The Series:
The Vegan Roadie is the original vegan travel culinary series. Chef Dustin Harder has criss crossed north America highlighting vegan cuisine talking with chef's and business owners since 2014. Dustin is the host and creator of the show, backed by his personal experience as a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute, private plant based chef, restaurant recipe developer and cookbook author. Before starting a career in the culinary arts Dustin worked in theatre and television for 15 years.
Dustin's first cookbook "The Simply Vegan Cookbook" will be out in February 2018.

Philly is one of the best vegan food cities I have ever had the opportunity to travel. Vedge is my favorite vegan restaurant!
Also, you should consider checking out Columbus, Ohio - we may not be at Philly, NYC, or Portland level yet, but we are getting new all vegan and vegan-friendly options all the time.

Kelly, many of them are walk-able if you are centrally located near City Hall or Rittenhouse Square. I got around entirely by train, bus, Uber, or for the most part: walking. yay Philly! I feel so spoiled to be a vegan living in Philly. We have the best vegan restaurants!
You really don't need a car in Philly if you're staying in Center City. Most vegan restaurants are in Center City and you can walk to most of them. Vedge, Wiz Kid, and Charlie Was a Sinner are all in Center City, as are many other great places not named in this video, and you can walk to all of them. Ms. Rachel's Pantry and The Tasty are both in South Philly. It would be quite a long walk to get to these, but both of them are in walking distance to the Broad Street subway. They are also both a quick and cheap Uber or taxi ride away. Hope you enjoy your trip!

I'm clueless on what part of town, or neighborhood name, I should keep in mind when looking for an Air BnB so that I can be close to some interesting nightlife and, of course, your suggestions in this video! Vedge isn’t worth it. You need to go to BLACKBIRD PIZZERIA, their wings, their cheesesteak pizza, cheese fries, and Caesar salad all need to be tried

Dustin! That iron brought so many recollections, mainly political - social - cinematic, into my humble aging brain… Mostly from the 1990-s (if we talk about the society) when irons were, reportedly, used as the weapon of torture in racketeering / extortion. Also those scenes were featured in quite a few movies, also (pardon my tautology) in the USA ones, mostly narrating on the epoch of the 1930s… Who could have thought and fancied that this hot fearsome tool could be used for gourmet cooking? Who could have thought???
By the way, if we briefly mention the cinema, have you watched “Radin!” by Fred Cavaye with Dany Boon released in 2016? It is so hilarious!!! I watched it about three weeks ago and hadn’t have such a great laugh for quite some time.

The new season will be out February 13th and was filmed in Italy, hope you will watch! As for aluminum, can't please everyone, if you watch more you will see every recipe is different.
+The Vegan Roadie yes Aluminum is def no good for health but I'm sure those that know (or don't know but now will know) will simply change to cooking modality to all in a pan!! :D

Yes. EVERYTHING featured on this show the VEGAN roadie is absolutely 110% vegan. Always.
How could you do a vegan Philly bit without visiting Blackbird Pizzeria?!? It's much more a vegan Philly staple than Miss Rachel's. Also, the owner of Charlie was a sinner uses the same fake meatballs that you can buy at whole foods. She uses them in her other restaurants too, someone please call her out on this already!

I promise you, Philly has the BEST vegan food I have ever had! I’m lucky enough to have family there, and I can always find just about anything and everything to eat while I’m there.
