Golden Age of GTA. Best game. I remember when this first came out, I was visiting my older cousin in Florida, staying up all night with him as he was doing the various missions. I was completely mesmerized and glued to the screen. He wouldn't let me play, but it didn't even matter at that moment.
I played this game whenever i had time off during my first time in the army. Good times - during my time off. The rest were hungry, cold and wet times. Also this track is fuckin amazing.
RockstarGames developed the game in 2 years! Seems, not just the gamers had fun, but also the developers, creators, designers, musicians and artists. This is not just a game, but a *piece of art!* Kudos
This is so good that I had to login and comment. This would be an incredible intro to a remastered version of vice city, or any other game with the same aesthetics tbh. Those initial synth chords are so on point - they are dead serious: you are about to enter a world where same fucked up complex shit has happened and there are characters with a story to tell. You are about to go through something, an experience, that you will take with you for the rest of your life, and you won't be the same person... ever again.
The city gleamed like a dream on the waves. A band a white sand hugged by a sea of sparkling blue ocean. In it the neon glow of the city pulsed like a heartbeat, enticing me, calling me. If God himself wished to build a new paradise on Earth. He would have made his home here amongst the luscious green, the broad walks with its many colorful people, and the throbbing vide of an era that only comes once in a pale blue moon. -Me, an ode to Vice City.
I wish this had been upgraded to work on PS4. It was great, but looking back now at the graphics and being it was a PS2 game. It can't compare. The soundtrack though...
