Hey buddy what's up? You might remember me, my name is Allen Peck - We had some comments back-and-forth the other week and you seem like an all-around pretty knowledgeable guy with all things vehicle, and I am definitely not, lol. So, I hope you don't mind, it's not on this videos' topic, but I wanted to ask you a question and I don't have anyone else to ask: I'm about to buy a 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant ES with 115,000 miles. He wants $2,200, but I'm prepared to give him $1,800. Is this a good car? Is that a decent price? (Great runner, great body, no dents, no rust, no Bondo, and an $800 sound system incl Poo 9) Now, is this something you would know about? If not, I'm sorry for wasting your time, but I figured that I would ask.
    Thanks, Allen

Hey man! Totally ok to ask me stuff, cus nobody makes comments on my vids anyways, glad to see ur still hangin around my channel 😉 Just dont know why more ppl havent subscribed to me, maybe my vids arent simple enough. Im thinking I need more general stuff like how to check your car.
Anyways, ya thats an interesting car cus i dont recall ever even working on one in all these years. Most important to me is how well its been maintained. Sounds like a great car in the reviews! for the price too, for city driving. So make sure theres no big oil leaks underneath. Brakes, important cus that will cost the most usually, that includes flushing your brake fluid! If its black/dark green, be prepared for more work ahead like corroded lines that will blow, wheel cylinder leaking. Tiiming belt! does it have one? Another costly repair (expect >500$) Just know what repairs may be needed soon.
Again, if youd like, Reddit is full of communities like auto repair for everyone to share info, and ask questions. I use it often. You could get an answer pretty quick from people too!
Thanks for commenting and continuing watching my vids!

@@whtmustang Hey ya, thank you for the info - Good Stuff. And you're right about the timing belt with that car. Consumer Reports mentioned that expense -Huge..
About the channel- if I could make a suggestion about your videos' content, that might make them a little bit more viewer friendly, maybe you shouldn't go with such specialized content. I think it would be hard to find a large audience that way. I think you were on the right track with what you said in your previous comment. Just more general stuff to appeal to the people who need those general type answers: checking out your car- how to do this, that and the other thing in the easiest way possible. Simple stuff, shown how-to by you, in a easier or different way, 'tricks of the trade ' coming from your years of expertise, doing just those things. You know what I mean? Just a few suggestions, pretty good ones I think. Hope things pick up
