meat or dark leafy greens. Lol… Sure.. which is exactly why you see large vegan representation in Olympia competitions as well as World’s Strongest Man.. If the dude featured on this wasn’t on testosterone supplements, he would look like he was dying..
Yes it doesn't seems much but i believe he said he was trying to maintain not to gain plus it depends on the ratio between his calories intake and his height and weight.
It's important to b in a calorie deficit as a body builder coz of the steroids. Otherwise u can balloon very fast. My friend is a body builder and he would go days without eating or going on a calorie deficit diet until he finishes the competition.
Been vegan for 7 years and I eat this type of stuff all the time. Especially the ballerina’s food. I love making the same chickpea salad! I add cumin and a few more spices to mine. Interested in how much protein supplementation the body builder does.
Most of these meals look pretty good in taste and nutrition. Would be good if they added in any supplements since most athletes need to take a few of them for optimal performance and B12 supplementation is an essential for most plant based eaters but maybe it was in the protein powder or milk.
Yeah a lot of foods are now fortified with different vitamins. Which is really great for non meat eaters so it’s totally possible that some of the protein bars or powders are fortified
meat eating humans are usually more b12 deficient than vegans that take supplements. And they wouldnt even have a microgram of b12 if it wasn't being given as a supplement to the animals they eat.
Such a common misconception. Vegan athletes are just like you minus the added fat and grease from meat. B12 is in broccoli, kale and in the protein powders they all consumed.
@@annies6566 with any person, active people in particular, many nutrients are depleted in soil and therefore in animals to and some supplements are needed for optimal health and performance across the board. While there are b12 fortified foods that could be healthy, I personally wouldn't rely on broccoli or kale since washing these is essential to remove pesticides and E.coli risk. The minimum recommended blood b12 may be above 300pg/ml in Australia and America but we really should be above 600pg/ml optimally which most of us don't get from food or water alone anymore. I've been vegan for 4 years by the way.
the runner eating a salad with no carbs for lunch and toast with PB for breakfast (after a gruelling run, I imagine) and then a pack of peanuts and chocolate chips before bed because she's hungry doesn't make sense. It probably upsets her sleep cycle as well. She should eat way more calories in the morning and during the day and limit calories before bed. When she said "by the time it's time for dinner she is pretty hungry", it seemed so weird to me - it's not that the later in the day the hungrier you are or at least it should not be that way!
I‘m a dietitian and I work with a lot of vegan athletes. The main problem I see in this population is not getting enough protein. If you are going to be vegan you will have to prioritize this bc it’s so easy to be under your protein needs.
I work as a carpenter and have been vegan ever since...I am actually surprised how little they eat compared to their activity level...or my metabolism is just high af.
Thank you guys for featuring people who don't dramatically restrict their intake. These are healthy, balanced meals
Restricting calorie intake isn’t unhealthy or unbalance either. It depends on what you’re trying to achieve. These guys probably aren’t losing weight
