My Model WET4027HW0 is not like this one. Was able to remove the lid....but there are no clips. Then removed those beige colored things. That's it! :( There are a bunch of screws on cover but also on some brackets that appear to hold the dryer up there. Help me!

Thank you so much! I’m on a limited income and needed to fix this part on my washer. Your video helped give me the confidence to fix it myself. And I just finished fixing it! Thank you so much!

      Hi Karen,
I just read your comment and I was wondering what the problem was with your washer combo. Mine washes but the machine stops right before the drain and spin. I like you, want to problem solve and fix this myself, then we will both be proud of ourselves!...no man around to help out.

@@t.b.1596 hello! I’d suggest start by googling ‘washer stops before rinse’. Read and watch videos to try and get sense of what part it is. From just briefly looking, mentioned was possibly the problem being a faulty ‘water inlet valve’. Also see if there is a video for your machine brand that shows you what’s involved to replace it. Good luck!

@@karenwright1869 Thanks for getting back to me. I have watched video's and read your comment. I was just wondering what the problem was with your machine. Could you please comment back and let me know what happened to yours? thank you!

@@t.b.1596 Intermitantly the washer would stop mid cycle, didn't matter if it was to drain, or spin, or oscillate. Sometimes I would 'fix' it, pushed lid down harder, jiggling the plastic bit that receives the plastic stick thing on the lid that makes it work when the lid is down. Then it smoked and stopped working all together.

Literally JUST did this. Relatively straight forward. A couple issues we had:
We did NOT have a nut driver, so had to use a wrench to undo bolts.
Grounding wire for our original switch at the switch part was superglued to grounding metal=a little annoying.
And third, to get new switch lined up, we lifted part too high, which caused the lid springs to unseat, so when we tried to close it, we broke them. No biggie, since it still works, it's just our lid now will not stay open or have the little extra force to stay closed. Other than these minor issues(you live and learn), it seems to be working. We are a little concerned about the water fill in wash, not sure if new switch affects this, but we started with "extra small" and the amount of water seemed too much. Never really looked before though, so we will just keep an eye on it.
