Jesse what's thoughts still on this reel? Still like it? I have a St.croix Mojo Inshore 7'6" medium light and wanting to pair it with a 3000. Would you go with the normal clash 2 or high speed?
That's a tough one. It really depends on if you want a faster gear ratio. I honestly liked the red color and power knob so I went with the HS. Either one will get the job done for you. These reels are still my goto for inshore fishing. They have done me very well the last couple months
@@Jessewrightfishing I live in Tampa and do all my fishing inshore either from my kayak or my bay boat. My only gripe I have with Penn is that they're heavier then some of the competitors. But damn every time I hold that new clash I really like it. Right now I have a fuego LT on the St.Croix and its a super light set-up for casting all day. But I'm in need of a new reel and I'm looking at this new clash. Can you tell a big difference between the normal clash compared to the HS?
@@jasoncalvert9824 The main difference between the reals is going to be gear ratio the power knob between the 2 and the color. Our than that both reels are pretty much identical in every other aspect. Once you start fishing with the clash II You won't really notice a difference in weight. Ill take durability over light weight anyday! I also throw nothing but artis
It's not sealed like the Spinfisher so if you want a reel that can take getting splashed by saltwater I would go with the SSVI. As for surf fishing you can't go wrong with either length rod you'll still be able to make long casts no matter which you go with.
@@Jessewrightfishing still less than shimano and it's more beefy i have 2 2500 clash's and a 2000 conflict awesome reel's and i have been thru all the braid brand's and spiderwire is the best
Great reels! I have a 2500 and 4k. I do like my Slammer III reels too. Can't beat those drags!
Good job. Excellent info. I miss coming to Betts. See you soon. Coy
What's up dude? You can still come by it's just curb side pick up only. :(
im happy they changed the bail arm to a 1 piece. my 10lb braid kept getting in the joint and cutting with my 2500 clash
Great Vid! Great gear breakdown! Once these are in at Betts, I'm picking up a 3000 series!
I'm patiently waiting. I want one too! Thanks for watching

Is it as strong as the spinfisher? I mean, from the construction point of view. My fear is the body twists when big fishes are hooked.
It much lighter, so probably not.

@@jasoncalvert9824 Not a problem dude. Hope this helps
Can't decided if I want the 2000 or 2500.
I just picked up a 2500 yesterday
Cool. Any word when y'all will open for regular business ?
@@John_D2 Looks like Monday I believe. Not 100% sure yet
Ok , thanks.
how does this compare to the penn spinfisher? also what size would you recommend for a 10'6" -11 foot rod for surf fishing with bunker for bass?

@@ediazarif Yeah the Clash 1 is a great reel. Hopefully the new Clash will be available soon
Not sealed like the Spinfishers? BTW Go Bucs ☠️☠️ Go Lightning ⚡️⚡️
It doesn't unfortunately but it's still pretty water tight. Go Bucs and Go Bolts. Hope the season gets back and going soon
Is that a 5000 or a 4000 ?
This is the 5000
redfishjesse oh ok my 4000hs just came in can’t wait to get it wet
It's a great tool but it's overpriced by about $60
I disagree
