    At the start it's not going to be a quick one. Under 19 minutes!!!! You do make me laugh! Well done. A great run

    I was born round the corner 63yrs ago and played in that park as a kid. Nice stadium there (MCFC). and Velodrome of course. Oh and amazing people.😜👍

      Apparently the velodrome is on the site of Man Utd's first ground

    What? Asphalt! Luxury. Get down to Fletcher Moss in Didsbury, Manchester. Punishing hills and plenty of mud! Great video! Thanks.

      Yea, I don't know who told us it's the toughest parkrun in Manchester. They were having a laugh!! Thanks David!

      @@FilmMyRun Really great that you're making these videos. Excellent work.

      Fletcher Moss is pretty easy. Burnage is fairly difficult and nice route too.

    Great to meet you! Don't worry, we have some harder parkruns than that! You've just not looked hard enough!
    Hopefully I will bag a 16 not a 17 next time I get back to Philips Park!

      Hey Ollie, great work! Good to meet you.....16....17 I mean they're all just numbers. What have you got coming up?

    • @DistractedNumber
      @DistractedNumber ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FilmMyRun they are all just numbers!… and we all live by them 😂
      Nothing on the books for me at the moment. I have my final two accountancy exams to sit in the next few months so once they are out of the way, running can commence properly! 😁
      What about yourself?

      Which parkruns are harder in Manchester?

      @@languageoffootball Lyme park is about 12 miles south of Manchester and is a really tough one about 200+ meters of gain through the 5k!
      Little bit further (18 ish miles) is Watergrove in Rochdale. Not done that yet but it’s apparently a beast on a par with Lyme.
      Closer in, to my knowledge Bramhall is intermediate I’d say, with woodbank being tougher but not as hard as Lyme.
      Woodbank is flat with one mega steep hill you have to do twice and it’s a hard ascent, like combining both Philips park climbs!
      Bramhall is undulating, has mixed footing and narrow paths so is challenging for other reasons!
      Sorry if that’s info overload, hopefully it helps you a little.
      There’s more round Manchester (I mainly know south Manchester) I’d chuck Oldham in there as a good one slightly further north, pretty hilly but fast in sections, really enjoyed that!

      @@DistractedNumber ah yes I know a few of them but none of them are in the Manchester conurbation so Philips Park is up there with Heaton Park. Burnage is fairly tough too but think that bit down near the rugby club is technically Stockport.

    Simply would not be the same without your tag line.
    Just like your running, good to be consistent.

      Well precisely!

    most of the Manchester ones are very flat indeed, so if Philips Park has some inclines it may well be one of the difficult ones along with Heaton. However, expanding to Greater Manchester, then Watergrove is by far the toughest!

    • @FilmMyRun
      @FilmMyRun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't know when I'm up in Manchester again but Watergrove it is next time!! I was going to try Heaton Park as that looks almost flat on the videos I've seen, but clearly not!
