Most MCU trailers are solid but sometimes they can feel same-y. This one really stands out. The visuals, the colors, the vibrancy, the raw emotion- you can tell a true artist made this film.

@@VonJay For real though, you see reaction trailers throughout and that snippet of her impassioned speech wrecks everyone. Appreciate the true expression of emotion from the hosts
The song choice as well. Telling the audience, the viewers, "It'll be alright". We can feel the absence throughout the entire trailer, and the song reflects that process of loss. From mourning, to moving forward. 10/10 trailer.
With all due respect to all the actors, including Chadwick, I really feel like Angela Bassett is going to knock it out of the park in this one. The pain in her voice can't be faked. She truly feels like a mother that's lost her son. It absolutely shattered me, and I'm sure there's gonna be many more moments she's gonna slay the role. Carrying a tissue box for this one for sure.
The thing that really breaks me hearing her delivery is that I remember her and Chadwick talking during the press tour for the first film and it did seem like they had a relationship that not only had lots of respect for each other as actors, but that they did almost have a mother-son relationship/mentorship on set that helped make their onscreen characters feel more authentic. I had thought that was pretty cool at the time, but hearing her tap into that same pain as if she had really lost her son, and was trying to summon the strength to carry on, it's a really powerful line, but her delivery is just incredible.

Not just to Greg but to anyone. Never feel bad for crying, all of us on the outside lost a very special person that day. A fighter who didn't let his illness stop him from achieving his dreams. Just the fact that a LOT of people are having this strong a reaction to this trailer (myself included) makes me think this movie is going to be something truly special
This is one of the best teaser trailers that Marvel has ever released. The song is perfect and this trailer is so emotional. Rest In Peace our King Chadwick Boseman!!
"In my culture, death is not the end. They are still with us, as long as we do not forget them." - King T'Challa, What If...? Rest in Peace, Chadwick Boseman: A king in all our hearts. Wakanda Forever
Makes me think of his quote in Captain America: The Winter Soldier: "In my culture, death is not the end. It's more of a stepping off point. You reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they lead you into the green veld where you can run forever." It really does sound peaceful.
As a Latino having Namor and Atlantis be a mix of the ancient empires (Aztec, Maya, and Inca) it’s absolutely amazing and as a mayan myself I hope this and blue beetle open up a new wave of Latino heroes
You weren’t making it about you, you were displaying the goal of this moving trailer that only brings appreciation to Chadwick. Pure raw emotion, realest reactions ever
I did not expect to just start bawling in the first 4 seconds of this trailer. I never knew Chadwick outside the marvel movies but the impression he left is deep and this movie seems like it’s going to truly honor that.
Thank you all. I also cried because you could FEEL the actors emotions through this tiny trailer alone. When Angela Basset spoke I instantly felt this wave of pain and the climax of the music enhancing more and more really pulled the heart strings. Don’t ever apologize for crying on camera. It just shows how honest you all are 💜
As a Mexican I feel proud to see one of us making it to the big stage The homage to Chadwick made my eyes had tears The movie looks dope ! Can't wait to going back to Wakanda and see more of that world
Bringing people of Native/Latino/Hispanic backgrounds to projects this big is just impactful for us. Sure, there’s other actors who have made it, but this is what has the world’s attention. To see super heroes who look and feel like “us” is something I never thought I’d see. Now, we have Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), America Chavez, and now Namor in the MCU is a beautiful thing for the culture ✊🏽
I love yall culture. Ever since John Leguizamo, America Ferrera, and others. I hope that this brings love to acceptance of our beautiful ways. I have been accepting towards yall for years. And I'm happy as hell yall got represented in this way!!!! I very been working in warehouses on and off so that's always half us half yall. And I go out my way to make friends. Let's BE the change we want to SEE!!!!! ❤
This trailer is so moving. You can hear the pain in Angela Bassetts voice when her character she says she has lost her entire family that when the tears started pouring.
