Oh man, what a game this was, Stayed up late at night playing coop with friends. The campaigns were a master piece as well, they need to revive this universe.

And phenomenal two layered fights. Underground and overground at the same time with spells effecting both layers..

It was a great game with multiple races with different power ups. The map had an above ground and below ground cavern map and some spells could be cast from one to the other to decimate towns.
The cinematics for these games are amazing. Wish the story lines were drawn out into movies or series. Very well done.

Помню. Неудобное управление войсками, которые к тому же непослушные, посредственный сюжет, вторичность относительно игр Варкрафт 2 и Старкрафт - третья раса напоминает зергов, погубили (низкие оценки от игровых критиков) проект. Из плюсов - приятная графика; есть там интересная находка: пикинеры убивают огров с одного удара, а огры бьют пехоту так, что та отлетает с одного удара на метр другой: очень зрелищно.

Мне сейчас 25 лет. В прошлом году очень долго искал эту игру, нашёл чисто случайно. Скачал и прошёл, наигрался от души. Никак не ожидал увидеть ролик в рекомендациях в 4к качестве. Игра шедевр для своего времени. Игра моего раннего детства. Россия. Чечня.

А я купил еще новый в обертке лицензионный диск,не знаю зачем,но по кайфу коллекционировать нетронутые диски с крутыми играми.

It is hard to get the game to run on modern computers. I'm not even sure if it's worth the hassle
Don't understand the story too much...Looks like a mainly D&D and Warhammer Grim Dark environment combine...Anyone cares to give a more specific expliation?...
So...gameplay is similar to Warcraft 3. It has an undeground layer or play, where you can send armies under the ground and thus have a front above the ground and below it.
As for story...a new war is between the beasts and the Empire (consisting of humans, elves, gnomes...), while a third faction, The Fallen (imagine dark elves, but also eldrich monsters) plots to get a stone in the mage tower (the Void stone) to change this world to look like its own, terraform it in a way, and the previous two armies must unite to stop this.
It has some lore sprinkled through the missions and cutscenes to flesh out the world a bit, and that's it.
It's DnD, meets a bit of Lord of the Rings.
I must play this again after 20 years 😎

It was one of the best RTS! SC:BW + WC3:FT (original one) and AoE top3 RTS on multyplayer! The best part is, it was something between SC and WC3. You could use soooo many strategies. Fast expo, drops, rush, "muta" rush, "dragon" rush, valkyre rush ect. Soooo many good macro games. And the MICRO, it was perfect. The best mapst were withouth undergrounds when you play online (more fair). Really good game.
And race combos. Falen = Protoss+Zerg+Undead, Beasts = Orcs+Zerg+Protoss and Empire = Human+Zerg+Terran. So many good ideas and really good story.
Im playing SC:BW for over 15 years but AoE is my number 1 all the time.
Sound like a really boring life...

I loved that game, it's such a shame i can't play with it on a modern computer 😭😭😭 It had a interesting story (though quite classic), good gameplay, varied factions... It's like a mix between Warcraft and D&D, Loved it.

@@secdeal Which of these two had multilayered maps, levelling up common units (with different system for each race), wholly different methods of air transport for each race, the opportunity to hotkey multiple groups at once, or handling idle and busy builder units separately when double clicking on one of them?
Que gran juego por el amor de dios... promete mucho el juego el multijugador y las campañas no te fallan en nada una historia bastante interesante de las 3 expanciones con una dificultad que podes probar facil normal dificil si juegas en dificultad maxima cree que te la meten doblada las 3 razas por igual tristemente los desarrolladores de Armies of Exigo Nunca dio para un Armies of Exigo 2 pero al dia de hoy el juego no nunca envejece.

The dialog is horrible, I hope they fix this and the battle sequences with the alien, they seem weak no intensity to the battle. The main characters voice sounds like a whimp too. Other than that the graphics and story seems like it can get far.

Старая ртс. От других отличалась тем, что на карте имелось как бы наложение двух зон, подземелье и поверхность из которых можно было переходить друг в друга, ну и были заклинания, которые от этого отталкивались.
