Duuuuude... I grew up in the city, but my grandparents had 75 acres of alfalfa like 50 miles out of town, and we threw hay bails every year at harvest.
Also during the summer, we did landscaping for my aunt and uncle, who were Marine DI's in the 70's.
When my brother and I were 13 and 12, we spent the entire summer in the house we remodeled. One weekend, dug up and re-sculpted a backyard pathway of 6, tons of landscaping brick. In late June. In a 105° heat wave.
When my brother joined the core in 2018, he was already prepared for how hard they work you.
Moving rocks hit home with me. Except in my backyard it was a few dozen railroad ties.
There's a difference between gym strength and work strength. No freaking doubt

He had a not perfectly consistent rookie this season & Hollywood Brown as his #1 receiver in his other MVP season. Raise your hands if those were your top fantasy football choices. I don't know why some QBs get consideration for their team's coaching & play-calling & others don't, especially as Lamar's old OC has had some of the most in-depth videos done on what he does wrong & it's _everything._ If he wasn't there to undermine Lamar's chances of getting the huge contract then something is _seriously wrong_ with ownership & management of that team.

As much as I agree that the NIL should be more formal, just because a person does not sign something specific does not mean there is not a contract. Generally, contracts only require an offer, acceptance, and consideration. Yes, it is preferred to have a written contract, but an oral offer, that is said with serious intent to honor, can be an enforceable contract. That is why I agree that there should be a more formal process.

Wow Brock Purdy 12th seems like a terrible take. Especially with someone like Lawrence above him. What has Lawrence done in the NFL that has shown he can produce better than Purdy? When does actual NFL production matter more than a draft position? Not sure how to grade this are we saying who has the best athletic scores or who plays the position the best?
Lawrence and Herbert over any other top 10 QB and they don't compare in stats/wins/production. So why is draft postiion and combine stats still what people rank on?

Every advanced stat says Purdy is an at worst a Top 10 QB, and many place him firmly in the Top 5. Jimmy G, Trey Lance, CJ Betheard, Nick Mullins, and Sam Darnold couldn’t produce anywhere near Purdy’s level. Since that Miami game in 2022, nobody has more TDs or fewer INTs. Nobody averages more air yards per attempt or completion. No QB in NFL history has ever had a season where they were top 5 in yards and bottom half in completions. That’s called efficiency!

Simply because there are only 20 guys who can do it proficiently at any given time? Of course there are jobs with higher stakes, like brain surgeon or astronaut. But there are way more than 20 people who can do those jobs well. What other job can only 20 excel at?

Let me throw you guys for a loop. th-cam.com/video/5JO1PsupF_U/w-d-xo.html. Count how many times ball -placement from the QB forces the receiver to0 have to stop altogether or a few more inches might have meant they don't get tackled. Fields throws only 2 of the latter.
Caleb throws over 10 of both kinds.
Fields was _WAY more_ accurate a passer as well as better rusher than Caleb in college only media didn't call him generational. Likely because those pretty spirals that Caleb threw were caught, making him Look spectacular. But he's not in Fields' _league_ when it comes to accuracy.
If you watch highlights, despite the lack of on-field talent (let's play "how many times do his receivers deflect passes that hit them in the hands into becoming INTs or Incomplete Passes") Fields not only still does in the NFL everything Caleb has only so far done in college he actually improves in '21, threading those eye-level passes just out of reach of defenders like Dan Marino used to.
Everything changed in '22. It's just even former players have short memories like the fans do. Man, _everything_ Fields got blamed for was actually due to play-calling & lack of on-field talent.
Here's hoping he gets to start anywhere soon.
