What is the name of the adaptor that you attached to the drain to connect to the shut off valve at 0:24 ?

I assembled the adapter out of readily available PVC couplings and a 1/2" brass nipple. Then use a flexible supply line just like a sink.

What did you do to fix leak?

Cut out the leaking union and replaced about an 18" section of pipe, then used two unions.
