It is the Fists' homeworld and given that people were allowed the time off for a parade instead of endless toil, it must be a pretty big holy day (like feast of Emperor's Ascension). Plus, the chapter probably views it as a minor time investment in reminding the populace that there's a chapter keep in orbit and they'd better behave. "If we can be arsed to wake up two dreadnaughts for this parade, you bet your boots we'll wake them for a civil disturbance"

Soheyl Mohammad Don't thank us, thank you for making it so fantastic. It's how i've always imagined them walking. Like they're carrying a damn battleship on their shoulders but just grit they teeth and keep marching.
But seriously, we need that point of view of the heretic guardsmen watching the Space Marine charge and listen to the chainsword roar.
I'm buzzing already.
The power armour actually enhances the physical abilities of the marine. They look like they are lumbering because of the restrictions of movement from their battle plate.
I'm genuinely staggered by the quality. This is exactly how I imagined the 40k universe; detailed, grimey, grotesque and beautiful.
How the hell are we supposed to wait for the complete movie after showing us this?!

It's not bad dialogue if it serves its purpose, and Markus' lines tell you a huge amount about him; he's a seasoned inquisitor, he respects his agents, he finds the protocol of judgement tedious and is probably prone to bending the few rules the Inquisition imposes, and he *fucking loves his job*. 😆
You would praise those exact lines delivered by veteran voice actor, without a doubt.
Fact, these unofficial CGI animations even seems to look much better than the official ones. This is awesome man.
It’s the sound design that gets me with the official ones it’s just so bad.. how does a small team of people make better audio than the entirety of games workshop
@@wigligigly3375 Simple. Fan animations are created by people that care. GW, however, does not care, and simply wants to pump out animations as a cash grab. It's why they eliminated all the fan animations and changed their policies of fan animations. Money.
Only the part where there is no dialogue and there is no “inquisitor” himself. In fact, only the part where they show the parade. And you really shouldn't do close-ups of faces when the voice acting doesn't hit the lip sync.

GW is actively dissuading people from popularizing their IP on their behalf. I have never seen any IP owners that do this to their community (aside from Nintendo I suppose)
@@theotv5522 it’s because GW has amassed such an indestructible bastille-like cult following that the people who point out issues are so microscopic in comparison to the majority of the community who worship the IP as much as the Black Templars. And if there are issues the majority doesn’t like, they’ll eventually forget about it next week when a new model drops. Like the ban on fan animations. There was big drama about it when it happened, but now people just don’t care anymore, pretty much totally forgot and happily (blindly) accept Warhammer+. Consumerism at its finest. This is why I left and went to Battletech, CGL actually gives a damn, and ilClan models are coming this year iirc (the most recent era in the lore, 3150s).

Besides, heresy in the upper spire and Imperial Fists parading in the streets are signs that this entire planet is likely to be under siege soon.
I've been a warhammer 40k fan since before DOW1 came out on pc, but watching this felt like I was seeing the 40k universe for the first real time. The marching scene made the hair on my arms stand up lol

honestly dude if you got headphones crank it up all the way and when the dreadnoughts start walking by you actually get to feel/hear the weight of them, its truly a marvel.
TRAVIS HOWRY MUSIC I do hope some big group manages to grasp the potential of making movies about this incredible universe. Hell the action alone involving the multitude of races would be enough to complete 5 movies. Also you defiantly got to respect the people behind this movie, from their website there spending 6 years to make this. And dam i tell ya its defiantly worth the wait.

Marine armour is heavy, yet marines are supposed to move with stealth and with superhuman speed.
The Mk6 Corvus Power Armor is meant to be the best when it comes for stealth-based combat in comparison to other patterns of Astartes Power Armor.
Yeah, I always felt like Space Marines in 40k always just seemed like extra thicc humans, and didn't have the weightiness one would expect them to have. This averted that nicely.
The dreadnoughts marching, the sheer weight and sound of their steps in sync to the beat of the music is amazing.

