Thank you so much for this. COVID and a fire hit my family hard and I didn’t have any money for a mechanic when I had an ignition coil code pop up while 2,000+ miles away from home. This literally saved me $200, fixed my issues and got me back home safely without further issues. You’re awesome!
Went to a mechanic place and they told me it was 240$ to replace my Kia Soul 2021 ignition coil. They said the part was 160$ and labor was 80$....I got the part online for 50$ and it took all of 30 seconds to replace...Why are so many mechanic places an actual scam.
Because they can. Replaced my fuel pump. It would have cost $1400+ at a shop. Typical upcharge on parts is 30%, so $700 for the pump and a minimum of 4 hours labor at $70 per on a 30- minute task. I can't do everything but just about anyone can do this kind of maintenance.
Because they have to pay people “livable wages”, pay rent for the building, pay for the constant barrage of radio/tv/internet advertisements, then pay corporate bonuses. Save yourself the money and do it yourself.
No, new ignition coils don't typically have to be placed in a specific order. However, it's always best to keep track of the order while removing the old ones in order to avoid possible confusion. Do you have to reset any codes or anything after you replace?
As long as there are no other issues, just drive and cel will reset on its own.
@@YOUCANIC Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply.

What about a 2020 Kia soul?
What is going on with those Cars? I don't have no problem at all. why my 2012 still good?
My Kia was giving a catalytic converter problem code and the whole time it was my coil and spark plugs
...... i just spent how much money when i could have looked up this video before and done it myself? That's so easy. 🥲
