Great reaction, really great. I feel the same when her voice sounds like an electric guitar almost. What a Queen she is this shield maiden of folk rock.
I think I was one of those, who suggested this to you. I usually do, and I also warns people, they'll get the chills (in a good way). You did, and I'm glad, you liked it. Btw., I've seen several people write, that Eivør is a Kate Bush wannabe, just because she sounds like her. How Ridiculous. But anyways, if she is one, she's a hell of a good one. Just take a listen to Kate Bush singing Hounds of Love. Then listen to Eivør's interpretation. If you think Kate does it better, I'll question your sanity. I think Eivør's version has way more feeling to it, and is just in general better. And yeah, Eivør on some cases sounds like Kate, but she can also sound quite different. In many different ways.
regarding danish bands i need to mention agnes obel. be it the live sessions from berlin with the songs the curse or dorian, or any other live performance, for example familiar or her hauntingly beautiful music videos.
you really should listen to anna von hausswolff. pick her album dead magic, put on your headphones and dive into the first three songs of that album. she is brilliant, both musically and vocally and i'm hundred percent sure that you'll like it. she has her own approach to music, a genre on her own and still you can really feel what her background is. if you are more up for a live song, pick "stranger" live. absolute underrated artist from sweden
@@stever7732 i find this term a bit misleading, because her music is not pop music at all. is it post metal? but yes, she calls it herself funeral pop sometimes. funny girl! have you listened to her songs in collaboration with mikael karlsson? she recorded some pieces for the royal swedish ballet and the nobel peace price. how many more of these, they hoped for a name, courage and armends. completely different from her other material. glad you like her!
The drummer kinda lost it there in the end, but that is passion for ya :) Eivør is not human :) And I think you ment "Since I don´t have you" covered by Guns n Roses. Eivør makes her own songs btw.
and you really need to discover the beautiful voice of susanne sundfor from norway. her songs are really beautiful and this girl can sing, too. one of my favourit songs by her is when the lord. it was the leading title for a documentary about the norwegian fotographer lene marie fossen. i have listened to this song a thousand times and watched the video a thousand times but it crushes my heart evry single time again. this song will leave traces for sure: th-cam.com/video/1oWFCkcdmZI/w-d-xo.html another beautiful song is the brothel live at cigalle th-cam.com/video/eGcC0ev7Gcs/w-d-xo.html check her out, she truly deserves it!
Please react to Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything (Black Symphony, Rotterdam, 2008) th-cam.com/video/JRa8ZrEnjmk/w-d-xo.html . Great performance too.

It's beyond great gig in the sky. Eivor is a vocal giant and the greatest singer on the planet. Recording studios do nothing for her.
Definitely has that old school vibe to it, such a beautiful song. She is an absolute Goddess!
Thanks for doing that one. I knew you would like it.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
this flawlessly performed elegance and vocal brilliance is just too good! absolute underrated song in my humble opinion
Just saw her with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and have tickets for her in Goteberg in a small club setting in Oct 👍
imagine, she epulls that out of her hat at the end of a whole concert. and she is not even a tiny bit sweaty or exhausted.

Holy shit you referenced Pink Floyd and you are bang on. I knew that part sounded familiar from somewhere
This song and sound i see in one of Tarantino movies. Old timeless vibe instrumentation has to it.

I discovered Anna recently and like her music, which she and others have described as funeral pop.
