I just used this video to change the air filters in my 2015 S550. It is one-hundred percent identical to the 2016 model shown in this video.
PS: I chose to replace the Benz filters with K&N's and the difference is profound.

Thanks for the video, I still find German cars over complicated even for a simple air filter, American cars use clamps, you don't have to take the extra 10 steps to remove the filter, oh well, I still love my s550

This was a helpful video. The only aspect that wasn't shown (and was what i found to be the most difficult part) was to how to unclip the sensors mounted to the air filter housing. I tried to get them off, but didnt want to risk breaking them so i gave up. I was still table to install the replacement filters without removing those clips, however, so it all worked out. Thanks for your video.

I just replaced my filters after watching this. But I found that it is unnecessary to disconnect the sensors. Just loosen the clamps, lift from the back, and pull away from the air inlets. Then flip the unit over, loosen the 4 screws, take out the old filter, replace with the new one, and reassemble. Pretty easy job.

Hey Wayne great video, I'm replacing mines as well, the air filter sensor behind the right box broke, do you by chance know that part number? Thanks.
The best place to get the part number is calling the Mercedes Dealership Parts Department and having them give you the part number over the phone. I tried searching for it, but don't want to make the mistake of giving you the wrong number.

You have to follow your cars maitenance schedule.
You didn’t even show how to unplug the sensor from the back of the housing.
