One of the only F15 videos where you get the full start up growl/high pitched howl and old British Leyland starter motor working overtime, symphony! Beautiful music. 1994, just 3 years after the gulf war. I saw these jets fly at Lakenheath around this time. Now I feel old😞😅
Back when the 300 series was new--- that's some funny shit, never seen them so dam clean before. I laughed my ass off when yall had to kiss 3000psi--- if it aint a mile in the white before you start up, your gonna be pumpin jakk! nice safety violation when you took a short cut under the lt mlg door at the end lol. Its been years, Always wondered what happened to 304--- camera showed a few other ghosts in the background too-

Yes. I left in 96 as well. Made many good friends. Cried the day I left Lakengrief. Never had those close friendships in the States.
I love the sound of the APU as it spools up and when it howls as the aircraft engine powers up
Great video. Thanks for posting this. A superb reference for scale model makers.
Your video led to my AF husband and I telling stories of our times and bases before we met.
+Girl600 Show That's awesome, invoking those memories. It was the same for me too, for the State side bases are definitely less connected
awesome that you had that video with the same plane
I saw the pictures of the downed aircraft and realized I might have footage, which I coincidentally did.
334th SJAFB crew chief, thanks for the memories!
I was in Basic. Got there a few months later. Security Police 1994
+Girl600 Show Sweet. We were there at the same time, PCS'd in '96. Maybe brushed by each other on the flight-line or the gate :)
I bet the entire sortie took less time than the start up! I hope the air superiority version didn't take this long to get airborne.
thanks for the upload
