Hello. Yes I use a ef to ef-m lens adapter to fit on my canon m50. I use the f/1.8 lens most of the time but when I do have to use the f/4 I am mostly recording video so I can have the shutter speed on 1/125 making it no too dark. I agree tho f/4 does get pretty dark, and I am going to be upgrading soon probably to a f/2.8
Check if your school has a year class and maybe they have special classes. I am in yearbook and we have special passes to any event as long as we were respectful to go take photos and we’re not caused and disturb disturbance so talk to your school administration and if you don’t have any of those.
I was using a efs 55-250mm lens to get those shots. I switched between the 50mm lens and the 55-250 during the game so I could get different types of shots.
Yea, when I started sitting like at the top of the stands when I wanted to be able to zoom in I would switch it, and sometimes I would use the zoom lens at the baseline to get tighter shots.
@karivfx3808 yes I like it, but I can’t tell if it would be a good main mic, I usually use that microtone just for scratch audio for when I make my videos. If I am talking to the camera I would be using my Rode Wireless Me to get good audio.
@karivfx3808 Like I use it just as a reference when I do my sfx over it, I would replace the audio later or turn it down a lot. So I don’t really need a very powerful mic to do that. I’m sure it would also be just fine if you were using it as a vlog mic or something
amazing that you use a Prime 50 for this. It is inspirational
keep killing it brother, saw this on my recommended

Good work!
yo bro this is epic, keep it up!
Thanks!
Good work! What device or method are you using to capture both yourself and the game during recording?
Thanks! I’m using a GoPro 6 that’s attached to my backpack strap to get the bts videos.
❤ as a yearbook photographer I respectfully support this ❤
Appreciate it!
Appreciate the video, it was price nice off of the M50 💪🏾
Love you work! do you sell your luts?
Thanks! At the moment I do not sell my luts, but maybe in the future.
For the 55-250, do you use an adapter and how is it being f/4 even in low light gyms

ok thx @@colin.mp4
Could look at getting the viltrox speed booster and then get a efs to ef mount converter for your 55-250mm lens@@colin.mp4
I want to get in to photographing basketball games at my school but how did you get permission to be on the court?
Thanks for watching the video! I just contacted the head coach of the team and got permission that way.

What are your settings for the m50?
Do you have the 18-150 or the 55-200
How do you zoom if you're using prime? Nice vid!
Thanks for the comment! I used a ef-s 55-250 for some of the shots when I needed to get closer into the action.
Nice! I want to try this one too on my m50 coz I only have prime. What AF do you use and how much ISO do you usually set? @@colin.mp4
Bro how about the camera settings did you use?
I was using f/1.8 and 1/125 for most of the clips, Then just adjusting the iso to expose the shot right.
@@colin.mp4 Thankyou bro
What mode are u filming in and how isn’t your autofocus not going everywhere?
I am filming in manual mode. Sometimes the focus does get way off, but I’ve gotten used to how it works and can get it to work most of the time.
Do you have the Canon adapter or the Viltrox speed booster
Hi, yes I used the Viltrox adapter to connect the ef lens to ef-m
@@colin.mp4 you have the regular Viltrox adapter? Not the speed booster?
@joejoerunya8908 correct, I was using the regular adapter for the M50. I now have the R8 though so I don’t use the adapter anymore
@@colin.mp4 big upgrade! 😂🔥🔥
Yes, for sure! It took a while to save up!
Did you film it in 4k or 1080p?
For this video specifically, I was filming in 1080p. Thanks for the comment!
How can you keep everyone in focus?
Around minute 5:50 and up is where I saw many athletes were in focus
Settings?
what mic are you using couldn’t find it on the kit page
Sorry, I just noticed I didn’t have it on their. I am using the “Movo VXR10 Universal Shotgun Mic” Thanks For Asking!
@@colin.mp4 do you like the mic is it any good? especially for basketball
