Canada was great 20yrs ago when you could buy a 3 bedroom house in Toronto for $250k. These days, an average home in Toronto is $700k-$1M. Rent is also ridiculously expensive. If Canadians are having a hard time with the high cost of living, I can't imagine what newcomers are going through.
@@NikkiGTA416 it's crazy how things have gotten expensive but it not limited to just Canada, it's a global issue. My 2 bed 1 bath back in Jamaica when I left was valued 7.5 mill and is now worth 19 mill with no work done to it. An average scheme house in Jamaica is now at least 17 mill. Fortunately there are still some affordable areas in Canada like Alberta where you can own a good home for less than $400000 if home ownership is what you want. Populated areas are going to be more expensive and that is just logical. But the cost of living overall is crazy everywhere.
new comers use cousins, grandma, grandpa, wife, children salaries LOL thats not the north american culture. we live independently. when you turn 18 parents tell you to go away. but immigrant families live under 1 roof. yikes lol due to the cost american kids now have to live with mama and papa but its so not normal for us xD i wonder what happens to hanky panky....yikes xD where the privacy?
Dude I love your channel. I wish I knew about you 3 to 4 years ago. You video goes straight to the point, no BS and speaks volume. Please make video about best province and cities for someone to move in if they want to avoid the big expensive cities while also being able to find good job like in Tech
My parents and some of their friends left authoritarian Communist Yugoslavia for Canada in the 60s and 70s. Now many of their children are leaving Canada for the same reason. I personally know about 10 people who have permanently left Canada.
Great advise. I see a lot of Jamaican coming here and saying Canada is the worst. Also encouraging people not to come here. I say these people come with unrealistic expectations and their intents do not align with what it takes to succeed in a foreign country. Canada has been great for myself and many others, not an easy road at all but once you put in the work then the rewards are great! Excellent opportunities are here to excell if you have the proper work ethic and have patience. Some people want the results you have but don't want to walk the path.

I totally concur, why do people not understand that moving to any country is literally starting over again. Like you said if one does their research, when it won’t be a shocker. Thanks for sharing your two sense.
Canada immigrstion is doing cleaning mess post vovid yes immigration favor and mess during covid and post is over😢 Canada is too much really, employment rate is up, struggling , inflation, rent, cost of living😮
Hello, you can do all kind of research, you can be qualify, you can work as many job, but due to how the the system is set up, especially if you are black or from a third world country reaching to the very top position is not going to be easy. You may reach management but it will not be an easy process. You can work had but the system of tax will dip into every pay you receive, not to mention house and car insurance. Food for thought.

Hi: A book that provides valuable info about life in Canada for certain immigrants is "A Place Called Heaven- the Meaning of being black in Canada.". This book explains things that I did not understand when I came to Canada. Major online book stores should have it. I bought my copy about 1996 and the price was moderate then. I am not sure of the cost now.
i love canada. i'm not a fan of summer. i love fall and winter and rain xD i dont wanna have children. i save millions not paying 500$-1000$ a month PER CHILD for child day care. i dont want to buy property. im saving MILLIONS lol i dont eat much tropical fruit. im ok with apples, strawberries, oranges for the rest of my life lol i hate cars. never have to deal with paying 500$ for winter tires for 1 wheel lol no inssurance life is great on the bus

Oh I speak fluent sarcasm but I fail to see the sarcasm in your comment. I see someone saying my title is misleading.
Why give your video a sensational title when the content is completely different
would you have clicked on it otherwise? and there goes your answer.
