The SC is too obtuse and entitled to render clear-eyed assessments. He wants to play smart. In this interview, he is deliberately ambivalent simply because the political atmosphere is not as comfortable for Ruto's buddies like him, as has been the case in the period preceding the current protests.

This is by far the most informative video I've come across.
Kenya has many problems but clearly, and new evidently, the root of them all is our leaders and their stubborn culture of selfish interests. How can the president intend to rehire someone they fired, in his own words, "upon reflection, listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said and after a holistic appraisal of the performance of..." the said individuals? Are these people more important than the constitutional role of the ministerial offices they occupy? Or is the president just surrounded by a bunch of idiots? I mean, we just saw the other day a bunch of parliamentarians too blinded to challenge his recommendations just because they are shadowed under his political party. President Ruto had a chance to show Kenyans a gesture of good will and inclusive representation based on merit and integrity, by recommending new and professionally sound Kenyans. If this chance is lost, then the "gods" will be damned.

Actually what we luck in CS is managerial competence. Running a ministry is like running a private company. The most important person in the minstry is the PS. The PS should have mangerial experience basically he is the one putting systems in place to deliver the services. In that the PS ensures there is no corruption, seals all corruption loopholes, ensures the systems are working efficiently.
The CS is like the board chairman who ensures that the PS is implementing the vision.

I want to know if this man is ok in the head? I can't imagine a sane man would sack an incompetent cabinet amidst protests, have the opportunity to shift the trajectory of Kenya towards a broght future with a qualified cabinet, but goes and reappoints the very same cabinet. IS HE OK?Duale? Kindiki? What is Ruto saying???
Edit: He has now brought back Murkomen 😭😭 And has brought back others. But the worst is he has brought that drug lord, extravagant Tiktoker, and the man that destroyed a road in Mombasa in the middle of the night just because one of his critics made a cabro road for the people, JOHO, as a CS for mining! JOHO??? Joho??? I feel like naweza chizi sasa. I ask again, what is wrong with this man????!! Is HE OK?

Lawyers are very smart people. One thing they are taught before passing their exams or before qualifying is always to give hope to clients even if they know that client is going nowhere and in the evening to sit down with the opposition lawyer and discuss how to prolong the case and keep both sides happy and both sides keep on encouraging the opposing parties that we are winning and we are on the right track. So that is the way of every smart lawyer! Always pray that you never have to approach any lawyer and settle the matter out of court if possible and agreeable.

That's 100% true. Murkomen was selected tribalistically and based on the fact of defending Ruto in Bomas of Kenya. We remember that even when Ruto was mistreated Murkomen stood up n stood with Ruto. So he technically has no clue about Road n could not deliver as a CS. RUTO made a huge mistake to appoint them based on election campaign performance. He would have awarded them with other jobs not MINISTRY bwana

The president knew what he wanted to achieve by appointing the calibre of people so as to achieve it. Not once he was televised saying his cabinet were just tourist and knew nothing concerning their dockets. One was left bewildered as to how he retained them for that long.

As they say , it rots from the head. Most people thought Ruto would change his past ways but he went a head to appoint his friends with agreement of sharing the loot. The beat goes on. No wonder the corruption would be pointed but himself would excuse the issue very casually.

Ndu Okoh, Ruto was held captive by those cabinet individuals that were not performing. He didn't know how to approach someone like Murkomen that he ably botched from a successful MP to his cabinet that you are going the wrong way, comfortably. He may have regretted appointing those that ended skunky, but how to relieve them their position. Another possibility is that, maybe those cabinets saw or witnessed weak points by the president himself and felt they equally had a right to scoop something for themselves. Just thinking aloud. Until you deal with cause-effect relationship in sociology, you can't resolve a problem. Absolving Kuria, Chirchir and Murkomen from such glaring evidence or culpability meant that President Ruto knew or knows something deep that we the citizenry are not privy to-sadly!!!!!!!