Why GW hasn't thrown their full support behind this, endorsed it in every way possible, given these guys the official blessing, and offered to promote the fuck out of it and split the money they could make from it is beyond me. The guys making this film are the absolute pinnacle of fan-fiction dedication. If I won the lottery, I'd write these folks a cheque to fund this project simply because awesomeness on this level deserves to be recognized in a big way.
They alredy gave their blessing to Erasmus & CO, however due to legal matters they had to ask him to NOT profit from this (it sucks but it is understandable given copyrigth and IP laws).
Still I think if fans support this short film they may decide to make another CGI film, something GW has been very reluctant to do since the fanbase reaction to Ultramarines, with Erasmus at the head. Time will tell.
Fincarn I'm not talking about the cursory "we won't sue you" he got; I'm talking about full support. "Here's funding, here's support, here's our network of people, here's some fact-checking, and here's a paycheque for doing what we couldn't do properly" kind of support. They should be taking every inch they can to make up for Ultramarines and support a project to replace it for the fan base.

Well after the failure of Ultramarines is understandable that GW just dosent see film making as a worthwhile investment and as good as this short film looks there is no garantee that a larger project would produce a profit, (though to be fair they are letting Aaron Dembski from the Black Library help with the short film, wich is as much support as they have ever given to a fan project)
Still I think this may prove to be a great proff of concept and convince GW to invest in CGI films again.

GW has not funded a project in a long time, Im only speculating ofc, but...
Crowd funding would not work for a feature film, only direct-to-dvd.
(based on some metrics I ran, the most funded got around 10-12mil $ with around 100k backers.
In comparison, Wow-the-movie had a budget of 160mil $)
Running the numbers for main production is easy, but PR, advertisement, cinema release fees, license fees are a complete unknown to me.
This is already better than the Warcraft movie.

Holy fuck. This was beautiful. Everything from the procession to the inquisitorial reunite. I love that there's finally something fleshing out what goes on around the wars of 40k - we've had books but never a movie or clip of it. "Space Marines" was average - this looks better in every single damn way.

Those are games, not movies or clips. Not only that, but they were both focused completely on the combat side of things, with some plot interwoven. This actually shows citizens, imperial houses, citizens, etc, when they're _not_ dead bodies/in a state of total war.
@@unclefiend2138 that gives me a great idea what if total war made a 40k game instead of just an age of sigmar game? like where you had to fight both planetary and space battles and you could use space marines but you could only have one chapter of them per army, you could use multiple chapters but only one type per army and then you would have ad mech, guardsmen, sororitas, psykers and such as other unit types or even as political factions within the imperium kind of like a holy roman empire where you had to make sure if you were playing as the imperium you were the one in control and if you arent there are debuffs depending on who is in control like if its ad mech their units are more expensive and you get less research speed

Newtonia -UO Their entire Legion is based on Terra. Still, that is quite a waste of manpower and time for a space marine.
You can imagine the Imperial Fists doing their practice marches a few months before the ceremony and the Lord Inquisitor shouting "You are NOT in formation! Much Heresy!"
There is no Legion anymore. It is a single chapter and only a single company of 100 Imperial Fist are on Terra.
The main bulk of the Chapter is Fleet based, with their main base of operations being on Phalanx Star fort.
From what I remenber, their is an edict that exist that allow the imperial fist to reform the imperial fist legion at anytime if it is deems necessary for the survival of mankind.
More over If I remember correctly their is 2 thinks the son of dorn like to do... Purge the heretics, and build crazy forteress... So considering, Terra is the craziest mother of all crazy forteress, I think the Imperial fist are more thinking.... "It would be sweet if I can add a golden bunker right next to that alley" :D
You want to talk about wasted potential? The fucking Custodes, the best soldiers of the Imperium, the personal guard and legion of the Emperor himself, not to even mention the 300 Companions and Kitte---The Captain-General of the Custodes. A single company of them (100) would be enough to put the damn smurfs to shame and even the snowflakes would piss their power armor at their presence.
How could you possibly thumbs down this masterpiece?

