This scene gives me goosebumps man. You can just see how many centuries go back, and note the garb change.
The interchanging of Dane, Nordic, Frisian and Angle dress is pretty cool
I saw this at a Frat House once.
So less than a year ago?
@@FatalShotGG I was really drunk. Could have been a year, maybe, last week.
@@rickbar123 fitting place and story
I saw this at a playdate.
@@rickbar123 Just drunk?

Father and Son bonding moment... Viking style.
Can beat tripping balls while your dad and his buddy spit some knowledge at you.
Just getting stoned with Pa.
Only criticism I have of this movie is that there wasn't enough Willem Da Fool
lol
4:29 u can see wolf on the tree in the background in human shape, so amleth has some kind of wolf blood in him that's why hes Ulfhednar
I see it, thats a cool detail
There's alot of canine stuff in this movie - were vikings big on wolves?
@@hansolo631 yes they were, Berserkers were bear warriors they would wear bear skin and had characteristics of bear, Then there was Ulfhednar wolf skinned warriors wich were considered one of the best viking warriors, that ritual scene is done so well it shows what kind of dangerous and crazy men this two types of warriors were, Harald of Norway had them as bodyguards
That's Dogman!
@@Ulfhednar1993 which Harald?
1:28 genuinely good advice
It’s actually an excerpt from the Havamal which is said to be the words of wisdom from Odin
The music is so hype at the end it can’t get more Viking
I just watched this tonight and was absolutely mindblown. Truly epic, a masterpiece in my opinion
4:30 there’s a werewolf in the tree.
the first furry..........
What the ancient people called as magic was actually just them trippin balls.
Maybe what we call trippin balls is actually magic
That was pretty intense
Not a movie for everybody, it requires a superior soul to be appreciated.
lol yea ok your soul is better because you like a particular fictional movie
@@evocati6523 Amleth epic is more real than you
@@carlomagno7092 it’s fake dude lol
@@evocati6523 it is yes
Yggdrasil 🌳
Family trees are usually much less intense
Getting strong Mandy vibes
I'm the king of the trees, I need them
My dad used to make me and my sister do this. Mom can't know
huh, is there a Roman officer in that tree? on the left in the crested helm?
1:45
Was the fart really necessary?
They acted that way to humble themselves, humility is important when learning a lesson
@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 nice that makes sense
super necessary
Can anyone ID the helmet at 4:31? Looking to see what culture it could have come from and possibly have some sort of reproduction done of it.
This has to be my favourite movie, it really feels like a true telling of an old fable, like one that my bedstefar would tell me.
Possibly Roman or Vendel Period
Most likely Saxon
@trashboat7267 are you sure? I know they did boar crests but I don't know of any that are more than a small boar motif, as opposed to a full crest.
I think it looks more like some sort of Roman ridge helmet than anything else, but it's hard to tell with the lack of focus. Aside from the very pronounced ridge and crest it bears some similarity to the Saxon Coppergate helmet. I'm not sure if the horsehair crest is well attested with late Roman styles. Lots of Roman goods, including arms and armor, were procured by Germanic peoples through trade or plunder during the migration period and the basic patterns would influence most of Europe.
Its a late roman ridge helmet, the forerunner to the vendel helmets
Take a puff then watch it again.
Creepy lol
This scene was bizarre
There’s pretty good evidence of Odinic wolf cults. Associated with ancestor worship. I loved this scene.
@@jaxn13 There are people who can bring the animal spirit. I've seen it.. I've done it.
Not to go into details.. But, I've been out in the middle of the night, only to realize it wasn't a dream.
I wake up naked, covered in mud, barefoot, scratched up.. With thoughts and memories of a dream running on 4 legs. Only to find evidence it may have been something more than a dream. Muddy cut feet.. Now how did that happen?
@@RIFFRAFF104 did you take any psychedelic drugs like they did in this vidoe?
@@jaxn13 all the way back to the proto-indo-european days. Dog/wolf religious connotations are very well attested. Very very ancient. Also the ideas of ancestral worship, blood-ties, familial honor. This is obviously dramatized and "personalized" for Hollywood but not at all out of line with the kinds of initiation rites, the formal transference from boyhood to manhood, that so many of our ancestors would have had intimate knowledge of.
