After looking for a decent C3PO for a while, I recently picked up the RotS C3PO very cheaply and glad i did. A SA figure would have more articulation than the actual character.
Good choice to do a comparison/rating. I agree with the theme to keep it to figs that look the same throughout and keeping to same actor for continuity. Looking forward to seeing which fig gets next turn.....

I bought the Ewok Throne C3PO a couple days ago.
Great figure, but on the first day the torso joint broke off and on the second day a knee joint broke off.
Now i display him next to a Jawa selling spare parts.

My personal favorite C3po will always be the one from Jabbas Sail Barge with Salacious B crumb, a second would probably be the Phantom Menace one, awesome video as always
I'll admit, I do like the look of the TPM one! Looked nice in this vid too. I guess I vote it down coz it feels kinda rubbery and it's articulation is poor... but it still deserves credit! 🙂👌🏼💙

picked up a ewok throne c3po for 13 on ebay in the box, im really excited to add him to my new collection ive started. i had the figure as a kid and i believe mine is in my stoarge unit with old figures. im excited to see the figure again for the first time

For being one of the big characters and I imagine being a common re-release I don't believe I have many 3POs not counting figures that were repaints but were of other characters like the Hoth Protocol Droid. I had the Saga Collection one, the Vintage Original Trilogy one and the one with Salacious B. Crum.
Unless I'm missing something again it has been awhile since I've been able to see my figures that are packed away. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next episode.
I actually have the Revenge of the Sith 3PO. He's so freaking good. Him and the ROTS R2 are both my mains. But I'd love to get some OG trilogy versions of them. Especially that Endor 3PO.

I had the force link C3 PO and sold him I have the episode 1 naked C3 PO and the 2 originals solid limbs loose due to age and the detachable limbs with the net .
Oh wow. I have that removable armor AotC/Saga Collection 3PO. Bought on card and I could never bare to open it because he looks like a Droid serial killer hollowed out 3PO to wear as a suit. LOL. It's funny how different people react to things in figures. I'm not to fussed about Vac-metal on figures, but I get why people like it for 3PO. But I one of my favorites that I own is actually the 5POA C-3PO from Force Link 1.0, because even though he's not super shiny like vac-metal, they used a lighter "Aged Brass" paint color, so he has a bit of shine and enough weathering that he'd make a nice dirty ANH 3PO in a pinch. I think if they had used that paint or similar instead of the Bronze paint on the TVC release, people would have complained a lot less about that release.

Not exactly a C-3PO 'figure', more of an accessory, but I love the one that comes with the Cloud City Chewie (Saga 2002). He's in bits and goes in the net, the unique thing about this 3PO, is that when you push his head down into his body, his eyes light up. 🤩

Great review. I've got the vac metal potf one. C3-PO on steroids. My best version is a newer 5-poa version. It's great to look at,as is the R2 from the same range. Think they might be a Last Jedi version, not too sure though to be honest. I loved your first pic, seen you talk about that version many a time before. I'm always looking out for a new 3PO and R2 whenever I'm out in town. Some good looking figures there. By the way, been to the hospital,had scans and been diagnosed with a clot in my artery that provides blood to my lower left leg!! It is what it is. So I've had no choice to stop work, staying in a lot. It's driving me mad really,but I've got to for my health. It's meant though unfortunately that I've had to stop buying anything for my collection now. Felt really weird going into town last week and having to walk past all the shops and not go in. The problem now though is that the more videos I watch,as I have more time on my hands, the more things I see that I want...grrr!!! Lol,it happens though I suppose. I managed to buy a few things for the 40th anniversary, so that's always good,as I'm very much an original trilogy person lol. You've been putting out some great videos recently Nick, they're always good,but especially lately now that I have been in a lot. Plenty of catch ups to do,but also been re-watching a lot of your vids. 👍👍

You are killing it with these new series ideas, Nick. Thanks for this one. I have had the pea-head C-3po on my Barge for years now, but couldn't figure out what I didn't like about it. I always thought it was his wide leg stance, but you are so right about the head. A swap is coming soon! You can do characters like Obi and Luke, just do them by designation - Tatooine, Bespin fatigues, A New Hope Obi, ATOTC Obi, etc. Cheers!

Great line up! For me its the shiny vac metal! The second to last looks great to how we see him in epi 1 but I prefer 3PO with all the coverings on like in the original trilogy :-)

The ideal Threepio for me would be Ewok Throne Threepio with the paintjob of the 2004 VOTC figure. That figure had an awful sculpt but IMO the best paintjob we've ever had for a non-minty fresh version of him and I don't know why it hasn't been repeated.
I do have a fondness still for those POTF2 removable limbs and Purchase of the Droids figures despite the headsculpts not being quite right.