That are some reasons Ive seen. For me though, this is as perfect as you can get without having a budget of a few millions. This is done for free in their spare time, even if it was half as good it would be more than awesome.

@@_Davepocalypse GW had nothing to do with it. He got sidetracked to other projects which were paid for and since this was done for free it was scrapped.
GW actually have contacted other content creators like the dudes from Hellreach and Astartes to work on official protects

It certainly fits the archetype of Inquisitor we normally see, for sure. The line in the movie provides interesting characterisation for Markus though. Claiming to not know what mercy is helps highlight the sadistic pleasure he is taking in the execution, but the fact that he says "anymore" under his breath is the real kicker; this is wha tells us that Markus is shaken by the terrible truths that one must learn as an Inquisitor, so much so that his moral compass no longer has a grounding.
Had this been developed into a full movie, I would have expected Markus' inexperience to be a major factor in his character arc.

I do love how you really got the Space Marines to march, showing the sheer weight of their armour.
Skeptical Chris Personally I found their movement too clunky. A Marine in Power Armor moves as gracefully as he would without it. That’s the whole point. They gain protection and additional strength without losing mobility and agility.
@@daniel_f4050 Correct. The fact that it is powered armor and that the user is linked to it by way of their implants should make their movement more fluid than the guardsmen preceding them, not less.
The above two comments are correct, however as it is a parade they might be flaunting themselves a bit more, showing their strength by pretending their armour is heavier than it is.

Goodness they absolutely killed it on the architecture, I was always curious about the how architecture would be in the 40K universe but there wasn't much fanart regarding it, but this vid really gave a good picture of how the architecture of the warhammer universe is, hope we can see the buildings of all the other factions in the future! I'd love to see how chaos cities look like!
There are no chaos built cities, the chos worlds are all former Imperial worlds and are either conquered back or at the actual state of lore more likley exterminated. :-) but for the short period of time it depents on the chaos good worshipped :_) (nurgle = Building having tumors and mushrooms all over them) (slaneesh = buildings having boobs) (Khorne = blood,blood and seperated extremeties) tzeench = things youve not imagined so far)
Read some of the gaunts ghost books, than you get a picture of Cities taken by chaos. Especially the book traitor general which is placed on a chaos held worlds and shows how they suppress and convert the populace.
Also, you're mortal mind wouldn't be able to handle true chaos architecture. You'd either be corrupted or go mad without training and devotion of the God Emperor.

I love the world built here as well. It's so intriguing seeing Terra for the first time in clear CGI, right there, like it's real. The mix between old-fashioned, religious, opulent architecture and futuristic metropolis is pretty neat, and this mix between past and future styles is one of the reasons why I love the Warhammer 40k universe.
How annoyed do you think the Dreadnoughts are? Venerated space marines, held at the brink of death yet beyond that which you could call life, entombed in sarcophagi mounted upon holy war machines to deliver justice to the enemies of mankind in return for the right to slumber in painless sleep when not called upon....then they're forced to get up for an inquisitor's parade.
Probably very annoyed. Then again, they get to march on holy terra, which I can only imagine would be a pretty big deal even for them.

I hate to say anything negative because I want a great 40K film as much as anyone, but am I the only one that thinks the inquisitor sort of comes off as a snot nosed brat? I need the inquisitor to be a rugged, scarred up veteran that's been exposed to the horrors of the warp. Not some fussy sarcastic kid with a nasally voice ... otherwise it's fantastic work..
When not in the fiering line newbie Inquisitors and their acolytes are trained to be inconspicious to enable them to infiltrated or at least understand the diffcoulty in doing so and its limitations and advantages, if you are in doubt this is a newbee that have overcome his first hurdles to get the big I emblem. being build like a tank and armored as such does NOT enable you to be discreet.

