It's such a pity he never had any children it might have been a saving grace to become a father as many of his contemporarys have said about him he was a good and kind man who always gave respect to those whom he worked with and to any of his fans who would always find him most pleasant and very approachable. Here was a quote from Barry Morse (Lt. Gerard on The Fugitive) from People Magazine (in '90 ten years after Janssen's death) "People come up to me and say that he (Janssen) was on the booze and that's what killed him, I say nonsense!!! David Janssen was the hardest working actor in the history of show business!!!"

@Melanie Jarrett I had read the book that Dani Janssen wrote, and a couple worker told me you're gonna hate it. He was so right. It was all about HER..blah blah. Don't bother to read it. I had read another book about Janssen and I can't remember if the author was Phelps, but it was such a good book. Seems like Dani was all about the money. And the alleged Janssen Gable tie in..didn't notice it until I looked at the ears and voice pattern of Janssen..I was stunned. Janssen's mom said no Gable is NOT the Father, and others have said the same thing (proving Janssen's dad isn't Gable). But it's just too uncanny..the looks, voice.

I remember Actor David Janssen he was a child actor in the 1940s. And starred in motion pictures through out his career n the 1950s to 1980. He is known as Dr. Richard Kimble in the 1960s TV series The Fugitive, and David Janssen also made a movie for TV starring as Harry O in Smile Jenny You're Dead, about a detective on the hunt after a psychotic photographer, which the Harry O detective TV series came from in the 1970s. In the late 1960s he appeared the war movie The Green Berets as a journalist covering the Vietnam war. David Jansen is a good actor for his achievements in motion pictures and TV . They fired Jansen cause he looked 75 years old on tv during harry o run in 1976 even though he was in his mid 40s Freddy Silverman said they needed younger demos and put Charlie angels on. When Charlie’s angels went to number one he was proven right. Coroner said Jansen was believed to have been 85 or 90 upon his death. His internal organs were a fucking mess

According to His autopsy he didn't have any bad liver damage.
There were no drugs of any kind at all in his body.
There were 4, maybe 5 or even 6 things, that killed DJ.
1.) He did not exercise, thus he didn't take care of his health.
    2.) He drank to excess.
    3.) He smoked to excess.
4.) He pushed his wore out exhausted body to preform one project after another. AKA: as a workaholic.
A possible 5th reason would be that his diet was not all that great.
He may have ate a lot of foods that cause high cholesterol.
The 6th possibility that may have contributed to his early demise was that he may have been under a lot of stress due to his marriage.
It was reportedly on the rocks and his last failed marriage was one of the biggest divorces in history. He lost a huge fortune over his last marriage and if he was headed to divorce court again soon he may have been stressed at the possible loss he would be facing.
Combining those 4 or 5 or even 6 things and it will age a person more than their actual years and could cause premature death by way of heart attack.

Covert Action was a movie that he did in 1978 that is used often in the pictures.
Also, City in Fear. A movie he completed before doing High Ice.
There are some TV appearances in the pictures from 1979.
Pictures from the movie Inchon , of which they took out his scenes before the movie came out. Inchon was his very last complete work on screen.

    He aged terribly.
Died at 48 but looked so much older than he was.
I am not doc...but that smoking... Bet it helped age him.
Now doubt it helped finish him.
    Pretty cool guy .
Would love to have chatted with him although we would have bee worlds apart politically. I would have liked that a lot.

@@shadoxhurstvintage9159 The heavy drinking and smoking added to his rugged good looks, and charm. We love the man. Nobody here is condemning him for his habits. However, it's widely accepted, based on medical research that smoking and drinking heavily is really bad for one's health. Chill the fuck out.