Solo had a 5 POA two pack with Threepio and R2.
Also the one with his eye out from Salacious Crumb (mostly same mold as the Saga one)

The AOTC figure is terrible, but I've picked up loads over the years for the trunk accessories
The only one missing is the 2004 VOTC figure, but that one would probably also be one of the worst of the worst. I do agree with your choice for best C-3PO.
I agree with your number 1 choice, which is a fantastic version of C3PO. I'm surprised you didn't have the TVC version lower down the list. The POTF 2 butch C3PO is just plain awful, and yes, I am 100% in agreement with you on your last placed version. I will not be going anywhere near that. Awesome video and awesome series.

@OnlyOneKenobi , there is just something about the TVC version that doesn't look or sit right. I have him displayed with the rest of my TVC Star Wars A New Hope Figures, and he doesn't look like he belongs, if that makes sense? The colour, the scale. Sculpt wise, he is ok, but I think I would have put him lower down behind the 2 vac metal versions.....that is just me though.

I never understood why Hasbro will develop an excellent sculpt for a figure - and then revert to worse sculpts afterwards. I mean who approves these things that go backward in quality and likeness? And how do we insist they get better training or move on to an apparently less difficult position? It really infuriates me, especially for the droids as their appearance changes so few times (ie 3PO’s prequel designs obviously would be different sculpts). Otherwise change the paint deco (clean, dirty, muddy, etc). If a new sculpt is inferior to the previous one, it doesn’t get okayed. If there’s no reason to even make a new sculpt, then use the awesome one. Hasbro talks about the expense of new figures as an excuse for why things don’t get made, yet they’ll pop out a bunch of crap3PO and R2-D2’s when they have much better ones already done! And another issue - I agree that Clone Wars 3PO you show at @4:55 looks pretty good (and the R2 that came with him is the best designed Astromech that doesn’t allow the middle leg to retract into the body (a big mark against Astromech sculpts, but this about 3PO) but his scale is all off, he looks like he’s 3” scale or something. And 3PO is actually taller than Luke (look at the Tatooine scenes when 3PO and R2 get bought and later when Luke and 3PO are standing side by side surveying the evening landscape for R2…3PO is easily an inch or two taller than Luke. And with all that metal over the on he’s going to be bulkier than most characters even if Anthony Daniels was skinny. Really is bewildering and anytime they talk about how expensive it is to sculpt a new figure and make that the excuse for not making a much wanted figure, remind them how much money they wasted making a gazillion sub-par and downright ugly 3PO’s!

l like this figure l got two one gold the others lighter gold but the big issue is the plastic knee joint snaps of so easily so be more careful l bent the knee two sit in the chair it sheers off l think it's just the brittle silver and gold plastic it's soft and weak l managed to super glue but it's just standing now

Enjoying this series OOK! There's also the OTC A New Hope C-3PO which isn't that bad, maybe falls in the middle somewhere. It is not often I disagree with you Nick, but I have to with your take on the TVC C-3PO. I'll admit the molding under the removable armor is pretty cool, but overall I think that is an absolutely terrible figure, WAY too small and a terrible paint color choice. We desperately need a new C-3PO done right for TVC (and on a ANH cardback). Gotta be vac metalized though.

I seen that rots one but I didn't get it because the ewok chair one came with extra weapons it was on a saga legends card and it was a better deal for the money ...

Do the limbs saga collection 2006 come off? Are they removable like death star droid from vintage collection? Or is it something else. I have a potf 2 r2 next Potf 2 three po Removable limbs, and I have echo base R2D2 I have legacy collection saga legends c-3po repackage coming soon. I need know if he does. I have net for him. Right okay, I've been buying empire strikes back action figures up wazoo lot recently n lately. I finally got bespin escape Leia n general rieekan from saga collection 2006 assortment. I also got major bren dirlin & at at driver n at at commander general veers & mara jade before that. I got lot of figures from the best star wars film ever in a month n quarter. I had make sacrifice open up mara jade though I didn't want to I was saving her for a gift for someone someday I'll meet. However since I can't afford buy another one the 2013 one I did it anyways I opened her up when I didn't want to. Freed a space for box put more figures in for storage. She looks really great. They gave her butt though n that's not something you see alot un star wars female toys these days. Especially 90s late figure. I love it though.
I can't figure about c-3po they have different repackaging card blisters for later assortment lines I had the saga collection 2006 release un my list then I saw a different one with legacy collection saga legends & it was cheaper than the 2006 one. Why is one expensive while the other is cheaper? Could the later repack ones for the assortments afterwards be variants the same figure but different packaging less pricey I don't know if this one is entirely vac metal golden it looks less golden almost silver less gold vac metal instead of 2006 one. They do have variants for these releases right. Since they might have run out of gold color n used silver gold for later releases the toy.
Dont like the TVC Threepio as the colour,shape seems all wrong and no arm pistons or whatever they're called 🤷