There are a few "official" movies made by GW. Inquisitor from '95 (its bad, but you can see it on TH-cam) and the Ultramarine movie (which has mixed reviews). GW has been giving out their ip to game companines lately, but I'd be surprised if we ever did see an official GW movie in theaters.

GW is very paranoid. They sued a childs book called Spot the Space Marine. Don't even get me started on the Chapterhouse affair. If they ever did an offical movie, it would probably be very much like the Warcraft movie. And I don't it'd be very good

You're interpretation of the Warhammer 40k universe is excellent. Dystopian, militaristic, claustrophobic... and totally awesome! Give this guy a budget and a studio and there is no telling what he could produce.

The lip sync of the characters was rather iffy, but those shots of those imperial fists and the dreadnoughts during the parade more than made up for it.
Yeah the lip sync is a bit off. Everything else is awesome.
That would make sense if that was the case. I would honestly just watch the movie in German with English subs and I would be totally fine with it if it meant that the lip sync was fixed.
But the movie has a long, LONG way till it ends up getting a full release. I'm sure the final product will have the more glaring issues fixed by then.
Plus I hope we get to see some more Space Marines in the final release. Those animations were fucking god tier!

The facial animations in general are a bit iffy, and there are a few too many meandering shots. But everything else is great.

Man do I ever wish this project had been completed. Erasmus, even if it's not fully polished, I'd be very interested to see what short story you had to tell.
Perfect, aside from two things: The voice acting is subpar ( I understand that this is because this is a non-profit project and due to that fact it is completely understandable) But one thing that can be improved is the facial expressions and lip-syncing. I wouldn't even have been bothered by the voice acting if that was more polished.
Just a bit of constructive criticism, other than that this looks bloody amazing.
That being said, the specific voices I had a problem with were the Inquisitors' and the Target's voices. The inquisitor sounded like he was trying too hard to be snide and the target didn't sound scared so much as being a voice actor in an anime. The other ones were on point.
If I were you I would have the inquisitor sound more serious. It truly marks a character as insidious when they sound just but talk snide, if you catch my drift. Think "Adam Jensen if he was a dick". After all, this is a guy who, though young, has sentenced an immense amount of people to death, you'd think he'd be a bit more jaded, even if he originally took some sick pleasure in it. (Unless you're going for the slaneesh thing with him)
As for the voice actor for the target, he was fine but he just didn't believe it. An old cinema trick for that is to make the voice actor really, really cold. Put him in a very cold bath and make him read the same lines. That stutter will make his fear sound real, as opposed to, well, that.

Agreed, the sound in general stands out among the amazing visuals and animations.
If I'm honest I'm not bothered by the voice of the "inquisitor" in this. For one simple reason: that's not a full inquisitor. A junior inquisitor at best under the lord inquisitor's command, probably a former member of his entourage elevated to the position. And going by what I've seen ... those 3 are point for point recreations of archetypes from the Dark Heresy RPG. The junior inquisitor is a Scum, probably started as a former ganger before he was recruited, the other dude is a former guardsmen or stormtrooper, and the chick is obviously a death cult assassin.
With this in mind, a snide mocking and casual attitude to death and killing people fits perfectly well. This guy was killing people for fun and prestige long before the inquisition recrutied him. And he did it with a smile. I don't imagine beeing given just cause to murder in the name of the holy emperor to preserve the imperium would alter that, if anything it would reinforce his jovial attitude in the face of killing those with less power than him.
You make a good point but I still find the "inquisitor"'s remarks too snide and cheesy. "I don't even know what mercy is anymore" I mean, come on. Of course that is how a full-fledged inquisitor would feel but he wouldn't express it like that. He'd rather feel remorse at the absence of the recognition of remorse than joke about it.

eh, depends. Not all people hold the sanctity of human life in high regard. and not even all 40k inquisitors feel some sort of remorse in killing (Fyodor Karamazov anyone?). When coming face to face with the horros they must defend mankind from, mercy does tend to get exhausted quickly, especialy for those that would betray humanity and the emperor. Some may choose not to show it, others may choose to make a point of their lack of mercy for intimidation.

