People read the instructions carefully..it clearly says in the instructions insert tube about 30cm into "AIR INLET" of AC system and spray until system is full of foam..the air inlet of AC is at where the AC fan is inside glove box where cabin filter is..it didn't say AIR outlet which is the air vents inside the car😅😆

I've watched dozens of videos on cleaning car evaporator. This is the best with video showing the reaction inside the evap core.

Despite what others have said below, the CRC instructions are not always correct for every vehicle. This should be highlighted in the CRC instructions. However, they do stipulate you must follow the manufacturers service manual. Unfortunately, the location of the evaporator is not always directly under the air intake cabin filter. As a mechanical engineer, I can tell you using your endoscope to locate your AC evaporator to confirm the correct location was a stroke of genius. As was your video showing the evaporator filling with foam. If only CRC had provided customers with an instructional video as clear as yours, then maybe there wouldn't be so much confusion. People obviously don't realize, the main objective is to clean the AC evaporator and allow the foam to penetrate the fins using gravity to remove dirt and finally descend via the drain hose. Therefore, your technique is spot on, well done. Too many people in the world today think they know everything and are so quick to criticise. In reality, you were only trying to help others & for that I thank you. Well done, sorry about the haters.

Very informative video and great tip with the endoscopic camera to save wasting the product! My wife’s AC is giving of bad smell, so before I do anything else, I will give this a shot too. Thanks again for the detailed video!

thanks! yes, worth getting the camera. something i dont see on other video is the emphasis on cleaning the evaporator, they just put the foam on the duct which will not do anything other than giving a temporary fragrance. the camera will ensure you will hit it in the right spot. good luck with trying this, hopefully will fix your AC odor problem.

Good video . I have recently bought the product but your method is totally different than the one suggested on the manual. Any specific reason of doing this way

Hi plus five horsepower, I have a 2018 RAV4 and wondered where should I put in the endoscopic camera? Do you have a video? Thanks.

Did this also make you AC colder, that is, if your evaporator was really dirty?

And also what brand/model of the camera please? Thanks

Thanks for video. Although the instructions on the box I got said to turn off all electrical and engine. Spray foam and Wait 30min and then turn AC of high for 10 to 20min. Are your instructions different?

I sprayed mine down every vent in the vehicle with cabin filter out then ran the vehicle for 20 min with the heater and A/C on full. I clearly have done this wrong and was wondering if there would be any drastic effects to my a/c system doing it this way?

Follow directions on can next time or watch the real video from CRC using the product. Don't believe the first person you come across on you tube as half of them have no idea what they're doing, because they don't read the instructions either. That's why there are instructions on things. 🤦‍♀🤦‍♀

There's nothing wrong with your method whether you're going through the vent or from the side, I don't think it makes any difference. It's been a year...any issues?

CRC recommends doing the procedure a different way.

Through the drain tube? Sometimes that's rather difficult. My VW for instance has a hard plastic tube attached to the floor well wall by a rubber grommet, where it drains right out onto the frame... no rubber hose under the car. While its not too hard to get to, being a hard plastic with weird bends it's nearly impossible to snake the spray tube up past the few 90 degree hard corners. Through the vents is acceptable, if not better to clean out really dusty vents.

@@AltruisticWarrior Lmao hahaha NO... NOT though the drain tube... that's where it comes out of OMG!!!! Read the instructions for heavens sake people!

This would be a good tutorial if you actually read the instructions and did it correctly

I think this method is better because the gravity will be helping push the foam down directly onto the evaporator. Going through the side vent near the blower will work too but it seems wasting the foam. His camera even shows this.
