Yes, you are perfectly right. I made a mistake purchasing X56 and I truly regret it. Now I will have to check if the Virpil is compatible with the cockpit base hole. I'll make a change to it eventually
So are you parsing the game data communications with the server for these controls or just hard-wiring these controls as alt-keypress emulators for input only? Do the controls get any feedback from the game?
I have a program made with Unity that takes data from ED and transmits it to the Arduino. Then I created a sketch that transmits the data to the various OLEDs and LCDs and LEDs. I installed the program "Elite Dangerous Cougar Display" which also takes data from ED and transmits it to secondary monitors

The buttons and switches are connected to 4 BBI-32 USB encoders