Some lore explanations
The bald guy on the throne is Torquemada Coteaz, Inquisitor Lord. He is one of the most powerful members of the Ordo Malleus, the Inquisitorial branch tasked with fighting Chaos Daemons. He literally has a personal army (the Imperial Guard marching are probably form his personal armed forces).
He is being given a triumph on Terra, which is a major honor, probably on the aftermath of the destruction of a major chaotic threat either on Terra itself or a major planet. The Imperial Fists likely helped in that task. The servitors pushing the barge are probably survivors of the purge condemned by Cotaez sentenced to become servitors. Having them push the barge is a symbol of the triumph of imperial power over the cult they belonged it.
Markus, is an Interrogator, a cadet Inquisitor, and thus a junior member of the Inquisition. He is likely one of many interrogators Coteaz employs, and likely a minor one. Interrogators can come from any walk of life, and can be of any age. Markus is probably either hiver or someone from a civilizes planet. He is young, brash, sadistic, and arrogant, but so are some full inquisitors.
Kayva is a Death Cult assassin, and other guy a IG veteran. They are acolytes in the service of Cotaez seconded to Markus for this task.
In all probability the anchorite (the perp) is either high level member of the Officio Administratum, the powerful bureaucracy of the Imperium, or a highly ranking lay person of the Ecclesiarchy (from the Greek concept of Archon). On Terra this also means a scion of a powerful house of Terran nobility.
My guess is that Markus was tasked to take care of a loose end from the larger investigation - purge conducted by Cotaez. I assume he was not a direct member of the cult, but provided it with material support from Terra using their central position. A heavy crime in the Imperium, one doubly so for being done by a member of the Terran elite. I do not know if Markus unearthed the connections, or was just given the task by Cotaez. What is interesting is that Cotaez decided to do this while he was on Terra. He probably expected the archonite to have powerful protection or support and wanted to make sure it was done while his personal presence greatly enhanced his authority. On the other hand, sending a small team, and a junior interrogator probably indicates he wanted this done quickly and with little fuss.

Lets take a few moments to appreciate the quality of this intro scene.
There are several strong contrasts that immediately paint a powerful picture of the Warhammer world. The opening parade sequence shows how the throne world of the human empire is engulfed in a highly religious, militarized and oppressive society. The scene of marching soldiers and warmachnies, supported by the clergy is direct, aggressive and overbearing.
The camera then shifts away from the dark rural districts and the sound of military march. There are clear skies and the breaking dawn. Soothing images of sacral architecture bathed in sunlight, as the music becomes a relaxing but fitting gregorian chant.
Finally, inbetween all of this, we see glimpses of the interior of a house of a Terra nobleman. His dwelling is filled with all other manner of luxury, hand-crafted decorations, portraits, antique furniture. A position of privilege and decadence in stark contrast to the harshness and misery of the outside world.
Without using a single word, the author present a direct and strong vision of the Warhammer world.
And all this is just a setup for the main character of this trailer, the Inquisitor. His callous cynicism and blatant sadism - as extraordinary as they are - fit perfectly into the hypocritical and oppressive society of the Imperium.
All in all, a well connected, well presented series of powerful images. My only (minor) critique would be the character animations that seem a little stiff. Apart from that, the movie looks better than most sci-fi stuff coming from hollywood, I can't to see it finished.

The thing about the mentality from the Dark Ages people seem to forget is that it's disingenuous. Whenever an inquisitor sentences an accused heretic to death, 90% of the time it's because they were a threat to the powerful or the inquisitor themselves.

Seeing this CGI made me realize something...how come there hasn't been a decent-budget live-action Warhammer 40k movie? From what I know, there's only been a CGI movie before.

