I first learned about this stone last summer when we visited the DR. The history of larimar is so interesting. You can actually find tiny chips on the beaches! And it’s only found in the DR. I bought a set.

How absolutely beautiful!!! I wish for this family’s continued success. I have loved natural stones since I was little and hope one day I might have a little stone of Larimer

Satin crystals have some lovely jewelry pieces with Larimar. Their service is outstanding; their sales are great; prices are good; quality stones and creative cuts and settings.

Larimar is an amazing gemstone with unique properties! Collecting Larimar brings me a lot of joy! Some deep blue are so rare that their prices are through the roof now. The best wearable stone / looker / love on first sight in the world in my humble opinion.

Wikipedia has very little information on the mineral's properties beyond jewelry. For example, other minerals can produce vibrations or heat when voltage is applied.

So different from one piece to another. Unlike other gemstones that are considered beautiful and valuable, largely from each unit's consistency. And the extraction is clearly dangerous -- do those miners receive proper compensation? When looked upon as an industry, who benefits most from it?
