Nice video, when you are in automatic mode change the sequential mode to D2 or D3. This will now change gear above 2000RPM, this will stop the vibrations when labouring under 2000RPM.
Had the same problem with my ARM downpipes on my M2C. Found that is was the downpipe rattling due to the way they are made. Inside of the downpipes they have 2 or 3 different connections of metal tubes. Once they get warmed up and at start up they smack together and cause a rattle. Had them taken off immediately. Once they were off the car we hit the down pipe with our hands to find that issue. They ended up sending me 3 different sets and hit each of them with our hands and had the same problem on each. Total nightmare. Ended up getting the AA EL mid pipe resonated with their axel back system. Perfect set up now. Love your f80 brotha
Yooooooo didn’t know that man! Finally someone with a legit answer lol. It’s been bugging me so much not knowing for sure what it was. Is it possible to weld the downpipe connections to stop the rattle? Yeah I’ve heard adding resonators will fix the issue which I might have to down the road
@@F80Ho hahah you got it man! You may be able to weld it not 100% sure. The first set they sent me they asked if I could just cut out the inner section of the pipe causing the rattle. Wasn’t too keen on Jerry rigging it make it work for the type of car it is. They then sent me out two other sets that I knew had the same problem as soon as I opened the box. It’s the flex sections that have the issue on them. It’s too bad because they would be a great solution for tons people looking for resonated down pipes. Definitely would suggest pulling the trigger on actives axel back in the future and pairing it with you EL mid. It’s a super solid set up. Although it hurts the pocket a bit for sure
@@shanecox8575 damn! You went through it with them 😅😅😅. And haha everything we do for our cars always hurts the wallet but adds to the smiles inside and out 🤣. I was able to switch my automatic shift mode to D2/D3 so it shifts at higher rpm and keeps it above 2k lol good temporary fix for now, thanks for the knowledge brotha 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I went with AA single midpipe, ARM DP, and Remus muffler. Zero rasp and nice deep tone down low, nice crispy sound high up. Before the Single midpipe mine was ratting like that as well.
Yeah man, it really isn’t my long term setup because of this. Adding resonators would for sure muzzle this rattle, I’ve heard the setup on two other cars now and they both said they don’t have the drone/rasp
@@F80Ho such a difficult decision to make. I’ve already got the ARM dp. Just deciding on a midpipe at the moment. Really wanna hear the resonated EL before making my decision! Thanks heaps for the review bro. Definitely saved me some frustration
LETS GO. Equal length is crazy sounding when you're so used to the lawnmower lol. I'm running out of things to do so I might do that and CF Fenders next.

Yea, I have VRSF catless downpipes with AA's EQL resonated midpipes. Don't have any of that 2K rpm honda sound. I'm really curious if the ARM resonated catless downpipes, would make my car sound even better compared to the regular VRSF catless DP? Worth the buy and install??
does it sound like that if you have both valves being controlled via RPM? alot of ppl complain that keeping valves open have tons of rasp. also side note, that road you were on, cops like to sit there. i use to take that road all the time.
Yeah I figured lol about the cops on that road^ don’t go there too often 🙏🏽🤞🏽 And yeah same sound happened when I had both valves plugged in. Prob gonna switch the setup down the road but for now leave it lol
Hell yeah! I’ve talked to many people after this vid and sounds like all I have to do is add sme resonators which I’ll do sooner than later haha. For now, I’ll just drive in Auto D3 shift mode to keep the rpm’s above 2k 😂😅
Nice F80 I have a M4 with a similar setup but mines fully catless doesnt sound like that, go fully catless maybe since yours is resonated u get that annoying sound.
@@F80Ho Ok nice, yea never understood resonated pipes either go catless or keep it stock, i have catless downpipes, catless midpipes sounds perfect love the flame tune i gotta get that!