Because instead of making very enjoyable video games and films, Games Workshop seems content with keeping their most popular franchise to mainly the board game version.
It's a lot easier to use CGI for Warhammer though. The prop cost, especially for any big scenes, would be through the roof. Not to mention there would still be tons of background CGI to fill out the areas. It honestly is worth it to just stick to CGI and make it all animated.
Apart from slight lip sync, this clip was perfect. I would like a little more gore though, seeing the noble get blown to bits would have made the scene a lot darker and serious.
We will see.. IF the WOW movie gets a sequel.. then we will be seeing more CGI movies

Just seeing those imperial fists and dreadnoughts walk made me so incredibly happy. The person that animated this REALLY knows how to put weight and OOMPH to a step. Exactly what you need for a space marine, or a hulking dreadnought. Sound design, animation, style and general quality of models/texture was excellent. Lip sync, however, appears to be a bit off, sadly. But other than that, fantastic.

I used to like lore in games like Warcraft/Starcraft, Elder Scrolls, etc. Then I found out about Warhammer 40k and now I'm like fuck that old lore. Warhammer 40k is so bad ass. So much to read. So many Space Marine Chapters, etc. For me its almost like lore overload. This movie is going to be so fucking bad ass. I wish you had higher budget and manpower.
The lore killed me when I learned the Drop Pods used by the Astartes smack into the ground at almost Mach 16.

I remember when I saw, for the first time, the intro to DOW1. I think back on it now, little did I realize that it would be my beginning into 40k. Even today, I watch that intro, with goose bumps, and now I see this. I feel like an imperial priest, who saw the light of the emperor more then a decade ago, being allowed to see the golden throne. Question that needs to be dearly answered. Can I pay you to put this in cinema's all over the world? Your animation is amazing. And all you people who complain about the voice acting. Remember that UltraMarine movie that was made and I think animated by people from GW. Look at this God's work. Look at it. Who gives a fuck about Voice Acting and Lip syncing. This is WAY better than that fucking movie about the UltraSmurfs.
Keep in mind, there is nothing wrong with giving us feedback. It comes with the opinion of people, we know the IP and our fans pretty well *(I think our dislike vs like count shows that a bit) we like to respect them, and that means taking criticism for future improvements head on.

Very pretty. I love the animation. I love the parade. I love the look of everything. But yeah, I think the Inquisitor looks a little odd and he also doesn't come off as "hard", but as a brat. That may be intentional and he might have to learn things to grow and mature as an inquisitor, but he's the focus of the whole prologue. He's the only character we see and he lacks the zeal, dedication, fanaticism, faith, cynicism, callousness, etc. etc. that you see in many inquisitors. He's not charismatic and it weakens the otherwise epic nature of the animation. Beautiful stuff, otherwise.
He could have simply said:
"Mercy?
Well certainly my lord, none has ever been denied the Emperor's Mercy..."
That would have been leaner and classier in my opinion...
Okay, maybe 2 years late, but just to put it quick and simple - The Inquisitor is seen on his throne in the parade itself, surrounded by guardsmen, religious zealots and even Space Marines. He's in no way the "focus" of the whole prologue, he's only seen for a very short period of time.
The guys killing off the "traitor" are an assassin (probably Callidus, but could also be just a member of another death cult), a guardsman in service of the Inquisitor and an inquisitorial agent, probably not even a candidate for the position of Inquisitor, looking at his equipment and behavior.

Music was incredible, as was the art, cinematography, cgi etc. animation in general felt a little off though, not just the lip syncing. Alas, this makes me so excited for the future, this is probably the best rendition of the 40k universe thus far, incredible work.

