I have a TM TMX and desperately want an upgrade ive had my wheel for long enough now. Was considering the Fanatec CSL DD but it's so damn expensive, ive heard their shipping and communication isn't the best either. I would also have to buy other wheels if I wanted to but im so sold on this R3 bundle. I love that u can buy wheel rim modifications instead of whole wheels to add and change. I really want an open wheel steering wheel for F1 and GT racing so definitely gonna buy this bundle with the formula mod
When is the actual release date for the UK, I can't get a straight answer out of anyone. Overclockers say 'Eta December' - I'm wondering if there is there a supply issue?

The DD unit looks like an original Xbox , so it was only practical to make it for the Xbox , I’m sure it will come out for the PlayStation later but it’s awesome as an Xbox sim racing wheel. They should make a Forza Unit like Thrustmaster made for Gran Turismo , I’m ready to buy one.

Is the rev light not working on Xbox a firmware thing that will get patched up? Seems weird that their console targeted bundle doesn't have this supported out of the gate
Possibly/hopefully. I was told it should work fine but during all testing with different games I couldn’t get it working
Don't hold your breath. R3 isn't even listed in new Motorsport compatibility, and rev counters have never worked on fanatec via console... safe to call "PC only"
It’s good that they finally made a console compatible base, it’s just a shame they had to make a whole new base for it tho. So the people that already invested in the Moza ecosystem are still locked to pc. I was hoping they would just release a rim add on that would work with console or something or maybe an adapter for their current items but it looks like they just wanted to make more money with this one. Still cool that they’re making some progress but I guess I’ll stick to pc since I have no choice and I’m not looking to buy a second base when the one I have is stronger.
It's unfortunate but not so bad as the wheel dictates xbox compatibility, not the base. So any V2 wheelbase with the pedal connector, with this wheel will be able to connect to xbox.
Hopefully they sell the wheels independently eventually.
But at least this gives options.

On PC yes. On Xbox no
No. Won’t hook to the wheel base those would have to be plugged into a separate usb port on your pc. Only moza items can be hooked to this base
Questions.
I currently use a fanatec DD1 podium on my console rig, and also own, Logitech Pro, G29, Thrustmaster T300 and fanatec GT DD all for console.
As the console compatibility is in the wheel for fanatec, have you tried that bundles rim on the R5 or any of the other moza bases to see if it works on Xbox?
Have you tried any other moza rims on the Xbox base to see if they work?
I'm curious if my moza R16 would be able to be used on my Xbox if the compatibility is in the rim.
I have tried multiple MOZA rims with the R3 base. None function. Only the included ES wheel is supported with the R3 base currently, meaning the R5 or R16 won't be console compatible.
@@SimRacingSetups thanks mate. It's a shame that it's only a entry level DD (very entry). So far with the testing I've been doing on new Sim gear (I'm old retired and enjoying my superannuation) the only real DD bases I could recommend is the Logitech Pro and the fanatec DD1 podium for console, possibly the new Thrustmaster if they do console compatibility.
My Asetek should arrive next month for my PC rig, I'm looking forward to trying that out, I'm looking for a replacement for my simucube v2 sport on my PC rig.
The nm is kinda useless 🤷🏻♂️ and it does not work on ACC right now
@@wallyedmonds8199 yeh man I think it's a money grab, it's another expensive stepping stone to something more substantial. Just like the CSL/GT DD. Anyone who is mildly serious about racing would be disappointed with R3 or GT DD shortly after purchase. The only DD that I would recommend to anyone for console is the Logitech Pro, it has exceptional FFB. The only reason it's not on my console rig is because of its lack of rims and I really like the fanatec CSL elite V2 pedals, I even use them on my PC rig.

Is the csl dd ready2race bundle (5nm) better or is the moza better?
The CSL DD has more power/strength than the R3 and can be upgraded to 8Nm making it a more versatile wheel IMO. But the R3 isn't designed to compete overly with the CSL DD. More budget focused.
@SimRacingSetups so if the price of the two is the same for me should i get the csl dd? Or save up another 100 euros and get the moza r5
A lot comes down to preference of which ecosystem you’d rather be in. I would pick the CSL DD over the R3 as there is more room to upgrade and grow

I would have purchased this wheel if it had ordered more torque. I recently purchased the fanatec 5nm and was Disappointed in the power of it so hard to upgrade to the 8nm power pack so i know i would have extremely disappointed with this base
Indeed. It is very much an entry level base. The CSL DD and MOZA R9 are much better in terms of peak performance while still being relatively affordable

This seems funny? All the SIM racing channels have reviewed the R3 for the Xbox. But we can't buy one yet. This seems just odd? Just like Fanatec there is no stock. Come on Moza sort it out.

It's a waste. It's better just to buy the Fanatec CSL DD and use a compatible xbox wheel.
Well the thing is it's possible to use the R5 or R12 with this ES XBox wheel.
And again, Fanatec only sells in Europe + few overseas markets.

Moza has better overall quality, better qr, and no bad reviews about something going broke like fanatec has 100 of them
@@Cylioxlol fanatec quality is definitely way better. Fanatec qr2 is way better then moza ball bearing bullshit that will fail. And moza has bad reviews and reviews about these stuff not working and being garbage 😂 every company sucks
