    These Autel's are awesome scan tools for the money...I picked up a MS906CV for $1400(I do more heavy truck,but it'll do light vehicles too)...money well spent...BUTTTTTTT.....one thing I learned about these scanners,is sometimes they'll trigger a false-positive code in some modules and won't always communicate...happens mostly with Ford, but just a heads up....had my '16 F150 with U0121 coming from the PSCM that has been driving me crazy...no CEL..all of the trac control and ABS work just fine..communicates with all modules, but keeps giving me that damn code....after weeks of chasing,I finally said fuck it and let Ford scan it...they found no faults,even though mine was showing the code...after speaking with Ford Tech support,they explained that for some reason or another, that the software protocols that Autel uses with Android can actually trigger an event,even though nothing is faulty...they actually recommend scanning with Key Off,EO,unless checking PCM,which you would need to scan with KOEO or KOER....certainly wasn't the case with your diag,but just a heads up for the future...also,cant go wrong with a Fluke...my 87 is my primary, and I use a Klein mm2000 for load test...ive seen techs use meters without true RMS or load test/LowZ and they're chasing ghost voltage and scratching their heads..LOL....Great vid man...from one tech to another - you know your shit 🤙

      I have that happen, false positives. Simply, I just go to the generic scanner, (usually those fake codes are in Pcm) if the generic doesn't detect a code then I don't chase my ass lol. I have this happen 4x. Usually with vw Audi I get them

    Very good video! You just earned another subscriber. I just did a trans swap on my 09 impala.. I have the same code. I'm gonna check that wire. If it's not that what else could it be? The code wasnt there before I did the trans swap

      Powers and grounds! I thoroughly go the the test in video. It's very simple....
      If that don't work. Try unplugging and plugging it back in, could be connection related.
      Your issue seems like human error though, especially If it wasn't there before. I'm confident you'll either resolve or know your problem following my steps.
      Please update if you tried everything without resolution. I'll try my best to assist you

    How to check the ABS plug on an avometer, read the hot and cold volts, and the line was on a resistance. We have to boil one of the battery’s positive or negative electrodes before checking if the car battery remains in its position and check thanks dear

    I enjoyed this nice video! I see this U0121 with U0422 on a 19 chevy Tahoe. No check engine light, but I have tpms light on. Replaced one of the tpms sensors however tire shop says he can’t program them. Car was wrecked and trying to fix it. Any idea if this is the similar issue here?

    Hey Bran...just replaced my SDM in a 09 Avalanche ltz, 5.3 v8. Initial issue, and still occurring by the way, various instrument cluster indicators flash along with service messages. Also all gauges move back and forth...with car in idle and moving. ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, AIR BAG, BREAKS, TBS and ENGING all flash or stay on then go off. Then get messages to service TRACTION CONTROL, AIR BAG, STABILITRAC, SUSPENSION AND 4 WHEEL SYSTEM. Have you seen this before?

    • @partsshooter
      @partsshooter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't seen this before... But the clusters are known to go bad...[that's least of our worries it seems]
      To be more help, try pulling codes with a complete scan of ALL MODULES, clear codes and see what immediately come back, enter that module in question and retrieve codes. Update this post and we can go from there....
      It seems like a communication issue, or modules incapable of communicating with replaced unit [require programming]
      Link up with the PCM and go from there, can't know what the computer has issues with until messages are relayed through all modules and codes are retrieved.

    • @mrparker1972
      @mrparker1972 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@partsshooter Thanks....I'll definitely update you. The module was supposed to be programmed when I had it installed. Also looking at engine grounding wires and mega fuse for corrosion. Just a shot in the dark

    • @partsshooter
      @partsshooter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrparker1972 yeah... Accessing the module will answer a lot! So there wouldn't be any "shooting in the dark"😆
      Once module is access, we could look at PID data, it'll display "battery voltage" for starters... Which will deduce inspecting fuses and grounds [to a degree]
      A generic scan tool can't achieve this BTW, bidirectional needed, I'm sure you know this, thought I'd mention.

    • @mrparker1972
      @mrparker1972 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@partsshooter yeah, shooting in the dark can be expensive as well as dangerous...😄😉. I'll be taking it back to the shop that just did the replacement to read the codes properly. I also noticed the rubber covering on the positive post is exposing about a 1/4 of the wires underneath. Wonder if this could be part or the problem....

    • @partsshooter
      @partsshooter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnniecrain7986 ensure you're checking the correct wire! Make sure it require power. [I understand how convoluted things can be]
      Used a an ohm meter to aid in narrowing down wires, some good meters have sound [beep] to allow rapid wire checks during wire piercing, also send bias voltage using the test light! From module end to power source, and basically do voltage check ensuring correct wire and resistance value to confirm. Hope that make sense!

    My first time on your channel. Bro, please stop back probing or piercing connector wires when the connector is in your hand when you can just touch the metal pin inside gently, DAMN DOG. ABS modules have enough problems without waiting for green crusties to build up later in your big pierce holes from your fat meter leads and test light lead. Please get a proper probe & piercing set from AESWave and front probe in cases like this. Thank you for the case study.
