But I'm back! And I have plans for more knitting machine videos for you all, as well as another channel dedicated to canal boat life, which is here:

I hope you're now feeling better. I used to live on a narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal. Now I live in France. I've only just found your videos and I'm looking forward to going through them.
The machine that you sold me after Covid is still going strong and is about to be cranking out winter socks. Hope you’re enjoying boating life

Hi Charlie, great you're back! Are you planning to do any mobile machine servicing? I have a 950i , just plugged in and billowing smoke!
Not really I'm afraid. Billowing smoke suggests, if you are lucky, a new capacitor, and if you are not, a dead machine. Sorry to be gloomy...
@@singlentendre Thank you foe your reply Charlie. Have ordered new capacitor- if this isn't the problem and I have a dead machine, anything else i can do?
Will there be any maintenance videos as I have a problem with card feeding knob in that I can’t get it to push down to feed any patterns in. It actually hurts my hands to push it down?
What model? Brother standard punch card? The feeder knob always was pretty fierce but it shouldn't be actually hurting you!
@ I have a brother KH881, I had to change the punch card part as the pink cam part had disintegrated, I changed the part which included having to put in place the card reader spring and some black pin like things that fit through the holes at the top. Everything seemed to back together well but when I put it back in the case I started to notice the knob would not go down and also the card lock lever is now hard to shift. I hope this all makes sense.
Ah, yes. You have almost certainly put the return indicator back in wrong. Fortunately I *do* have a video planned which should help, although I'm afraid not for another couple of weeks. Look out for the video on how the punch card mechanism works.