I’m right there with you guys, crying my eyes out. We were blessed to have Chadwick. He didn’t get his big break until his late 30s and then delivered between 5-7 GREAT films in what a 4 year time span before his death. He was phenomenal.
the impact BP1 had as a cultural movement, losing Chadwick, the whole Letitia Wright controversy and wondering how that would affect an already delicate project - it feels like we all had an emotional stake in this. Seeing this beautiful trailer that expresses, not only how those who worked with Chad feel, but also an acknowledgment that we, the audience, feel a sense of loss, is a very special touch. And THEN also adding the Mexican representation on top of it!! - this is gonna be such a special film; ANOTHER BOX OFFICE BLOW OUT I’m certain. And I can’t wait to see what Marvel does with Namor and the people of Atlantis. Well done Ryan. Well done sir. Thankyou.
Just seeing Ryan's name gave me such a sense of comfort, _knowing_ he was gonna tell this story well. You're so right - it's a delicate project, not only because of what they've had to maneuver around, but because we're delicate too. I trust him to guide us through our own grief as the characters are guided through theirs. Just like you said, you can see already that he wove all of us into this movie. And my god, from what we just saw, it's even more visually stunning than the first one. That somehow feels important - weaving beauty in with pain. November can't get here soon enough.
Had the exact same reaction Greg, I absolutely fell a part. I remember how close Letitia and Lupita were to Chadwick. He was truly like a brother and friend to them, and this trailer really taps into that very real sense of loss. Chadwick’s presence and dare I say spirit was very much felt in this.
I can't remember the last time I was more devastated by a celebrity death. Maybe not ever this much. Both the character and the man were beyond amazing. His time with us was far too short but he's left a beautiful legacy. Rest in power, Great King.
I did not expect to cry this much from this trailer but here I am bawling my eyes out just as much as Greg. I’m so glad I’m not alone in feeling like this. I still think it was a massive mistake to not recast T’Challa, but absolutely I love how beautifully they are handling Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Both Chadwick and T’Challa were my heroes. REST IN POWER MY KING! Also we are getting both Iron Heart AND Namor The Submariner! As someone who is half Latino myself I can’t tell you how happy I am that we are getting a top tier superhero representing us!
It would be kind of a hard pill to swallow, recasting the character after Chadwick gave such an iconic performance. The fans were pretty adamant too, wich only complicates it further, as it means any potential replacement would imediatly be compared to him, wich just wouldnt be fair and would probably result in a lot of people not even being interested.
I cried too Greg. This movie has a lot of weight on its shoulders and I have mad respect for Ryan Coogler to treat this with the upmost of care and love
you can see the exact moment Greg was wrecked 😭 oh my goodness bro, feel your feelings ,this trailer really got to me too. I can't even imagine how the film is going to wreck me emotionally. Very excited to see Ryan and everyone involved in such a heartfelt project have put together. ♥
I can’t tell you how moved I was by this trailer. My soul got chills. This was the most authentic reaction I’ve seen. Greg your display of emotion made me cry and thank you for normalizing vulnerability 💕
I feel you Greg. Making this movie was probably really tough, challenging, and emotional for Ryan coogler and the cast because of Chadwick not being there, but you definitely feel his presence throughout this trailer with the characters. This looks beautiful and I'm really excited.
I lost so much during covid, all 4 of my pets passed, i lost all my friends due to my depression and Chadwick was my hero and his loss felt just as heartbreaking as my pets which sounds crazy but I remember seeing the news and I was just in complete shock for at least a week, I hope this movie brings some sort of closure to those close and all the fans like me. Wakanda Forever my king!
I hope you are able to get help for your depression. My pets were my children and I still miss them every day even though they have been dead for ten years now so I hope you can find new friends who will be there for you and someone who can help you with your depression.
I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my sweet cat, Maples, during the pandemic and it wrecked my soul. Chadwick was such a good soul. I get what you’re going through my friend.

