@@JGibbs Do you think the ZV1 is worth getting for 90% talking head videos? I'm currently using a camera that isn't quite as good. My lighting has to be fairly bright to get rid of noise, wondering if the ZV1 would be able to do a little more clarity in lower light. I like that lens mod too...
@@TheCarGuyOnline So as an example go back on the channel to when I first got the Zv1. I used it for all my talking head shots up to the point of getting my 90D. I think it can do it well however the low light is not an i deal situation for the Zv1 but it can handle it decently.
This lens is a game changer for the ZV-1. Feels nice and secure on the camera and there's no noticeable picture distortion like some generic lens kits have. Plus, I don't know if it's actually possible, but there are threads on the lens that hint at the possibility of combining NEEWER's 62mm lens filters. Looks like the threads on the lens aren't "twist" treads, but more adjacent threads to secure the lens protector cap, but if it's possible, it's an even greater bonus for this accessory. Thanks for reviewing this for everybody, brotha! Wish I had stumbled on this a month ago when I couldn't find any good example videos cause this was exactly what I was looking for.

Plus the quality is not lost. I have been eyeing the Ulanzi Wide Angle lens. What I like about the Neewer lens there is no adhesive sticker to put on like Ulanzi.
Yep quality is still there. Yea that was the reason I went for the neewer. I think about the fact that sooner or later the adhesive will give out on the Ulanzi. Plus the neewer one is easy to remove. 🙌🏾💯
Yeah, Ulanzi has some pretty nice products. But looking in the reviews for the Ulanzi and seeing people claiming to use "super glue" and other potentially damaging nonsense to keep it from failing was just a no go for me altogether. Neewer ftw.
This looks like a solid solution for the ZV1. I was thinking if turning off active steadyshot and using a spare Weebill S for stabilisation. Would that be good solution? Great video

I think for you this will be a great addition for you especially when your vlogging around town. I think it may throw the gimbal off a bit but then again I may ne wrong because some camera lens weigh more than the ZV1 and the neewer lens together. 🙌🏾💯

If I pick up this lens I'll have the same cage compatibility issues you had, so I'll pick up the Smallrig cage you reviewed earlier as well. Love the content, keep up the good work!

Now keep in mind i did not manual zoom at all. Its just the crop in when you switch to Active steady show. Then add the lens to the active steady shot and you get your wide angle back while in active steady shot.

Yep any gimbal would work. Take a look at the crane M3 and see if you like that one. 🙌🏾💯

My Sony zv1 is not great at vlogging I have tried different settings but the video is poor
You can throw it in auto mode and let the camera do all the work. Make sure you are using 4k.

Could the small rig cage fit around the adapter?
Take a look on the channel there is a video for the one that fits. The smallrig wooden L bracket fits but not the full cage. 🙌🏾💯

The zoom in isn't any different from what my eyes can see ,it zooms out but not any bigger than what my eyes can see can u help

Yep you can put filters on it. The internal ND works pretty good with this setup as well.
