Only owners to take out dividends, putting a banker friend In charge of the club, who then puts his friends In top positions. Treating United like a personal piggy bank, our academy slowly went down, our stadium and training facility have gone down, and we slowly eroded away. Until they couldn’t afford to do those things and it was no longer an ATM machine, but something they needed to invest In…then and only then did they sell some of the club. The Glazers do not like Manchester United, it’s just a piggy bank over the pond. Not listening to others now complain when it happens to them if they were not complaining while we suffered.

Youth players represent the quickest way to bring any clubs finances to within the parameters of legality and sustainability. 100m for those two academy graduates would be amazing work from CFC. @@Cengert1979 we’ve had so many injuries so we haven’t been able to our best XI for starters but gusto, nkunku, if you actually watched Chelsea throughout the season, anyone with eyes could see how good Caicedo was for us. We had Jorginho for about 5 years, he was a good servent but the fact you’ve even mentioned nearly winning the balon D’or is hilarious as everybody knows that award is based off of what a player has won as opposed to how good they are, Carvajal will probably get top 5 this season😂

@@Cengert1979 I think there were certain individuals in that squad that are definitely missed but unfortunately went, for example not being able to resign rudiger and having to sell Kante due to his injury history, but players like Werner, Ziyech, and tbh even Havertz through 75% of his time with us was poor and I feel we’ve replaced them all well!. Also Boehly took a massive back step in terms of transfers after the first two windows, which is definitely for the best😂 I think you’ll see a much more controlled version of Chelsea this season, last season wasn’t amazing but it was entertaining as hell as every game was utter chaos, now we look a much more controlled, possession based side

Youth players represent the quickest way to bring any clubs finances to within the parameters of legality and sustainability. 100m for those two academy graduates would be amazing work from CFC. Amazing work. And I truly believe that soon, you will happen upon a manager that can take the young players you've bought and can make CFC a contender

We had a lot of injuries last season and weren't far off top 4 . Rory is off his nut ... He was saying how shit cucurella was . Look at him now. These boys need time . Soon as we put Palmer as a number 10 instead of Gallagher we won all our games . Gallagher isn't a great player or a starter if everyone is fit. Chalobah is decent but nothing special . Give the French centre backs time . What Chelsea are doing is exciting . They've made mistakes but they will get it right . Have faith .

Since the 90s, there have been two Chelsea academy products who actually made it to the first team AND was as good as any player we bought in similar positions they played. John Terry and Le Saux. Why is Rory talking like we were promoting great talents from academy to first team before Roman or during Roman, why must it be the case now?
The thing is Chelsea over the last 15 /20 years have always loaned out and sold their top youngsters , but it was to fund their success, well to atleast balance the books to go with Romans funds. They just happen to be buying young too rather than adding mid 20s players to the team

People love to blame Pep for the decline of football but what they fail to understand is that most of the big owner have ruined football. Chelsea are no longer elite, Bayern are questionable, United are no longer elite, Dortmund aren’t elite, Barca aren’t elite, AC Milan, Juve, Roma, Lyon, Monaco, etc… so many of these clubs have been ruined by their owners, Madrid and City are the only clubs that would compete with peak football (2000s and 2010s).
Chelsea’s spine could’ve been cemented by now… something like:

Abraham
That’s excluding players like Rudiger who were elite and could’ve still been in that spine but Chelsea would’ve effectively had 1 billion to spend on the other 5 positions, imagine the team they could’ve built…
Guehi, Mount and Abraham are simply not good enough to play for Chelsea

I think the issue isn't that Chelsea are selling youngsters. They were selling youngsters even when they were winning league titles and UCLs. The issue is that they selling first team members and replacing them with players who aren't as good. I don't particularly think Chalobah or Gallagher are words class players, but they're undoubtedly 2 of the best players Chelsea had last season. Chelsea are keeping the players who they need to sell, and selling the players they need to keep. Because of the poor business decisions they've made. They're stuck with Enzo Fernandez and Fofana for 8 years.

Chelsea are literally playing football manager. Which is fine as long as after 2/3 loans they get a chance. It works if you have the same manager for like 3/4 seasons and if you replace them you need a manager of the same style.

When Wenger committed Arsenal to building The Emirates, he was planning to compete in a financial market that Roman Abramovich completely changed forever. (Not for the good of the game imho) Although I respect that Abramovich brought success to Chelsea, it gives me joy to see what is currently happening at Stamford Bridge given the affect Chelseas success had on my club.