This seems like so much more than a super hero movie! The Homage to Chadwick, the Cultural and diverse splendor represented. The beautiful visuals of the Aztec/ Mayan culture. Mexican representation the introduction of Namor, & Iron Heart this it’s just Epic beyond words.
Probably the best trailer for the whole MCU. I’ve been pretty emotionally done with the series after Endgame, but this just looks next level. Stirring emotion in me I never expected to feel in this series. Truly something special.
I couldn’t help but just break down into tears after seeing this trailer. It looks absolutely amazing and it pains me to know that Chadwick could not be a part of it. Maybe he Rest In Peace and power 💔

Greg i just want to let you know how much I admire and respect the vulnerability that you show your audience. You perceive things with such emotional intelligence and I think that's very powerful.
Unbelievable. And that cover of Marley blending with Kendrick. So emotional. If they can keep this kind of tribute and emotion for the movie too this will be a very special film.

I too was so pleasantly surprised at just how emotional I got watching this. And as a result my anticipation for this film jumped 10 fold. The song choices not only hit sonically, and musically, but the lyrics themselves are a beautiful message to us as the audience about grief and loss, and moving forward. (which I know is a theme that always resonates with you, Greg) "WE GON BE ALRIGHT!" Phenomenal choice by the editing team for this trailer. Chills, tears, the sweats. Literally ALL of the above just watching it back with you boys again. Cant wait.
my reaction was the exact same as Greg's. I'm not able to describe through text where I resonated with the trailer, but I definitely understand what greg was trying to say in terms of noticing the truth in the pain porttrayerd through the screen; it has such an intense sense of genuineness. Greg, I wish I could give u a big hug.. u have one of the warmest hearts out there ily for that
I’ve watched this trailer at least 8 times. And every time I ball my eyes out. The music choice, the editing, Angela Basset ‘s emotional speech, is just phenomenal. CANT WAIT 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Let yourself feel it. We all feel it and it's healthy that we go through this catharsis collectively. We lost Chadwick in the midst of the height of the pandemic where we lost so many people at once - this trailer reminds us that we are connected in grief and in love and in all of those moments in between. Vulnerability is beautiful and it shows you care. Don't stop caring.

This trailer put tears into my eyes and made me feel a flurry of emotions. absolutely took my breath away. I didnt know how you could do BP2 without Chadwick and how it would stand without him, but through this trailer I feel him there in every frame and even the song, We gone be alright.

Rest in Peace, Chadwick Boseman: A king in all our hearts.

thank you for reminding me of that wonderful quote :’)
Makes me think of his quote in Captain America: The Winter Soldier: "In my culture, death is not the end. It's more of a stepping off point. You reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they lead you into the green veld where you can run forever."
It really does sound peaceful.

It just shows how honest you all are 💜
As a Mexican I feel proud to see one of us making it to the big stage
The homage to Chadwick made my eyes had tears
The movie looks dope !

Bringing people of Native/Latino/Hispanic backgrounds to projects this big is just impactful for us. Sure, there’s other actors who have made it, but this is what has the world’s attention. To see super heroes who look and feel like “us” is something I never thought I’d see. This trailer is so moving. You can hear the pain in Angela Bassetts voice when her character she says she has lost her entire family that when the tears started pouring.
That might be the best trailer Marvel has ever put out. So powerful, emotional, and beautiful
Yes I agree
I’m right there with you guys, crying my eyes out. We were blessed to have Chadwick. He didn’t get his big break until his late 30s and then delivered between 5-7 GREAT films in what a 4 year time span before his death. He was phenomenal.
a true testament to fulfilling your purpose ... 🙏🏾❤️
the impact BP1 had as a cultural movement, losing Chadwick, the whole Letitia Wright controversy and wondering how that would affect an already delicate project - it feels like we all had an emotional stake in this.

The fans were pretty adamant too, wich only complicates it further, as it means any potential replacement would imediatly be compared to him, wich just wouldnt be fair and would probably result in a lot of people not even being interested.
i would hope they wouldn’t recast- especially after the tragedy
😭😭😭
We're finally getting our representation in the MCU 🇲🇽🇲🇽 😭😭!! Aztec / mayans!

I cried too Greg. This movie has a lot of weight on its shoulders and I have mad respect for Ryan Coogler to treat this with the upmost of care and love

Same here. I'm fucking emotional over here. Damn what a trailer.