Sure, I probably should have been more specific actually because in general animation is good but the things that are bad make things seem really awkward and ruin the flow.
1. At 1:13 when the guardsman and assassin are face on with the camera (I believe he's a guardsman) the guardsman has a weird shake when he comes to a rest after walking on scene. This is also the beginning of (and arguably the most glaring) fault with lip sync
2. The inquisitor at the same time frame also has pretty bad lip syncing.
3. 2:14 The inquisitors walk looks really weightless and jerky, not sure if that's supposed to be his gate or what
4. At 2:30 this continues, but from a different perspective (you used the same animation cycle I'm guessing?)
5. The birds at 3:20 have a very obvious loop to their wing flapping animation, you can see where it doesn't quite overlap resulting in a very minor skip between each cycle
6. 4:14 the same weird walk cycle.
7. 4:22 his hand clearly doesn't even touch the vase yet it gets knocked over, it almost looks as if his hand is hovering a centimetre or so above it. The inertia of his hand also seems a little strange, whilst I don't know the weight of the vase, it seems as though he's using next to no strength to move it. Whilst it's also not an animation issue, the sound of the vase breaking sounds like it was taken from a royalty free website or something, it sounds really out of place.
8. 4:31 The inquisitors facial expressions here look really strange, I get that he's supposed to be an arrogant smirking bastard, but his features look almost comical, exaggerated if you will.
9. 4:33 His eyes slightly squint and then...? Don't really understand what's happening here.
10. 4:53 This one is a little subjective, obviously you're trying to convey the lumbering gate of wearing power armour, however according to Warhammer lore;
"The suit would be heavy and cumbersome to wear but for the electrically motivated fibre bundles within the armour that replicates the wearer's movement and enhances his strength beyond its already considerable superhuman baseline (for Space Marines)." Which sounds as though they wouldn't need such exaggerated movements in order to move. Reading a lot of the warhammer fluff from the various books and Codexes (obviously fluff and to be taken with a grain of salt), space marines (particularly those from the Alpha legion who mainly operate with subterfuge and stealth) need a lot of mobility and fluidity in movement. So I find it a little strange that they're walking (marching) like that.
11. 5:07 the guardsmen march looks a little strange, almost a little 'too' robotic. Yeah, I get that they're supposed to be synchronised in formation, but humans have inertia to their limbs, bounce slightly when they walk etc. This is not really a standout issue though, just a minor oddity.
12. 5:40 He barely nudges him with the shotgun and the guy keels over as if the impact was massive.
13. 5:58 More issues with lip syncing, as well as any facial movements from Marcus and the guardsman during this entire dialogue.
14. 6:13 What is Marcus doing with his face? Is he smacking his lips? Trying to say something? I don't understand.
15. 7:15 For someone who fears for his life, and has just been shot, he doesn't look particularly scared nor in pain
16. 7:26 I get that you're trying to flip him over with his boot, but it looks as though he rests his boot for half a second and takes it away. I think there needs to be more weight, force and follow through. The bloke in purple is on the heavy side, and it would take quite a bit more force than that to flip him over.
17. 7:34 What is Marcus doing with his right hand throughout this sequence? It moves from to the right side of the purple blokes face to the left, and it doesn't appear to be doing anything other than hovering just next to it and occasionally... stroking it?
4:43 is easily my most favourite part of this whole thing, the censers swinging coupled with the slave driven floats is so fucking cool. I hope you don't see this as a personal attack or anything, I really really loved this prologue and I'm really impressed, you're 90% there, now for that final 10% :P
The walking animation on the two characters at 2:02 and a few seconds ahead are a good example, they seem to jerk around a bit when walking, especially the guy on the left, like the framerate drops significantly or something. The animation of the imperial fists in the parade is perfect, though.

I think the Lord Inquisitor was the older guy who got a text on the float in the parade. This dickweed Marcus comes across more as an Interrogator, though they call him Inquisitor. I assume they have some reason for making him so unlikable.
The inquisition have had many born Into their ranks, some even bribing their way in. The Empire of the holy Emperor of Mankind will use anyone up to the task,

+Viktor Vikeyev if he is capable, yes. Although he could be centuries old due to surgery and such, as he says to the older man, who was 400 years old. Space marines look around 30 usually, but some live up to 800, iron studs on their foreheads indicate 50 years, although some remove them, but they usually seal their helms tight and are shunned by their chapter.
