The thing they didn't mention is that there's a wine bar in the back where they're interviewing the owner. You can drink a bunch of house wines and serve yourself. They charge based on the honor system and each cup was about $2-$3 USD. Really awesome spot in Florence.

@@aransin167 they're constantly increasing it, it used to be €5 but now some sandwiches go up to €9. I'm never eating there ever again. As a local I recommend the "I' Ritrovino di via dei Servi" instead, sandwiches are a fair price, and just as good. Maybe even better.

Italy's culinary is overrated af. Visit Asian places once, the experience will be redefined for you. India, Pak, Afghanistan, etc best food you can have after probably Korea. Probably.

It is also very varied, you have probably never tried real Italian food, or possibly you have only tried pizza or pasta in America, which is not even real Italian food. Because Asia is a very large continent, where many cultures do not have in common with others that are very different, such as the culture of the Middle East with the Chinese or Thai culture.

I was here in March of 2019. As a fellow study abroad student in Florence this was our go to spot! It was so cheap and affordable on a budget. It filled us up and having free wine was legendary. So worth it! Glad they made a video about it
I didn't know this was such a famous place but my friend and I went after seeing the queue and wondering what the buzz was about. The sandwiches were delicious, beautiful fresh ingredients, the very best. Generous portions and great value. The service was really friendly and fast. We had some wine in there too, as it was a bit cold outside. They also had this beautiful old Florentine paper - I think on some boxes - behind the counter, with a brown fleur de lis pattern on it. it's a classic Florentine design. It was a paper I had never managed to track down in London but had been looking to buy before I went to Florence. And the boxes had my name on it! It was a bit surreal. Anyway, I'll always remember my visit.
I went to florence last year ,and we accidentally stumbled upon the shop ,and had probably the best sandwich ever ,also I think I stumbled upon it on a slow ish day .
Went here for breakfast and didn't have to wait, walked by maybe an hour later and the line was down the street. I can remember the crunch of the bread still.
Fast forward to present day and All’Antico Vinaio has inaugurated its opening in NYC a few days ago. Don’t know if it’s fully comparable to the original one in Firenze, but there was quite a huge queue from the get-go! A little piece of Tuscan cuisine in the US, for Americans to taste. Couldn’t be any happier about this! 🇮🇹
My fiancé and I went to the one in NYC. It’s amazing. I’ve never been to Florence, but she has and she said it was nearly as good as the one she had there.

they just opened a shop near port authority in NYC! Le Favolosa was INCREDIBLE. The line was insanely long, but it moves quick! definitely worth the wait. this was hands down one of the best sandwhiches I have ever had in my life!
I was there in June 2019 a local seller recommended this place. The line was long but I had the lampredotto it was so good and the bread was so fresh nothing like it! I would like to go back to try the Florentine steak some other time but this sandwich shop is a must when you visit Florence😘

A friend just brought me a Favoloso from his Italy vacation back to Germany. It was already 10h old but still better than any sandwiches here in ger and one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The consistency of salami was outstanding 😍😍

There's certain cultures that when you order food they really give you food that can sustain you the whole day by volume. I love that huge sandwich, very unpretentious and yet has very high quality ingredients. The bread reminds me of an Afghan bread but raised more thicker.

the best sandwich I have ever had. You cant really compare it to anything . The sheer delight of standing the line 30 mins before it opens. probably the first thing I will do as soon as the borders re-open

The bread is everything, you can have the best meats and cheeses and everything else but if the bread isn’t good the sandwiches will suck.
