GopPro5 was the last action camera that that has a nice video quality - later Gopros have horrible image rendering.

Great shots, are you using back button focus it help for sports photography. I had an instructor tell me to focus on the batter, then look at the pitcher once their arm goes back start shooting and don't stop until tha batter has swung through. Use a high shutter speed (1/1000 or higher) and you may catch the ball coming off the bat. When you are editing play with the shadows I believe this will lightened up you daughters face.😊

Standard audio and Rode sounded the best. The wireless sound was “muddy”, would be my least favorite.

I like your comparison!! And I like the lighter sound that you have with the Vocaster best but I know you can easily tweak the sound on the Rodecaster to get a similar sound. I actually own both devices (Vocaster 2) and I was very happy with the Vocaster once they upgraded the software to include the ability to tweak the presets. The only reason that I purchased the Rodecaster was because I teach online and wanted to listen to music on my end but not broadcast that to the students. Now Vocaster customer service said there was a way to do this (and explained it) with software on the Vocaster but it got a little too complex to me. Truth be told I just like trying out new gear and just wanted an excuse to get the Rodecaster Duo. For me it is total over kill but I do like it having the faders for different things. I also wanted to learn about EQ and Low Pass Filters and all of that other stuff audio people talk about. But if not for that music channel thing I would have stuck with the Vocaster. I think the Vocaster is terribly underrated and dirt cheap!!! One thing that I would like to add is simplicity can be a good thing. In my first online class with the Duo I ended up unplugging everything in the middle of class and going back to the Vocaster because something when wrong. I soon when back to the Duo after studying up, but I learned a lesson, more bells and whistles equals a steeper learning curve. You can get a Vocaster one right now on B&H and Amazon for $59!!! That is crazy to me. Like I said before, it's totally underrated.

How do you have the LCD screen on and functioning with the monitor? I have a 90D canon and I can only find people saying its not possible

I have the Fifine Mix and was thinking about switching to XLR but..... Sounds exactly the same. I even played back this video 3 times. 🤷 Can't tell a difference.

So it didn’t occur to you to buy some other, more reliable brand? I had these (gen 1) for about a week before returning them. Lots of tweeter hiss, total junk of a spekaer set. Now I’m about to get Adam Audio D3V.

I've been using this exact camera with a 50mm prime lens for almost two years now. I make instructional videos with head shots for my college students. I love it so much! The videos look professional and smooth. I sometimes cannot believe I made the videos myself :) So, yes, I still recommend this camera.

Thanks. I thought you could charge the case and use it as a portable power bank. I'll probably return it because it's useless if it needs to be plugged in all the time to charge the batteries.
