No way. This was a beautiful match. It wasn't a crowd pleasing high point or throwing match. But it was technical brilliance. Especially between two dominant ncaa champs.
So many people complain about the commentary of this match. But at least these guys know about wrestling, which isn't often the case for a televised or webcast wrestling match. I remember one such match in which the commentators called just about every move "a half." For example, one wrestler put an underhook on his opponent and one of the commentators still called it "a half."
They changed the rules so a takedown is not the same points as a push out. A push out is now 1 point and a takedown is 2 points. One of the rule changes which will hopefully SAVE OLYMPIC WRESTLING
Man what a bad time to pull wrestling from the olympics, with so much depth coming into American wrestling. And isn't that really what it boils down to for the "international olympic committee" decision, American viewership?
The referee screwed Howe. Clear takedown of Dake.....2 knees and elbow to wrist of the right hand on the mat has ALWAYS been a takedown...there is no continuation in overtime.
Good match, but the commentators are too sarcastic for a novice when they are primarily there for the novice spectator. Too many inside jokes and stories they don't let you in on. Sounds like 2 young friends sitting on a couch watching wrestling.
7:27 fastest shot & takedown i ever seen

Jake Herburt and Mark Bader are the commentators. You can look up their matches and learn a lot too.
i love these commentators
+Azim Azimy they are annoying squeaky voiced girly men.
Both these guys are some of the world's elite athletes. But man, Kyle Dake is just a BADASS!!! Applause for both Dake and Howe though. Great match.
15 minutes of awesomeness!
12:15 im dying😂the commentators going nuts

that is just my opinion. I like the commentators. the sport needs good commentators.
Jake Herbert with his hilarious commentaries.
By the way can someone explain why a takedown here was for 2 pts?
Well see, they are both exceptional athletes.
Great wrestling match....
I was just watching it and watching it, then when it ended I was like “holy hell I’ve spent 16 minutes watching this video”
Did you get dake and Burroughs?
They changed the rules so a takedown is not the same points as a push out. A push out is now 1 point and a takedown is 2 points. One of the rule changes which will hopefully SAVE OLYMPIC WRESTLING
Nice match
The announcers have this match more credit than it actually deserved. It was a good match but not a HONY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT OVER UNDER!!!
People really dont like Jake Herbert and Mark Bader man lol must like the og crew of Blatnick (RIP), Gibbons, Kessnick, and Johnson
brian moreno?
Kyle Dake!!
I like the commentators too....a little annoying yes but the enthusiasm makes up for it.
Kind of like Dickie V in college hoops.
This was a fucking insane match. god damn.
7:26 too quick for the camera OOOOUCH
more impressive than the fighters is the commentator, top notch
Lol the commentators
Well said PaintedDemon

I do know about wrestling by the way I did the dam sport for 9 years and won state in California my freshman year at 112 this was 2005 btw
15:04 DENIED lol
you have to sit out for 3-4 months
Howe is from my region. Alot of great wrestlers come out of my region.
Have to represent the region! 219! Cant wait for Micic to get in the mix as well. from Highland,Indiana
Coty Anderson Columbus indiana!

well there is mute
hah you're obviously lying because the person who won 112 in 2005 in california won 112 his junior/senior year and won 103 his sophomore year
Nice video and commentary, but lighten up on the humor.
Flo needs to up its commentary game. They need to hire some outsiders.
epic
@ 1515 "You just witnessed HISTORY!! People will be talking about this match FOR YEARS!!!".......Good grief, guys.
Funny thing, as good as this match was, and as good as these guys seem, there is always someone better....Jordan Burroughs.
The referee screwed Howe. Clear takedown of Dake.....2 knees and elbow to wrist of the right hand on the mat has ALWAYS been a takedown...there is no continuation in overtime.
I think he only had 1 knee down, but Howe never covered his hips. I think it was Dake.
Great match, but I had to mute the sound... Wow that was annoying commentary.
Whoever gets the most points will win the match... not.. haha good match
what is your name and from what school did you go to?
nope, Kyle Dake is going to beat jordan Burroughs by the next olympic trials, guaranteed!
yeah those guys were annoying.
commentators are sooooo annoying
Uh, no. Obnoxious. I love the enthusiasm, but a) no screaming, please, and 2) just one commentator at a time, if ya don't mind.
Hate the commentary. Just annoying.
