What an incredible band! Senri is one of the best in the world.
This is song from best Japanese heavy fusion band FRAGILE - Kozo Suganuma was Senri's teacher, she is perfect here, best person to play this besides Kozo who passed a few years ago.

Yeah, that's the thing, right? If I were back there, I'd be flailing around trying to hit these beats. But excellent drummers know how to conserve stroke movements. I don't know how else I'd be doing it.
She has such Lightning fast wrists and holds the sticks at their very end for the range she needs for all her cymbals. Many drummers who hold that far down throw a stick regularly but I’ve only ever seen her lose one once.
According to other people's comments, she has already performed this song live 12 years ago (at age 14).
There's a rule: when a person is very good at a thing, they always make doing that thing look easy.

Yes, then you need to hear the original japanese band of this guitarist that did this song and 10 great albums in this style in the 90s-00s, his band named FRAGILE from Japan. a fusion power trio with this guitarist, a different bassist, and drummer Kozo Suganuma (who passed a few years ago) who was Senri's drum teacher for long time, so she is perfect to replace him here on these songs, she probably learned to play them many times over the years from him. She plays just like him.
Go to the site progarchives and look up Fragile to see all their 10 great heavy fusion albums. I have all their albums since the 90s when they came out, they were best hard fusion band of the 90s-00s. It mixes holdsworth with Tribal Tech Scott Henderson, along with sometimes moments of very heavy metal to very mellow calmer weather report / metheny / mike stern moments into the best fusion power trio band of the 90s-00s era, when most other fusion bands were dead or went soft with no energy, they had energy and chops to burn

I love this so much. Senri is a god. This thing is Holdsworthian. I miss this style of fusion so much since Alan passed. This band is the shit. If you close your eyes, you'd swear it was the mid-80's and it's Alan, Chad and Jeff Berlin. I saw Holdsworth quite a few times during that decade and these cats freaking nailed the vibe. Lord have mercy.

Koichi sounds so good. Senri shines on songs like these. She still delivers that power and drive-while dazzling us with technical fun. It never gets muddy or takes away from the groove. Makes me wonder how she would cover a very technical and powerful song like White Walls form the Between the Buried and Me.

@@empireentertainmentevents1353 He was the drummer for Yes and King Crimson and he played with Genesis on tour after Collins became the vocalist. He is considered to be a pretty good drummer. I wouldn't quite call him world famous though, not like Keith Moon or Carl Palmer, though I think he did get voted Best Drummer in British music papers like New Musical Express and Melody Maker a couple of times.
