- Hey! So finally Mum gets involved and washes Phil! This time it was filmed from Dad's perspective hence the Dad jokes throughout! Phil didn't appear to change any of his routine and did us proud at least with continuity of character haha. He found a new angle to try and hide in the corner so at least he had a few different white tiles to stare at, one of his bath time hobbies is counting the tiles on the wall before he gives in.
Phil pretended not to want treats but tried to sneak one quickly like baby shark! Oh and he doesn't appreciate the kids bath toys on that not, he wasn't amused. All in all it was a successful bath as you can see from the Philth (see what I did there)
He did get rinsed with clean water, placed in his robe, slippers on and laid up by the log fire watching videos of Milo getting bathed on TH-cam (seriously we did it)

I love how the whole family supprts Phil because he dont like baths. To soothe him and love on him. They were so patient and loving towards him. ❤

My corgi/husky mix does this. Although, she doesn't bark at anything and hasn't since the day I brought her home. Only way I can bath her is to get in the shower with her and close the curtain. Thankfully, she hasn't figured out she blow through the curtain with ease.
I tried pushing my husky also to get into bath. Well he protested with a bite! You are very lucky with such a sweet demeanored pup

It’s definitely entertainment. My cat would watch out the window, when my mom bathed our dogs outside. It was like she was saying “ha ha, you get a bath, I don’t.” So I think he is definitely seeing this as entertainment.

I adore Phil's pawrents' patience and love for Phil. He is one of the luckiest doggies on this planet. Phil is aging, but his pawrents are taking care of him very well, since he was a puppy, their love for this dog has never faded away. It's beautiful!

@@AR-82 Yes, unfortunately bigger dogs usually have shorter lifespan than smaller dogs (i.e: A Chihuahua life expectancy is between 12 to 20 years old, while a Great Dane life expectancy is only between 8 to 10 years). Phil indeed has gotten older, but he's such an adorable pup and extremely cute! :-)

Phil facing the wall and being stubborn, is cute. No matter what Phil does, it's always cute. I just wish he could regenerate fur on his tail, poor thing the tail looks so small now. But he is still cute regardless and will remain cute.

Hello Audrey, I am so happy to hear from you. I am fine here but the snow is far from gone. Monday and Tuesday we got about 22 inches of snow. The roads are clear but we still have lots of snow on the ground. I have a feeling it will be around until March. I hope you are doing well, I have been keeping and eye out for you. Philly Bear is just so cute when he hides in the corner. I use to do the same thing when i got in trouble as a kid, lol xx

One thing to ease Phil’s tension of the bath might be to put down a non slip mat or even a couple of towels on the bottom of the bath. My staffy used to hate the bath cause she would slip on the tub and their claws don’t help at all. When I started putting down towels so she has grip she didn’t mind baths so much.
If you watch earlier videos of them bathing Phil you will see that they have tried that and other things, the issue is Phil doesn't like to be in clean water.
Sometimes I feel like Phil's bath time vídeos are sadistic. Like Schindler's list.

@@demonknight9881 it would be due to preparation to bathe Phil, I take my rings off due to the fact that some dog shampoos can discolour them or my dogs fur could get trapped in it and i fear that I’d accidentally pull some of his fur out (has happened before) 🤗

Could Phil wear a raincoat/suit (for dogs) when he goes walkies? It is like rain bibs or mud pants for doggies.
