Addi Express : Scarf with hood

  • Addi Express King: Hooded Cowl. While searching online I came across a similar hooded cowl. Since the project called for knitting, I pulled out my Addi Express King Circular knitting machine. To make the knitted cowl I just used a flat panel & a tube. The Hooded Cowl looks more complicated than it actually is. The Addi Express pattern is very easy to complete. You can complete this Addi express pattern on other circular knitting machine such as the Prym, loops & threads knitter & the Innovations Knitting machine.

    Please keep these addi videos coming!! I just got my king today and my pro is on the way. This gives me something fun to do when I’m home not feeling well from my sickle cell disease. Thank you for the time spent teaching us!

    Alysha thank you! This is a excellent tutorial. I really love how you are adding your 'text' row count and info onto the screen now. That helps everyone so much! I also love your explanation and "little hands" showing the side of a panel and the loops and knots. That was really good! This 'front post, back post' double crochet stitch is really interesting and it adds a nice touch to the brim. Looks like a ribbing almost, but better. I like it! Also I'm truly amazed how well you were able to use that (hard to see yarn) and make it work in this tutorial! Also excellent teaching on how to close the ends of a scarf! Thank you for another great tutorial.

    I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I have very limited experience crocheting or doing any kind of knitting (have always been more into quilting) and your video actually made sense to me. It is very helpful to see you break it down, repeat the stitches a few times and actually verbalize what you are doing. Great job!

    You are amazing! I have had the king size for almost two years, but hardly use it because I couldn't think hmm of anything to make with it. Thank you for this!

    I love your clear instructions! Easy to understand. I’m so intimidated by flat panels. I just need to bite the bullet and try it! This is great! ❤️

    I completed this project today. Thank you! Thank you! I wish I could attach a snap. Had (3) black leather buttons that I attached. Made with heather grey Red Heart (from my old yarn stash).

    Hi Alysha, I'm working using sz 8 cable knitting needles. How many sts do I cast on for the hood portion of the hooded cowl??

  • @AWalkWithSusan

    Thank you for the tutorial. I love how the hood turned out. The only I was not following was the tails. How long are they? Are they from when you completed the rows or coming from the ball of yarn? I want to make one for my daughter. Thank you.

    Got my ADDI king since July of last year and never got it open and out of the box 😁 But this tutorial inspired me. It’s beautiful 😍 I’ll give it a shot. How many skeins of yarn do you need for the project? Is it a worsted weight #4?

  • @feataure
    @feataure 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for something for the Addi other than tube hats! I’m going to be working through several of your lovely tutorials. Was this just one skein of the Bernat denim? Asking because I have one in my stash and love the look for this. :)

    Sorry, I'm very new to this, do you use cable needles to make the tube? Or is there a Crochet technique for it?

    • @jos6740
      @jos6740 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You use a knitting machine e.g. the addi.
      Of course crocheting or circular needles would work as well.
