I feel like a lot of the Hollywood clips were chosen in order to beat the language barrier. That's fine, though it seems to leave the impression that all American comedies are crass. I wonder what selections might rely less on the grossout factor?

Also it's kinda crazy to think that our humor is acted out when we have a tradition of oral comedy stemming from our English days, and when our stand-up scene is so vibrant
My view on comedy as a Korean-American is that Koreans really enjoy reactions, while Americans love inside jokes and cultural references.
You should try some older American comedies like: "Airplane!" "Dumb and Dumber" "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" "Blazing Saddles" "Anger Management" "Anchorman" "Mean Girls"

I agree with Airplane, I think any of Leslie Nielsen's old comedies would be great; they have a lot of the weird absurd comedic aspects like the korean films shown here, and they'd all be pretty enjoyable despite any language barriers. Wrongfully Accused, the Naked Gun series, Mr Magoo, all classic comedies.

“Get Smart” is a really funny one as well if you love Steve Carrel, “Fun with Dick and Jane”, “Bruce Almighty” both featuring Jim Carrey, “She’s the Man” and a lot more should be added if they do a series of this video, there is so many good movies to go through

One I forgot to mention is my favourite film of all time which is Love Exposure, but that isn't just a comedy, it's a thriller/drama/romance, It's basically just one one big mind fuck.

One of my favorite Comedy movies in the US is Zoolander !! I especially like the scene "Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good" which features Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller

I am so happy you guys had Miss Granny on there... seriously one of my all time favorite Korean movies. Seducing Mr. PERFECT is another all time favorite! As for my countries films... some other good ones are: Road Trip, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Change-Up (etc). I feel that those are good starting points to better appreciate less violence in American comedy movies ♡ love the videos! Xoxox from the states!

For more comedies you should watch " Something about Mary", "40 Year Old Virgin", " Anchorman", "Taledega Nights", "Groundhog Day", "Eurotrip", "Uncle Buck", "Not Another Teen Movie", "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", "Employee of the Month", "Dodgeball", and "High Anxiety" to name a few crossing the different comedy genres. "Idiocracy" was hilarious, as well as "Office Space". "The Jerk" was great! "Tommy Boy" and "Black Sheep" will be classics of my generation.

Extreme Job (극한직업) i just bought this, i forgot about it when i saw a clip and thought it to be enjoyable. I can see in the first act where a large part of the budget went. Great show so far, I just laughed and laughed.

My father let me and my sister( ages 4-7) watch this while my mother was out. When she found out she was pissed because we would sometimes reenact some scenes from the movie. My dad thought it was funny. That just made her even more angry.

As an American, I say 'The hangover' (all 3), and Jackass: Bad Grandpa had me rolling. Too damn funny. You guys should have seen Jackass 1,2&3. How about a reaction to war movies in America vs Korea. It's intriguing to see people outside of America watch things we find hilarious.

Sex is Zero was the first Korean comedy that I watched back in early 2000s. It was so hilarious that I made all my friends watch it.

It’s crazy to me people not knowing the premise of Jackass. It was a tv show my older siblings watched when I was a kid. Of course, there was also Viva La Bam and then Punk’d, Impractical Jokers...America makes its comedic money on sketch comedy with unknowing audiences. My favorite comedy films in the US are Madea films and then female comedy films like Bridesmaids, Girls’ Trip, Trainwreck, Sisters, the female Ghostbusters, The Heat.

Spy is just one of the best comedies ever made. It's right up there with Clue, Bridesmaids, and Shaun of the Dead.
